Aw slag!!!
I ordered an AM-12 Breakdown and $70 bucks and a few days later he arrives...and has a great big melt mark on his chest plate. The online dealer says it is a manufacturer issue and is common, and won't exchange it. More fallout from Hasblo's retarded decision to not release it in the US. It might seem like a small thing to some, but it's a glaring mess to me. I'm funny that way, I guess.
Anyone else have this issue too?

Seems like the piece was not cut off the plastic spruce properly... That happens when you build model kits, same thing applies when factories assemble TFs. I have had similar glaring marks like these on other figures, but not on such an obvious spot.

I've not heard of it.
Add a few more with the aid of a soldering iron or matches and call it battle damage. He's a brawler anyway.

No I don't have this issue and I chose my breakdown from the shop and do not see in the other breakdowns.
Though I won't know for sure since my sample size is so small, maybe like around 8.

Interesting. So this is how RK handles customer issues. A cock and bull story. Yes, it was Robot Kingdom. Here's their response after I sent them photos:
"Thank you for your E-mail. This is a manufacturing problem which also happen on most of the stock of AM-12. I am afraid that no replacement can be shipped to you in this case."
I'd come to expect better in the time I was dealing with them. Guess I was wrong. No replacement, no couple bucks off, no store coupon, not even an apology. Well, fortunately, there are plenty of other dealers out there who sell the same stuff to give my money to. These guys just lost me.
I will likely be selling off this one (in an HONEST fashion with a discount for the blemish)after I acquire another non-marked one from another dealer.

I got one from BBTS and it was just like yours. Hit it with a blue sharpie, rubbed off all the excess so its just on the whiteish part and it's hardly noticable. Looked on ebay and most for sale had the same blemish. Got another one from a different vendor and when i first looked at it I thought it didnt have it, but it does, but you really have to look hard to see it. It does suck.

Well, on the one hand, it's total BS that this was allowed out of the factory in this state. In the words of Joel Hodgson of MST3K "it goes to show ya that THEY JUST DIDN'T CARE!"
On the other hand, at least this means that RK wasn't handing me a line of s**t about it being a common issue on all their stock. Guess I shouldn't be so harsh on them. In the words of the late Paul Lynde "I just sell the eggs, lady, I don't lay 'em!"

That sucks,
My Breakdown has the same sort of mark in exactly the same place but mine is much smaller. Im fortunate enough to be able to hide it by sliding the chest pieces in about a millimeter.
Do you still have your sticker sheet? If it were me then I would look at maybe trimming any unused stickers to cover it up. I only applied the knees, feet, waist and logos. The mark is at the bottom of the upper torso panel so you should be able to disguise it quite easily. Its just a shame because you shouldnt have to do anything at all
WANTED TO BUY
C-125:Shoki,
C126:Getsui,
C127:Yukikaze,
C129:Seizan.
MIB + unused stickers PM for details.

Hmm after reading how all of you guys have the issues I went and re-looked at mine, yea I have it too but it's really small and is also hide-able that's why I didn't see it the first time round. Most probably the ones I saw at the shop had these too but are small?
Maybe.. I'm not too concerned with this issue..

Fortunately, I don't have this issue with my Breakdown, nor does a friend of mine who has the figure as well.

Mine has it too, but it's way smaller. Besides, it doesn't matter. My PRiD Megatron has a strange black line on his chest, just pretend they're battle scars or something.

Holy crap, man, cool down. You can easily hide it, it's not the end of the world.

There's an awful lot of fanwank over something so insignificant.
I mean, it'd be one thing if it weren't on nearly every single specimen...but it is. It's even on the one in the product shot on the box!
Cool yourself down OP, it's not the end of the world.
Old fasioned games!

Come on everybody this is Ta-ble Flip!
