I love the Alternators toy line even though it's long dead. I love to mix it with the MP toy line which isn't dead.

I've never like the Binaltech story line about the cosmic dust and all that.

Once upon a time I had a storyline for this line. It was 2005. Three years had past since the end of the Great War on Cybertron. It ended with the capture of Megatron. His spark was removed and taken to a secret location: Earth.

But as time went by I started realizing how stupid this premise was. Optimus Prime would never endanger Earth like that.

I need a new premise for Alternators.

So here's my question: If you had to create a premise for Alternators (that did NOT evolve from G1) what would it be? I'm now leaning towards something more Bayverse with the Allspark and all that.

Well, you can slightly base it off of stuff like what was said as the promotion: they came to earth, and humans worked on them to make them look up to date. There was, however, no megatron. You could use Shockwave as the main bad guy, then Have Nemesis come in later and break loose all hell on the autobots over posession of the allspark, with a few human characters, IDK, just saw this and the Idea grew on me.

autobots fighting human inteligence working for the decepticons trying to rebuild the atom bomb. Seems likely enough to explain the whole car disguise. Since neither megs nor SS got an alternator, i'll say shockwave is in the lead of this.
