Armada Snarl's Tail

Got some dinos in today, slightly dissappointed at some paint rubs when the seller they had only been displayed :[ But I guess I can try to touch them up with some paint..

Anyway, transformed Snarl into witch doctor/native American robot mode, and the flowertail weapon can't seem to stay open. I'm afraid if I try much harder I'll break the darn thing. Does anyone know it's secret to prevent it from snapping shut?

For reference, it's the same mold as BWNeo Saberback, BM Striker, and Universe Striker.

If this is in the wrong place I'm sorry I'm still learning sob

Yeah! That's the one. He's got a little spine on the bottom of his tail to open the snapping tail.

But

Since he's based on the BWNeo mold, and BWNeo had crazy "third modes", he has one too, where basically he's a stego-flower?? It's his "trap mode". I dunno, Japan.

Looks like this

I can't the flower to stay open though, it keeps snapping shut. Any ideas?

What part are you pulling on? You're supposed to pull on the red part that ends up behind the beast modes... "private parts" , until it catches, not on the three tail segments themselves.

Pffff

I tried doing both, actually. First I used the little red part spine thing to open it, but I couldn't get it into any clicking position. Then I noticed that the three parts can open up further, so I pulled on them a bit to see if they would click, and I get nothing. Then I pulled on them harder, with the same results. I don't want to break something due to ignorance though, so I stopped after that.

I'm gonna mess with it again tonight, since maybe I didn't press the spine far back enough or something.

It looks like yours is defective. Sabreback's tail stays open without any real force applied to the tab/spine.

I've had the BM Dinobots deco since I was a kid, an I wasn't aware that it could lock... I dot remember mine ever being able to, I'll have to take a look next time I pull it out of...whichever box it's in. XD

Oh! I finally got it! You have to push back on the trigger fin really far. I wouldn't have thought to push it back that far if I hadn't watched a video on youtube of someone doing it!

Yessss I have a flowersaur now
