ok, so my Metroplex came yesterday, and had a chance to really take a look at him, transform him , let my son play with him a bit
, then apply the stickers.
I'm so glad I have this now, but I feel I have a bit of a unique perspective. most who wanted this toy got it 5-6 years ago when it was first released, under the former design team. I was just thinking of getting back in, so honestly, until now, I never really handled anything from the former design team.
Now having Metro in hand, saying Fort Max is a straight up copy isn't really accurate. Much was changed from Metro to make Fort Max. To me, metro is a much more loosey-goosey figure that is difficult to stand up under its own legs. Fort Max feels more solid to me. Also in the last few lines, we've seen much more of an effort to have toys in general try to all tab in nicely. Metro has very little of that.
He is an awesome toy, no doubt there, but I feel like he could break very easily, especially in some of the transformations, such as when the back flaps of the legs come out for city mode. Not sure if I am doing something wrong in the transformation, but they feel very tight, and snap hard when coming around.
