what figure is that?
2 of them actually. The first was the infamous green Ramulus.
The second was the blue Optimus Minor.
Supposedly only 4 of the former are known to exist. I suspect similarly low numbers on the unreleased blue Optimus Minor.

very impressive. i thought i was quite the beast wars buff... but ive never even heard of those. nice!

Yeah, there's tons of obscure Beast Wars stuff out there. I even have a few of the Lucky Draw figures. Once you start digging into the Takara exclusive stuff, especially from Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo, it gets really nuts. They did everything from statues, puzzles (with exclusive variants of figures), key chains, exclusive character coins, Kabaya style kits and even roleplay gun toys. Once you get into collecting everything Beast Wars, including the oddball Transmetal color variants, you end up realizing that it's one of the largest lines there is. Just collecting all of the standard US and Japanese releases is enough of a task (and most of them are different from one another), but once you start digging into the truly obscure, you're wallet will feel pain :P.

Nice :D! I've got a few prototypes myself including:
  • Tigerhawk
  • Universe Razorclaw (the repaint of Tigerhawk)
  • Universe Iguanus (the one based on the Transmetal Iguanus)

I'm glad you all know each other well enough to do so.

Otherwise, carry on with the otherwise civil discussion.

Dude, don't feel bad. It took me about 2 years to finally find an Antagony once I was in the financial position to afford her (around $500, which was actually a pretty sweet deal considering all the ones I'd seen up to that point were closer to $800 or so). She can be a tough one to get ahold of as can many of the 3H Beast Wars figures.

Pardon my coming in just to comment on an off topic tangent, but while Sisko may be the best 24th Century Captain, don't forget that even he turned into a giddy fanboy when he had the chance to get Kirk's autograph!

(Of course, part of what makes him bad ass is that he made sure to wait until after the job was done before indulging in that...)

The Thong song was badass too.

Scale wise, I agree with X in most respects. I'm pretty happy with most of my figures in relation to each other and it's really important to me - iGear's minibots are too large though. I kept FansProject Springer over the generations one because his size makes more sense to me. I am collecting the new BW figures and really want to pose them with MP01. Yes, scale is wildly varied in all fictions, but I broadly follow the Marvel comics scale as it makes more sense to me than the cartoons.

Also, the way this topic started out was downright nasty. This was a thinly veiled 'attack Rated X' topic which IMO should not be tolerated.
