Assistance identifying a Non Tf transforming toy

I'm trying to find a picture and eventually buying a toy I had a long time ago.
Bear with me as I attempt to describe them in hopes someone might know what they are.
They were transforming figures, and came in a set of two.

One was a long red sports vehicle, resembles hot rod, but flat, no spoiler. and to turn to robot mode, his legs split and extend down and toes raise, the arms were added pieces just like an L shaped tetris with fists. The head is a middle windshiled that folds up.

The other was a dark blue motorcycle, that had silver guns for hands, and head rotates from the front tire, and his legs are really unique.

The catch about these two, is that they both merge together, the motorcylce splits his legs, which have hands in them (really cool fists), and the slots in the shoulders of the red car.

They were Japanese, Chinese, I think, I have no idea what asian language. But they were their own series, and there were others when I bought them, but hopefully if I know these then I can track the rest.

But I really want to see their picture agian.

Time era is probably mid 90s, the toy itself maybe 80s.

If any one has an idea , please let me know, now I'm just going through a plethora of Google images and key words. All Tf popping up (which is cool, but I wanna know those )

Thanks
Bud Maloney

P.s. When I have time I might reply with a pic of a rough sketch

While I'm not massively familiar with the line, is there any chance they were Roadbots?

He said they were from the 90-80's so I doubt. Roadbots are only 5-6 years old.

I...have a very strange memory. This thread perplexed me, and it just kinda went into some file in the back of my head. And today in some unrelated searching, I think I found the original poster's query:

No out of box pics, but my interest has been piqued and the mystery so long in my mind, I must know, what IS IT! This specimen is a KO obviously, is it based on something from some other line? Is this an original creation?

OMG, DUKE OF LUNS YOU REALLY FOUND IT!
I've been searching for years. This was my favorite toy. Thank you for finding and thank you for remembering about this thread.

See they had such cool designs. An awesome set. They even combined in vehicle form I totally forgot. I had G1's at the time passed down to me, but nothing compared to the awesomeness of these figures.

I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

You have no idea how happy you've made me. Almost all my figures were given away and these guys were one of them.

Now the mystery deepens. We must track the show, the mold, the product. They're a hidden gem.
The other set had the same box, but had 2 planes combining together. I just remember white planes and green. Jojo? Italian flag? maybe they were Italian toys. They must've been designed by a Japanese guy, probably same guy that did power zords. I guess my next trip is to Italy, I always wanted to go there.

lol imagine if we find that the company owner was murdered and we enter into a mystery movie. Or even better they're alien or were sentient. Ok ok , I'm really excited about this I'll calm down.....

So wanna go to Italy?

I'm glad I found it too, cause I enjoy finding hidden gems :D . And the vehicle modes combine as well? Awesome!

And combining planes? That sounds even cooler. These are probably from some forgotten mech show.

We have some new developments folks. So I contacted the site http://www.collectiondx.com/, the guys who were hosting the picture you posted Duke. Well they responded and found this link. The guy told me that it's called "Ceed Commander by HERO"

It looks like the Italian Jolo picture is a knock off of these guys! Damn that combined vehicle form looks cool

Now if someone knows Japanese I'd need to find keywords that would help me track this down and buy it. I guess we're going to Japan not Italy then.
