Cliffjumper wrote:"Uh, no. Optimus was shouting about Megatron sending his followers to finish 'im off er sumthing. And I THINK I remember a pink Cassettebot playing some song and Optimus saying the Decepticons were mocking him with it. Nah. He just went nuts. Plain and simple."

Alpha Bravo slunk backwards, lowering his head in shame. All he did was propose something which could've been a possibility, but he didn't know enough information from the group that had arrived to make a full conclusion. He'd just made one based on what he got. Still, a feeling of guilt started to form inside of him. He felt humiliated and dumb. All he was told was that Optimus started attacking.

Hot Rod wrote:“These are crazy times we’re in. But, Cliffjumper’s right. I don’t think their minds were switched. Prime seemed to think he was fighting Decepticons. And, apparently, when Smokescreen finally shot him with a tranquilizer dart, Optimus remembered everyone before falling unconscious. It was very strange to say the least. Hopefully, Ratchet will be able to figure out what caused Prime’s delusions and fix him so he won’t try to hurt anyone again.”

"I'm really sorry for... my bad mistake. I didn't know about that part... about him calling out for Decepticons. I mean... maybe their visions were swapped in a sense, not physically, until Optimus Prime was tranquillised. Maybe his senses were... blocked, obscured by something... or someone. Perhaps he saw what... what... what..." Alpha trailed off. He didn't want to make himself look more like an idiot. Once was already enough. Twice would be devastating.

Trailblazer wrote:"Ha! That's stupid! Why would you ever think of that?"

Yet once again, Alpha took a hit to the spark. It felt hard. Not one but two 'bots had called him out for his unknowing. It felt awful. His insecurity began to appear heavily on his face, so he pulled up his visor and faceplate again. Powerglide put an arm around his fellow flier's shoulder, noticing his visible stress, and said, "It's alright Bravo. I mean, neither of us knew. It's alright."

Groundbomber wrote:"Leave him alone. Both of you."

A surprising move to Alpha, the larger femme stepped up to face the two 'bots. "'Bomber.... there's really no need... it's okay..." The gray and yellow 'bot backed down, but the crimson one still had something to say.

Cliffjumper wrote:"What, are you his conjunx endura all of a sudden, plane lady?"

Every single siren within Alpha went off. He honestly couldn't bear to stand in here anymore, and just wanted to go straight to the Guardian. He walked over to the control panel and quietly dialled himself the bounce sequence. He sent a private comm to Powerglide, in fear of talking out loud.

>>"Glide, I just want to get out of here right now. I can't stand this."<<
>>"Hang in there, dude. We'll be out of this mess soon! Don't worry, we'll go shoot up some 'Cons afterward and you'll be back to normal in no time!"<<

Groundbomber was prepared to let that slide. After all, Cliffjumper's comment was primarily to her and it didn't bother her all that much. Then she saw Bravo's reaction.

Alpha Bravo wrote:"'Bomber.... there's really no need... it's okay..."

Her temper flared. It was not okay. No one had the right to treat their fellow soldiers like that. No one. There was no reason for it.

Groundbomber excused her from Skids momentarily. She placed herself directly in Cliffjumper's path and grabbed is arm, digging her digits into his armor.

She lowered her voice just loud enough for Cliffjumper to hear it. "I might be able to rip your arm off. Or I might not be able to. Either way, it won't be pretty for you. Don't you dare do that again to anyone of my friends, or your Conjunx won't be able go recognize you. And before you go all gung ho with that glass gas you have, remember that I have no problem going to the brig, but you won't be able to make it to whatever mission you have."

With that, she released him and returned to her previous position.

Cliffjumper wasn't the type to just let things slide. He wasn't afraid of anything. The fact the plane 'lady' grabbed his arm at all was insulting. Much more, what she said. Cliffjumper was a little demon and he knew it. No being in the universe who he didn't know would ever embarrass him. EVER.

"One problem, Groundbomber," said Cliffjumper, "I'll kill you FIRST!"

