I finished Revelations and I walk away from Ezio's story feeling slightly dissapointed.
It is a fair bit shorter than 2 and Brotherhood were. The combat also leaves a lot to be desired as enemies are quicker to respond and there's a lag in the response time of your attacks.
The den battles were cool. I think they could use some more refinement though.
I would say that the weakest gimmick in the game was also one of the most heavily promoted. Bombcrafting is virtually useless and with only one mission that actually requires you to craft bombs, you'll find yourself never using this gimmick as standard hand-to-hand works best.
The hook blade delivered though. The combat and free running is actually quite good.
The maps are smaller in this game. While that's not neccessarily bad, I feel the game could have benefited from a few more memory sequences. as it seems like ubisoft kinda rushed the ending.
I enjoyed the game, but I found a lot lacking after Brotherhood. My main gripes are the lack of horse riding as well as the crossbow not being as good for stealth combat as it once was.
Here's hoping Assassins Creed 3 is epic.

Looks like we'll be getting a break from Ezio and Altier with this one, though I don't really know what else to say, accept its in a WAY more modern erra this time around

Merged for your viewing pleasure.
I'm the resident AC nut so I've been following this series pretty closely.
And yes, Revelations was designed to close the story of Altair and Ezio. AC3 opens up a new chapter.

His names Conner something. He's part Mohawk indian, has a hidden blade, and the wilderness area's 1.5 times larger than all of brotherhood. by itself. there will be hunting, skinnin, and pelting, like Red Dead. He witnessed his villiage destroyed as a child, and grew up hating evil. The whole assassins vs templar thing is still going on though.

I found AC Revelations kinda dissapointing after the epicness of Brotherhood. AC 3 has washed away that dissapointment.
I finished Memory sequence 5 and did the first Desmond mission. I'm quite happy to see more use of Desmond in this game. Hunting and killing animals has also proven to be a unique part of the game. Still a lot to explore and it will take time to make a better opinion, but so far I am happy with the game.
There are a few bugs however and I will admit that I'm not too happy with the notoriety system. I seem to be able to set off the guards no matter what I do. Even when I'm incognito.
