Asia exclusive Springer found in USA tru

Today I decided to go to Toys-r-us to maybe find a new figure to add to my collection. Much to my surprise I found the Asia exclusive Autobot Springer sitting on the shelf right there. I grab it super fast and wondered why it was here. I talked to one of the employees and he apparently was T.F. fan too. He said that they mistakenly sent the package of all of the transformers to this particular Toys-r-us. They had the whole set with one extra springer and he said that another collector came in and grabbed one of each and left. He was going to send them back but the collector snagged them and left one of them behind. I was lucky enough to walk up on it and get it. I am glad the collector was not greedy. This was a really lucky find considering I am in the U.S. I really was not feeling like spending $26 on ebay for him. All I have to do is get the rest of the wave and I am all set. I also picked up generations Warpath (a much needed figure) and to my surprise they also had 8 masterpiece thundercrackers. I could not get thundercracker today though. The employee agreed that he would not send the Springer back and he was cool enough to sell it to me for $13.99 and sell me the warpath for 13.99. So I saved money on each figure. I will be coming back to this tru for masterpiece thundercracker and maybe to see if they also send another package of exclusives by mistake. :CON: :BOT:

The formally asia exclusive Generation figures are being sold in the U.S. as TRU exclusives so they didn't get them by mistake. The deluxes, scouts and legends are already showing up so you should definately go back to see if they got more. Not sure if the voyagers have been spotted yet but they should be showing up also.

really? that's not what the man told me but that's awesome dude! thanks for telling me and yeah I will be going back in maybe a week or two. I'm pretty excited about this because I did not think I was going to get them. I cant wait for the first editions to start showing up at my t.r.u. especially the voyagers. :KREMZEEK:

Funny thing about these guys is they never ring up at the register. Picked up a Wheelie a couple of days ago and a CJ last night. They had to run to the computer for both items. Oh, and by the way, CJ looks awesome in my opinion.

yeah, these guys have been a headache to get rung out.
everyone i have grabbed; dlx, sct, or lgnd; has been an issue ringing it out.
my worry is that they used the sku for the other us release Generations for some of them instead of a new one to scan it so the distribution center is reading that they need more older wave generations in store and not the GDO stuff we are all looking for.

Yeah, I picked up the four Legends class guys, and only two of them scanned. (So my receipt reads like one of the figures, I bought three of.)

Anyway, the TRU in Springfield, MA seemed to have a good supply of the Asia Exclusive figures, as well as a surprisingly decent stock of other Generations figures. Quite a pleasent surprise, since most stores in the area recently have had pretty crap selections. I was only interested in the Legends ones, so that's all I picked up.

I did eye Wheelie for a bit, which is a surprisingly good use of the RTS Jazz mold, but I am more then content with my Legends Wheelie, so I decided this one was an expense I didn't need. (Springer looked okay... but I just can't get behind any Springer with only one alt mode. The day Hasbro releases a triple changer one, I'll be all over it. Until then, I'm happy I've got Warbot Defender.)

The Legends figures are all quite nice... And to get weapons with Legends class figures... Woo hoo! I do apreciate that the weapons were also designed to work with both modes, although in most cases the weapons are superfilous in vehicle mode. (Do we really need a truck with a big sword attached to the roof?) The exception is Thundercracker, where since that mold was designed to give the robot its null rays, the weapons while an apreciated addition to vehicle mode are somewhat unnecessary for robot mode.

And speaking of Thundercracker... Back when Legends Starscream was the only one, I could be content. But now that there is at least two of them... Hey, Hasbro! Where's Skywarp? And you know, the head transforms in a way where you could leave the nose up... so how about some wing retools to give us the coneheads? :P (We finally got them all as deluxes, so we need something new to whine for re: seekers, eh?)

The deluxe class ones I bought didn't scan either.

How much have you guys been paying? When I bought mine they had a tag on the shelf that said "Transformers China" with a price of $13.99 each (lower then regular deluxe figures) so that's how much they charged me after I showed them the tag. When I went back a few days later the tag was gone and had been replaced with one for regular deluxe sized figures with a price of $14.99.