Wheeljack wrote:“Perceptor and I are leading a mission down to Earth, Antarctica to be precise. A rather large deposit of Ore-13 was detected deep underneath the ice not far from the south pole. We’re going to retrieve as much of it as possible for study and possible use once it’s been determined to be safe for consumption, of course. You’re all welcome to come along if you like. We can use all the help we can get."

Snow Cat quickly acsessed the files on "Antarctica". Hmmm... cold... barren... largely unknown past that point. The explorer grinned. This was an opportunity of lifetimes for the Minibot. He heard Wheeljack's offer to go ahead aboard and ran forward to the shuttle, excitement filling him.

Twin Twist wrote:"He don't look like much. Not gonna help in battle."

Well, no duh, idiot. Snow Cat decided to ignore the Jumpstarter, as well as his brother. There was no reason to let two brutes wreck his day. Heh. Even if they were Wreckers.

Topspin grinned and looked at his twin. "Nah, a 'Con would smush him in seconds." He laughed a little. "Though, you know what they say, bro. 'Big things come in little packages.' Maybe pipsqueak will be of some use."

He looked up at the open shuttle and grabbed his brother's arm, beginning to pull him toward the inside. "C'mon, though. You can pick on the nerds and pipsqueaks in here."

The harsh words slung Alpha Bravo’s way were a bit much in Skid’s opinion, especially regarding the fact that they lacked all the necessary facts to draw that conclusion. “Actually, Alpha Bravo’s theory was sound given the facts presented at the time. There’s no need to ridicule him, Cliffjumper.” Only, the situation escalated further as Groundbomber excused herself to deal with him.

Skids winced as Groundbomber threatened him. This was getting out of hand. As she turned to leave he knew that wouldn’t be the end of it. He jumped out between the pair, sending Cliffjumper a hard stare.

“Stop it! Stop it both of you! Cliffjumper, are you listening to yourself? I know the news about Optimus has got everyone on edge, but we can’t be at each other’s throats! We can’t! We have to be better than that! We have to pull together now more than ever. Alright?! What would Optimus say if he saw you two now? Just…stop.”

Though Groundbomber was done with Cliffjumper, he didn't seem to be done with her.

Cliffjumper wrote:"I'll kill you FIRST!"

Groundbomber sighed. She honestly didn't want to fight him. He was much smaller than she, so there was no honor in it, and besides, he simply wasn't worth it. At least for insulting (or what he thought was insulting) to her.

Reluctantly, she turned around. Before she could say something, Skids thankfully intervened.

His words brought 'Bomber back into reality. She quickly realized the fool that she made of herself. Her strong and dignified composure dropped. Her head lowered and looked at those present, offering a soft, "I'm sorry."

Cliffjumper's head lowered as Skids spoke. Now he was more embarrassed, but it was him who had done it this time. He was better than that. What was he thinking?

"I'm... I'm sorry too," said Cliffjumper reluctantly, "I was being stupid."

Cliffjumper walked past the others towards the corridors. "Come on 'Roddy and friends. We should get goin'."

Alpha dialled up the bounce chamber. Before exiting, he looked back at Groundbomber. He quickly turned back to the console and paused. He opened up his comm-link again.

>>"I'm sorry, 'Bomber."<<

The red flier made his way over to his aerial squadmate. "Let's go, Alpha."

Within a klik, in a bright white flash, both of the fliers were gone.

Hangar Bay

The space 'bot stumbled into the hangar Cosmos spotted some people filing up into a shuttle. That's odd, what were they there for? A whole lot of them - maybe they were headed off somewhere? It'd be fun to follow them along. He figured it was about time to head outside into space anyway, for his routine reconnaissance. It wouldn't hurt to take a detour... would it? Cosmos shifted himself to the side, waiting for the shuttle to lift off from the hangar bay. Let's see where this goes.

Kup was having more than a bit of a hard time with everything that was being told to him about the goings-on with Optimus Prime over on the Ark-22. He had just been over there himself not long before, Optimus seemed fine. How in the frag had it all devolved into what they were talkin' about?

