The 3rd party section is on the other section people. Let's leave it at that. This figure is re-issue late 80's figure, so expect it to have all the articulation of a brick. That's the charm of the G1 era. If you want a Masterpiece fig with all the accuracy and articulation then by all means get a Masterpiece figure.

Now, for those with extra disposable income, go ahead and get one. Owning one already, this is a good opportunity for those who don't have him yet.

Make me shiver a bit on how much have changed when back in the the late 80's, TFs were built to such a size!. How I wish Tomy can also resurrect the Great shot mold and package him in a more affordable package.

I wonder if the companies even knew about this. I would blame the person that did the design because he/she did know. But I do agree with you and hope that the companies will acknowledge that the artwork is from Blitzwing.

Looks real nice to me but certainly don't need it. I also noticed quite a bit of dusty like shmutz in the green chrome. A considerable amount of it actually. That's quite the flaw in QC if you ask me.
Nevertheless.....he's nice indeed. I'll be happy with my G1 though.

Like shootin' cyber-ducks in a barrel...I'm just glad I still have mine from when I was a kid xD.

I do wonder, however, if this reissue uses stickers for the details (like those on his chest/shoulders), or tamopgraphs like some of the Encore did.

Yup. Here is the art piece in question: http://blitz-wing.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4cjc3l

Very nice art piece, and I wonder why Hasbro chose to use a silhouette version of it without the artist's permission (as he stated that they did not contact him since 2007). >:oP

This doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought it would... actually, really nice. A fantastic collector's piece, but as someone who already owns the original toy I can do without. Very, very nice though.

Hasbro is the culprit, based on the fact that they both promoted the item and added a sticker to the packaging that says they are tied to it. >:oP

But I do agree with you that he deserves credit for his art piece that is tied to the silhouette. :BOT:

Hmm, sorry this does nothing for me. I generally like G1 figures but I don't remember Six Shot at all. Non of its modes are particularly convincing.

With Sixshot I'm always surprised at the way the armored truck mode is transformed:
Image
I know this is the prefered and 'official' way the armored truck mode is (mis-)transformered in for Sixshot, but I always feel this mode looks better when the arms / wheels are moved al the way forward, losing the front-heavy look which to me just looks weird.
This is the way I transform the truck mode:

Oh snap... ironic that it's now TT/Hasbro appropriating other people's work. :HEADHURTS:

Genius! :APPLAUSE:

As for this release: Eugh, the teal chrome, so tacky! It's a bit too much. And judging by how my RiD Ultra Magnus' chrome is holding up, I have my doubts about whether colored chrome is ever a good idea.

I need to get some Reprolabels and another gun for my Original G1 Sixshot.

I can relate to this in some ways. Mostly because Sixshot did not have a major role in the U.S. portion of The Transformers. He held a brief role in what was supposed to be the Hasbro portion of The Transformers' fourth season ("The Rebirth").

However, he did have a bigger role in the Takara portion of The Transformers (Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers). Namely the fourth season (third TV series, following 2010) titled "The Headmasters." He had a larger role in that series, and I do recommend checking it out if you want to want to know more about the character.

Other than that, I was never particularly interested in this character (and a few others) for the same reason, prior to my "big" return to this franchise. And after that, I am hoping that Takara Tomy will do an Encore release of the character because this version does him no justice at all.

Agreed. As I said, he's in my PoL already. I have a complete G1 Sixshot already and he's in great shape (might actually be the reissue, I'm not sure and don't really care :P).

I had this figure as a kid and he was one of my favorites. His bot mode just screams 'Decepticon' to me and all his modes make him a fun figure to play around with, kinda like the Rubix Cube of Transformers.

Honestly? I wouldn't mind more of these premium G1 releases. If you are going to reissue the same old G1 figures over and over again instead of something that has never been reissued before (I am looking at you expensive hard to find G1 Japanese releases) you might as well do something flashy with them. This last release of Prediking was going in the right direction with the gold insted of the tired yellow. The only thing that would make it better would be domestic releases so as to not have to pay import prices.
