Does anyone have any idea just how long Activision has the license for Transformers Video Games?

I was talking with someone about the new TF Devastation game and the discussion mentioned how Activision had ruined some game franchises in the past.

Do you think they'll do the same to Transformers? I'm leaning towards no since a big company like Hasbro own TF and is involved.

This partnership has existed since at least 2009 and gone on. While none of the movie-based titles were particularly good games, they sold well enough, and the High Moon games had both decent sales and widespread critical acclaim, so Hasbro has every incentive to keep the partnership going.

Most licensing agreements are for very short periods, but based on deductive reasoning, it seems like Activision will be releasing TF games for the foreseeable future.

Trust me, I understand the worry, given how quickly Activision ran Skylanders into the ground and gradually eroded everything unique and interesting about Call of Duty. But the change of developer from Edge of Reality and RotDS to Platinum Games with Devastation instills some confidence in me. I didn't hate the last game, but I'm happy to try a new one with a different style, and they're still trying to please the fans in the same way High Moon meant to. I can't really find fault with their intentions.