From his peripheral auditory, he also took in the theories that were being bandied about and they all seemed reasonably plausible to him. After all, he was no scientist. It wasn't up to him to figure out "why", but he'd sure like to know, just like the rest of 'em.

"Yeah, yeah, sure," Kup said, stepping a little further out of the way so that Hot Rod the scientists and their support team could do what they needed to do while he still attempted to process everything that was going on up here on the ships.

“Yeah, and Ratchet said that some dark energy came out of Optimus before it happened and him saying something about being a harbinger. Not a great sign of things to come with our fearless leader,” Swerve continued from before.

Kup turned back to the Metallurgist. Swerve mentioned something that Ratchet had seen. Something about some kind of dark energy coming from Optimus during the time he was attacking the others. That sprung Kup's mind right back to the original reason he had been going to find him in the first place, but before he could say anything, the sounds of raised voices and flaring tensions overrode everything else.

And then almost as fast as it had begun, before even Kup could throw some cold water on the flaring tempers, the 'Bots in the room were listening to reason. Kup had mediated more than a few angry shouting matches in his day, he'd even been in a few himself, but he was glad that this one managed to solve itself without him. He looked back at Swerve.

"Yeah. This!" Kup said, handing the piece of black-scarred metal over to Swerve. "You said Ratchet saw some sort of dark energy junk come outta Optimus, right? Well, I saw the same thing with my own two optics, only with Megatron. And that right there is part of the wall it hit. You can clearly see the difference between the parts where I cut it away with my torch 'n the marks where it got hit by that black energy. Don't s'pose you have any idea what the hell it is, do ya?"

"Yeah, yeah, sure,” Kup replied before moving on to other matters. Hot Rod gave the old timer a respectful nod before heading towards the door. However, the cavalier was stopped in his tracks at the sound of Cliffjumper and a femme called Groundbomber getting into a heated argument. Not so nice words were exchanged and things almost got violent. Hot Rod was about to intervene when Skids did so for him. Cliff and Groundbomber then calmed down and both apologized for the outburst.

“All righty, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the hangar, shall we?” Hot Rod said with a wide smile as he exited the chamber and headed down to the hangar with Trailblazer, Blurr and Cliffjumper in tow.

Hangar Bay

“Bah! Mining?! Why would we do that? Wait. Ore-13? You mean the stuff that makes us normal bots as powerful as Phase-Sixers?” Twin Twist asked.

Wheeljack looked over at Perceptor before returning his gaze to the Jumpstarter. “Well, Twin Twist, I don’t know if it’ll make us as strong as a phase sixer, but it could give a normal mech a bit of a power boost for sure. That is, if we can refine it and stabilize it. Otherwise, it would be ill advised to ingest the ore. You would surely explode from the uncontrolled power surge. And nobody wants that now, do they? Heh.”

After a brief exchange between the two Jumpstarters, Topspin pulled his brother towards the shuttle craft as the minibot, Snow Cat, began looking up data regarding Antarctica. A few astrosecond passed before the doors to the hangar opened again. This time, Hot Rod entered and he was not alone.

“Jackie! Percy!” Hot Rod exclaimed with his arms opened wide as he walked towards the duo. “Thanks for inviting me on this mission, guys. I was going a bit stir crazy. Hopefully, this will keep my mind off recent events.”

“That was the idea, Roddy,” Wheeljack responded, patting the cavalier on the shoulder. “So, um, I see you brought some friends with you.” The mechanical engineer nodded towards Trailblazer, Blurr and Cliffjumper.

“Ah, yeah, they followed me from the Guardian,” Hot Rod replied as he quickly looked back at his little entourage before fixating his optics on Wheeljack once more. “Is it okay for them to come along? I’m sure they can be helpful.”

