****, beat me to it. And that's only the most recent, where they should have been able to iron out most of the wrinkles in the plot, but instead they just ignore everything for booms. And what was with having the Dinobots shown being frozen in the Arctic if they were on Lockdown's ship the whole time anyway? Totally and completely unnecessary.

Also, sorry Sly, but the Dinobots were bad, and you should feel bad.

It's not a plot hole, because it never happened in the movie.

If Seibertron allows users to be mean to other members of the fandom in the forums, can I be mean to a large part of the fandom all at once? Cause all you guys are complete a-holes.

I made a tongue-in-cheek post about how transformer fans are a good reason to hate human kind back on Page 4 of this thread. I come back and read the following two pages afterwards. What do I find?

JazZeke wrote:Dude, that is without a doubt, the saddest, most pathetic thing I have ever read.

Thank you all for reminding me why Transformer fans are the worse scum on the planet. I will do my best to go back to avoiding the forums now. Don't get me wrong, I love Transformers and really enjoying sharing my passion with others. But until Seibertron starts banning people that make personal attacks on character, I will share my love with other people; ones that actually have hearts to love with.

You really should go read more of Sly's postings, especially those where he discusses his hatred of human kind, before you go around judging people.

Oh and we try not to ban people. We try to give people the chance to express themselves freely without having the fear of the ban hammer hanging over their heads simply because they said a naughty word.

Again, I feel compelled to ask this; what are these "plot holes," people keep finding in these movies?

Uh, duh.

1. They probably weren't even using that device at the time. Eventually, they probably would have found Optimus, anyway. And obviously, the kind of barn that Cade has. Even so, Optimus was sitting down in the basement. They make it sound like he was standing straight up, 30 feet and all.

2. It was never established that the particles could defy gravity. They're still bound by physics. Just because they can glide through the air doesn't mean they can fly around all over the damn place.

3. Shane said the car was broken. I guess whoever the hell wrote this didn't even pay attention to the movie.

4. He got the ability to fly when he assumed his Knight mode, when he grabbed the sword aboard the Knight's Temenus. He didn't have the ability to do **** all along. Plus, there is no Linkin Park song in the movie, so this entire point is ****.

And for that last one, Optimus never says ONLY the Autobots can repair him. He says that they can, but Cade offers to do it, instead. Cade repaired him. He didn't repair himself by scanning the damn car, nor did they ever establish that that's what happened. It's just a bunch of people pulling things out of their ass to try to make up "plot holes," for the movie.

Even with all these "plot holes," there are tons of movies which are critically acclaimed that have many more. So, what constitutes as "bad writing," when the movie has less plot holes than supposed "good movies"?

My thoughts exactly. Every time I hear someone complain about a plot hole it's always something they didn't pay attention to, or misinterpreted completely just to find something to complain about.

Grass is green, sky is blue, Michael Buy sucks, and If you are his fun then you sucks too.

However, I can partially agree, that many "plot holes" are result of problem with logic thinking (Aka famous "Optimus can be killed only by a Prime" theory, witch never had right to exist in a firce place). On the other hand, even if we ignore this, the movies are still illogical(just like most of explenations) even by action movies standards.

I know, it's a goddamn shame people have to make up "plot holes," just for the sake of talking **** about a movie. I know you wouldn't deny it today, seeing as though it's the "cool," thing to do, huh? To just sit around making **** up to exaggerate a movie's flaws, just because one person had a single thing to do with it. That is sad.

No, what's sad is you. You have your head buried so far up your ass you can't even comprehend the notion that people actually found flaws in these movies.

Reality check kid. These movies are far from perfect. It's time you dislodged your head and woke up to reality. PEOPLE DO NOT WORSHIP THESE MOVIES LIKE YOU DO!

Get off your damn high horse, sit down, shut up, and deal with the fact that your precious movies aren't shining gems in the eyes of everyone.

Or stay on your high horse and continued to be mocked. Your decision kid.

Look, if you want to like the movies, that's fine. I still pop the DVDs in on occasion (though I mostly just skip ahead to the fight scenes). But saying these movies are the "only important things in your life" is just... pathetic. What about loved ones? Hobbies? Interests? Causes? If you died today, would you really want the epitaph on your grave to be "He really liked those explodey robot movies"? For the luvva god, go out and read a book or something. Try talking to a girl, even.

And we don't dislike these movies because Michael Bay made them. We dislike them because they suck. Michael Bay's influence is just one of the causes of that suckage. Don't confuse a symptom for the whole disease.

Now if you want to rationalize excuses for the movie's many plot holes, that's all well and good, as a fanfic writer I enjoy doing that too (albeit for stories with problems with are much more minor). But don't pretend the flaws in those movies don't exist when people point them out, and don't throw a hissy fit just because people don't like something you do like. These movies are not worth it. You're doing more a disservice to yourself than anyone else.

Sly, as harsh as it sounds, maybe it's time you dropped the act. I have no problem with you enjoying the movies as much as you do, but it's really getting old, the way you'll defend everything to the point of being ridiculous. No right-minded adult could possibly see the TF movies as perfect, because there is NO SUCH THING as a perfect movie that's devoid of plot-holes, and especially not the Bayverse movies.

Nothing is exempt; not Star Wars, not the Nolan Batman trilogy, not the Bourne trilogy.

Your idea that everything in a Bayverse movie makes sense is just you making up fanfic to patch up plot inconsistencies which were never explained in the movies themselves. And that is exactly what it is; fanfic, not some subtle Easter egg the director planted to play with the audience. Granted, you do talk sense at times, but you also cover up for the other blatant and legitimate inconsistencies.

If the audience is expected to make up explanations for things, then it's poor exposition. No exceptions.

And FYI, I actually like the Bayverse movies as well as many of Bay's non-TF movies. But unlike you, I entertain no delusions that they are in any way perfect or even well-made. The CGI robots are all that's good about it; everything else ranges from average to horrid.

TL;DR, listen to JazZeke. He speaks the truth.

That extended panning across the street with Bud Light bottles strewn all over the asphalt really takes the cake. Budweiser could have made a short ad with just that alone. The Red Bull thing also seemed forced. I have to say the most of the other ones were quite tolerable, though.

Almost any movie have some plot holes, however, while in many times logic is sacrificed for something awesome, in Transformers plot holes are more to save Optimus Prime from getting his ass kicked again. Imagine Iron Man as a pathietic loser with only one skill - ability to find a way out from each tragedy thanks to the blind luck... Is this sound cool to you?

Blind luck works for Harry Potter doesn't it? I don't know what you're talking about though, I don't recall Optimus ever getting saved by dumb luck.
