first columbine and now Vtech? seriously the schools need to be more safer. (iam a senior high school) in my school they have already caught 6 people in total this year having possesion of a gun with them or in their car. this really has to stop. does this mean that they will pass a law were teachers can now carry guns in school.

Holy crap, that's terrible! This is the first I've heard about it and I'm at school. No doubt it'll be on the news later today!

My prayers to all the friends and families of the dead.

Thanks for posting this on the front page Ryan.
Something memorable here.

Just heard some suprising news on MSNBC. There may be two shooters. MSNBC reported a few minutes ago that the shooting in the dormatory may involve a different shooter then the one in the classroom. According to the show I'm watching (Countdown), the police won't confirm that only one shooter was involved. That could explain two different caliber guns being involved.

Oh lord I hope not.

I've known to many teachers who are either too incompetent or too emotional to be trusted with a gun.

Well, that depends on your definition of "reason".

Wolverines and pitbulls both kill just to kill, because it's what they do. Is that a reason? Can't be worse of a reason than what this guy had at least.

Male lions will kill the cubs of other males just so the females will enter heat sooner, and lions in general will kill Cheetah cubs to reduce future competition. Is that a better reason?

And don't Orcas occasionally kill for entertainment? Even if they're not hungry?

Don't confuse the simple savagery of the animal kingdom for nobility. The worst parts of human nature are rooted in the legacy we brought with us from the jungle.

That is pretty grim proof that there are angry, sad, sick people out there who would take it out on what could be the object of their hatred and disillusionment.

Perhaps that killer used to attend that college, didn't do well in his life, and decided to come back and end it all, taking a few innocent young students with him. Students who did better in school or would enjoy a much better life than he ever would.

This may never end. 8-|

It's really sad that the first thing I did today was turn on (local ABC affiliate) channel 15 in my room and they went from the soap that was on to this. My heart goes out to everyone effected by whatever's going on at Virginia Tech.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

How old is he again shouldn't he be dead seriously the only reason he is still alive is his perverse hatred for everyone and thing but his body died years ago. The whole f*cking WBC wants to send america back at least 400 years if not more. It's not right to wish bad things on people but i wish Phelps was burned at the stake and his entire church deported to the middle east.

But there is always going to be a scapegoat I was watching one news channel where they took a case profiler who had some good points about the blames of shootings being on irresponsible parents and gun shops and unarmed law enforcement. But they had some bad points Putting the blame on media and porn etc. Apparently they cant grasp that these things were predominant throughout history and even if you take them away it swill still never curb the violence. They also say when they were kids they never heard of something so horrific, which is a lie we've had manslaughter, murder, prejudice throughout American history, it was just back then tv was limited so wholesale slaughter never really got alot of coverage. It's retarded to say this generation was bad when you've got killers and murderers like the Son of Sam and Zodiac Killer who were more methodic and sadistic than this incident.

Well, if only 100 people a year die on a college campus, then statisticly, you're still safer at school than at home.

True but it seems like if you include school and college shootings together the number seems to be up over the past 10 years or so. Though it may not actually be, with the coverage of media it feels that way.

This year alone my school has gone on lock down 10 times. Lockdown only occurs if there is beleived to be a dangerous person on or close to the school or there is a report that there is a student with a weapon. So far we have been lucky and nothing has happened.

Ugh. It was just pointed out to me that ebay is already deluged with VA-Tech massacre memorabilia and domain names.

That's just... ugh. Disappointing. Not surprising, but disappointing.

My condolences go out to the victims of this tragedy. And may the gunman burn in hell. It makes me sick to hear things like this, but it's even worse when a sick ****' coward passes judgement on all these people and then take the weak, easy way out. That waste of space shoulda just offed himself right away.

Oh, and I listen to talk radio here at work. And, yeah, all the politcial hacks are all over this. It's equally disgusting.

It's so sad, things as horriable like this happen all over the world, but as ugly humanity can be, it's has it beauty too. With hope and time to heal, we can overcome the bad. My deepest condolences to all of them.