“Fine with me. The more hands we have the more Ore-13 we can carry once it’s mined out of the ice,” Wheeljack stated with a smile. “Hop on board. We should be leaving within the breem.” The engineer motioned towards the shuttle before glancing back at the sniper/scientist. “Well, Perceptor, it looks like we have our team, as long as you’re okay with the extra mech power. I’m gonna head into the shuttle and get her warmed up and ready for departure. See you inside.”

And with that said, Wheeljack ascended the entrance ramp into the shuttle and quickly took a seat in the pilot’s chair. The mad scientist flipped a few switches on the control console and the shuttle’s engines hummed to life. Jackie then began checking all of the gauges to ensure everything was operating at optimal capacity.

Hot Rod, meanwhile, began walking towards the shuttle's ramp when he noticed a certain green saucer-bot standing not far away. "Hey, Cosmos, whatcha doing over there? You coming along, too?"

“Uh, coming along for what exactly? I was just about to head out on my usual routine - but if there's anything I can do to help, that would be nice too!” Cosmos replied as he turned to face the cavalier.

Hot Rod stopped at the foot of the shuttle’s entrance ramp and cast a broad smile at the green saucer-bot. “Well, Cosmos, we’re heading down planet-side to a place called Antarctica to mine an Ore-13 deposit that Percy over here detected recently.” The flame-ladened mech shot a thumb towards the scientist/sniper before continuing.

“Maybe you could fly in a low Earth orbit over Antarctica and scan the area in question to help us keep an optic out for any potential human intrusion. From what I know about this ice-covered continent, the humans have scientists stationed sporadically around doing all kinds of research. It's possible that if we detected the energy readings of the Ore-13 then someone else might have, too.”

The Autobot cavalier then glanced over to Perceptor. “Wouldn't you agree, Percy?"

In addition to being extremely embarrassed, Groundbomber was tired of standing around doing nothing.

Alpha Bravo wrote:>>"I'm sorry 'Bomber."<<

She didn't have a chance to respond before Alpha Bravo and Powerglide took their leave. Groundbomber decided to take a cue from Streetwise and her fellow fliers. Stepping up on the pad, the commando wordlessly disappeared in a beam of light.

While Hot Rod was talking to the Jumpstarter, scientists, and Cosmos, Trailblazer nudged Cliffjumper. "Hey, I betcha coulda taken that mouthy femme. She didn't look all that tough."

He laughed, a laugh cut short by the realization that they were going somewhere cold. Really, really cold. He frowned.

Twin Twist looked disappointed at Wheeljack's explanation of what Ore-13 was. He didn't have time to comment as his twin dragged him into the shuttle. "Hey, you idiot! I was tryin' to have a conversation here!"

Cliffjumper snorted at the thought Trailblazer constructed. Would've made a good show, and a pretty hilarious one at that.

"HA, probably. She thinks her size outweighs her psycho femme issues," laughed Cliffjumper in response, "And probably the biggest danger for me would be feeling bad I made her cry, hehe."

”Wouldn’t you agree, Percy?”

Preceptor was surprised at the size of the crew that showed up, many of which were members he had not been at all listed on his projected roster. Despite the dramatic increase in size, each member did bring something that would benefit the operation.

“I see no issue with it. How does that old saying go? ‘The more the merrier?’ Yes I do believe that’s it.” Tucking his data pad away, the scientist-turned-sniper glanced over the rest of the summoned mechs and extended an arm out towards the shuttle.

“Well if that’s everything and everyone, I believe we are set to go if we want to begin boarding the shuttle.”

Railway felt a slight bit of discomfort as he entered through the shuttle’s threshold. His last memory before becoming unconscious following the fight with the Fallen being how he was stuck in tight quarters, only to find himself back in a similar situation.

Secure Holding Cell

There was so much happening all at once. Mechs here and there, coming and going, in and out. Chromedome was having a hard enough time focusing on the fact that Rewind was alright that he practically zoned out on all discussion that had transpired.

”Weren’t you working on the gestalt project?”

Rewind’s inquiry snapped Chromedome back into reality. The mnemosurgeon glanced down and saw his conjunx endure looking back up at him.

