i am too cheap to spring for the transrepro translucient wheeljack head, so i decided to repaint his noggin myself.
i think it looks good. you? i'm thinking of filling in the small lines on his "ears" w/ silver. whatdayouthink?

i used kustom kolors enamel (walmart)
royal blue
gloss black
and silver
then i put a coat of future floor wax on to protect from rub off. beautiful

good news - this is not automotive paint, it's model paint; toy section. NOTE: they card you for the purchase - damn huffers!

also note the nice reflection of his face on the hood. thats the future wax. i swear that is the best stuff. i coated about 90% of my alts w/ that stuff. and no, i do not work for future floor wax.

Hmm... I'll have to check again. The Wal-marts here only have the Testors stuff in the models section.

i'm sure that's just as good if not better. i've at least heard of testors many times b4. not so much for the kustom kolors. regardless, if you do happen to find the KK paint, it's pretty good stuff. it's for airbrush as well as brush applications.

EDIT: i'm also thinking about getting some chrome spray paint and chroming his wheels. anyone do this yet?

That's brilliant. By the shine, I thought I was looking at a BT. Future Wax, available at? link to pic if possible?