“Yeah... Yeah I was.” He finally responded, his hand instinctively finding Rewind’s and clasping it, interlocking his actuators with the archivist’s. “Although I’m sure at this point I can’t offer much besides my personal input. I sent Ironfist the projected data he would need to complete the construction portion of the project.” He paused for a moment to let his words sink in for a bit. “I probably should go oversee the whole ordeal. I trust ‘Fist enough to make it work, but he has a tendency to...” Chromedome spun his hand in the air as if he was trying to grab the word he was looking for in front of him, “get carried away...”

Main Engineering Deck

First-Aid’s words comforted Silverbolt slightly as he eased his circuits and slowly began to offline his systems. He still had no idea what was about to happen, or what entirely he signed himself up for, but if this is what was needed from him right now to help their effort in the war, then he might have to just swallow those fears and hope for the best.

“Alright, looks like he’s powering down.” Ironfist noted as he moved several pieces of equipment around the Aerialbot commander’s slab. He turned his head towards the other laid out slabs filled with the rest of the Aerialbots, “The rest of you should probably follow suit. Power down now and it’ll help make this process go a little smoother.” By Impactor’s hook, he really has his work cut out for him here.

With Silverbolt fully powered down now, Ironfist began to lift away at some of the paneling that ran along ‘Bolt’s torso. Sliding his equipment closer to the slab, the weapons engineer flickered on his holopad. Schematics illuminated above the cart and Ironfist immediately began the delicate process of implementing and rearranging the various additions needed for the project.

“Silverbolt’s upgrades are probably the most extensive, First-Aid. Why don’t we tackle his components together like Rack’n’Ruin first?”

“Hrm…” Swerve mumbled, taking the sample and turning it over in his hands a few times. “Well, it’s not charred. Whatever this black gunk is, it’s fused with the metal. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had some weird properties. I’d need to examine it in my lab to give you a real analysis. But uh…It’s weird, and I’ve never seen anything like it before. That suffice?”

Swerve looked to Kup, holding the piece of metal pinched between two fingers. If it had something to do with Megatron, he wanted as little to do with it as possible.

For his part, Skids stayed long enough to hear Swerve’s preliminary analysis. That didn’t seem good. He hadn’t seen it before. After the scene with Alpha Bravo and Groundbomber, his worry for them accrued enough for him to decide to leave for the moment. Stepping up on the pad, he too disappeared in a flash of light.

Blurr was already on the shuttle waiting for everyone else impatiently. He bounced his knee idly. Then both. Then drummed his fingers. It was a relief when Railway finally boarded the ship. He perked up a little and looked to the bulky former.

“Areweheadedoutnow?”

Ore-13. Apparently, it was like super charged energon. He wondered if it had ill effects on the body. Kinda like circuit speeders or something similar. He hoped not. If it did, then it wasn’t worth using in the long term when it would burn their systems out. Still, if Wheeljack and Percy were so interested, it had to be worth their time to collect at least. Depriving the cons of it was never a bad idea.

“I probably should go oversee the whole ordeal. I trust ‘Fist enough to make it work, but he has a tendency to...” Chromedome spun his hand in the air as if he was trying to grab the word he was looking for in front of him, “get carried away...”

Rewind gave Chromedome’s hand a squeeze and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “Well, we could always go stargazing. We haven’t done that in a while, but if you’re that worried about Ironfist, I’ll tag along too. Not much I can do, but at least I can document the first Autobot gestalt. That’s pretty big.”

Moving toward the door and stepping out into the corridor proper, Rewind rubbed his neck idly and nodded. It would be best if they kept on moving forward, whatever that meant. Domey could probably use a break, but Rewind wouldn’t force him unless he looked particularly strained.

Cosmos prepared himself for the trip down to the mud ball. Well, not exactly the mud ball but in its atmosphere at least. The green and yellow 'bot let out a sigh. If only he could be with the rest of them. But, what needed to be done had to be done.

He opened up a comm to the inside of the shuttle. >>"Hey, I'll follow behind the shuttle since I doubt you'll open it mid-air."<<

Twin Twist wrote:"Hey, you idiot! I was tryin' to have a conversation here!"

Laughing, Topspin ignored his brother's pleas. He just wanted to get down there to Earth and get to moving. Twin Twist could waste time chatting up a storm in the shuttle, after all.

Topspin let Twin Twist go as soon as they got into the shuttle. He quickly found a place to sit. Decidedly bored again, he pulled out his weapons to inspect them.

Cosmos wrote:>>"Hey, I'll follow behind the shuttle since I doubt you'll open it mid-air."<<

Topspin grinned and opened his comm. "Hey, little green dude. we could make it interestin' for ya by paratrooping ourselves down there."

Snow Cat walked onto the shuttle, optics still glued to his screen. He took a seat, not really paying attention to anyone that was around him.

The information that the Minibot could dig up showed that the region was sparse in regard to human settlement. The topsoil was covered in layers of rock hard ice. And the place was... cold. Bitterly so. Snow Cat's systems were already adapted to the harsher climate. He'd encountered such places before. Everyone else, though...

He looked up. "Has anyone taken the extreme chill factor into effect yet? Research shows this place is supposedly the coldest environment on Earth."

Kup nodded absently. If whatever they were looking at was a mystery to the Autobots' primary--and maybe only?--metallurgist, that was good enough for Kup to explain the bizarre circumstances of how even a mech like Megatron could so cleanly escape his otherwise secured environment. But what had given him those abilities? Those answers were going to have to be hunted for more thoroughly.

"Suffices fer me, Swerve. Once ya find out whatever ya can about it, forward it to the command types. They'll wanna be the first to know. As fer me, I'm slackin' already. Whatever all happened over there on the Guardian, it's clear that it's in more risk of a security event than the Ark. So I best be gettin'. 'Til all are one, eh? Heh."

Kup then walked over to the bounce chamber, adjusted the transfer coordinates and soon after disappeared in a customary flash of white light.

Skydive looked over at Silverbolt laying on the slab. His commander had shut down his systems. He had resolved like the rest of his team to go through with this project but still felt uneasy with it. For most part he trusted the ones who are going to work on them but still the idea of possibly being in the processors of his fellow Aerialbots freaked him out a little. One good thing that could come out of it is a better understanding of each other but at the same time do they really want to be that intimate with each other. Maybe they will still be individuals and only work together on a more literal sense when they are joined.

"I hope I'm not going to interrupt what you are doing to Silverbolt but will we wake up joined together or will we be separate still? It would make sense to test out this new ability asap but preferably at our choosing."

Skydive then took what the humans would call a huge breath in order to relax. Once he gave First Aid and Ironfist time to respond, he slowly shut his own systems down to wait for his own operation.

Cosmos wrote:"Ore-13? Hey, isn't that stuff really rare?”

“I think so, Cosmos,” Hot Rod replied with a slight shrug. “You’d have to ask Percy and Jackie for more specifics though.”

Cosmos wrote:“I can do that! As long as the others are okay with it. I'll just go and prepare myself anyhow.”

“Excellent! I’m fine with it and I’m sure everyone else is, too. Do what you gotta do,” the Autobot cavalier smiled widely and gave the green and yellow saucer-bot a thumbs up. Hot Rod then entered the shuttle craft as the other team members did the same. He quickly found a place to sit in the passenger cabin which happened to be right next to a mech named Snow Cat.

Snow Cat wrote:"Has anyone taken the extreme chill factor into effect yet? Research shows this place is supposedly the coldest environment on Earth."

Hot Rod glanced over at the scout/explorer. “That’s a good point.” The flame-covered mech then called out towards the front of the shuttle. “Hey, Jackie, did you or Percy figure out how we’re all not going to freeze to death down there? I mean I know we’re Cybertronian and all, but I’m pretty sure we can only take so much cold before our circuits freeze up.”

Having finished checking all of the gauges and readouts, Wheeljack turned around in the pilot’s chair and looked back into the passenger cabin. “Oh! Yes! I completely forgot. I have just the thing!” The mad scientist then made his way back to where everyone else was seated in the shuttle. The mechanical engineer quickly retrieved his toolkit from a small storage locker and placed it on the floor. Kneeling down, Wheeljack opened his toolkit and pulled out about a dozen small flat circular devices. He then began handing them out to everyone on board.

“These thermal shields should do the trick,” the engineer stated as he handed one to Hot Rod before moving on to the next mech.

“Thermal shields?” Hot Rod asked, studying the device carefully. “Another one of your inventions I take it?”

“Indeed it is,” Wheeljack responded as he finished handing out the tiny devices. “Thankfully, I brought enough considering our team is a bit bigger than I originally anticipated. Heh. Anyway, all everyone has to do is attach the thermal shields to your chest plates and push the little button on the front. Once activated it will generate a force shield that will surround and conform perfectly to your framework almost like a second skin. It will protect you from the harsh, subzero temperatures that we will encounter down there. You’ll even be able to transform while wearing them without a problem. Be mindful, though, these thermal shields will not protect you from weapons fire, but hopefully we won’t encounter anything like that. Heh. So, everyone understand?”

“I think we got it, Jackie,” Hot Rod responded as he attached the small device to his chest plate. After pushing the button, the cavalier’s body was surrounded by the invisible thermal shield that rested just against his metallic skin like a body glove. “I can’t even feel it.”

“That’s the idea,” Wheeljack added. “It’s supposed to protect you without getting in the way. Neat, right?”

“Yeah, neat,” Hot Rod said before glancing back over to Snow Cat. “Well, I hope that alleviates your fears. By the way, I don’t think we’ve met before. I’m Hot Rod. And you are…?”

With the thermal shields handed out to everyone and Perceptor now on board with the rest of the team, Wheeljack packed away his toolkit and returned to the pilot’s chair. After pushing a few more buttons, the entrance ramp withdrew and the hatch slid shut. Wheeljack then took the controls with both hands. “Okay, everybody, strap in back there. We’re leaving in 3…2….1….”

The shuttle then rose off the deck of the hangar bay and gently glided out into the blackness of space. Making a right hand turn once they were out of the Ark-22, the mad scientist guided the craft down towards the Southern Hemisphere of Sol-3.

((OOC: Everyone on, or following, the shuttle can start posting in the Antarctica thread once I have it up.))

First-Aid meandered around the make-shift tables the Aerialbots were propped up on, pulling a small cart of various technical devices and tools Ironfist had compiled together for the project. Ironfist had suggested tackling Silverbolt’s portions together since the needed tech was more extensive for this level of a project. The red and white Autobot nodded reassuringly as he looked over the Aerialbot Commander’s paneling.

“So I suppose it would make a lot of sense to remove some of these spare parts compartments in order to facilitate more room for the upgrades.” The medic commented without taking his optical visor away from his work. He began to pull open some of the paneling that protected Silverbolt’s spare parts compartments. The protectobot’s red actuators begin to pull out spare couplings and bolts and set them on the cart beside him. If they were lucky, maybe they could even turn around and utilize these excess parts in the operation, make use of the resources available. With the storage area now cleared out, First-Aid picked up a plasma cutter and began to trim at some of the excess metal of the frame. The components Ironfist and the rest of the Superior Titan team had designed were sizable, but not impossible to integrate. They just to be careful...

Chromedome felt Rewind’s hand tightened within his grip while suggesting going stargazing again. He was right, it has certainly been awhile since the two of them had gone and done that and it certainly helped both of them clear their minds some.

“Stargazing would be nice...” The mnemosurgeon pondered, bringing his free hand up to his chin in a similar manner that Rewind had just done, “But... The first Autobot combiner is something for the history books. Wouldn’t you like to say you were there to witness it in person instead of through archival footage?”

Despite just saying that and knowing exactly who he was talking to here, he still asked a question he already knew the answer to.
