Good morning! Here's what was on my desk at the time!

Dead End takes up being a car show floor model to relieve his boredom, and meets a newly hired model who's to be partner at the shows. She dumped Dave Grohl shortly after meeting Dead End.

Was taking pictures for a review and felt that I needed something else for the pictures. I have a shelf of Gorgons behind me! Perfect, he's a Viper with a snake! And they colour match close enough. Then I tried to rationalize why there's a snake lady in the pictures.

Took a quick pic of the toys I'll be taking to college in about ten months.

I like that College Crew, Sigma. Beware of drunk friends wanting to transform them though.....

Oh, trust me, they'll be behind lock and key. Don't plan to drink myself even after I'm of age, so don't gotta worry about that either.

I remember having G1 Shrapnel and Snaptrap with me at Oregon State -- I had obtained them thanks to this new site at the time, called eBay.

I think my CDs got picked over frequently by female friends -- good thing they didn't want to fiddle with my TFs or model Gundams. Same thing with guys and my small gaming and DVD/VHS selection.

But with TFs back in the mainstream, more may be curious about DEM TFs! I'm excited for ya - best of luck!

Picked up MP-38 in my Japan trip. Glad I did as the figure is bombs. Can't wait for Dinobot.

I don't normally go for Transformers that don't transform. In the 90's or late 80's there was a toyline that Hasbro came out with called "Action Masters" Instead of transforming, these transformers had extra articulation and came with weapons or vehicles that transformed. It didn't sell well at all, but now there are some collectors who would give their left testicles for one. Yes I want some of them too, but I'd settle for giving my left toe big toe instead, I'm not nuts.

BUT ANYWAY

This past Saturday I accompanied a friend to the local shops for some pre-dungeons and dragons meandering. I was just along for the ride, but my wandering eye caught a familiar combination of blue and red. Sure enough, there it was, an Optimus Prime fidget cube. Or "Fidget Its" as the product is called.

I had no idea this sort of thing existed. It's not exactly a high quality item, but it's an interesting little bauble to put on my desk and play with while I watch videos or wait for the microwave to go *ding*.

Its got a ratcheted spinner on it's right arm, its left arm is a clicky switch, its got a big button on it's head, and rubbery ones on its face, along with three dials on its back. It makes a lot of clicking sounds, which are louder than I'd expect, but satisfying to hear.

While I don't really collect things like this, I still enjoy it, and it's gonna be on or around my desk for a good while, and it's the right size to be a toy in one of my toys' collection! Mind you I don't have tiny shelves for my toys to put their things on. I suppose I could cut up some cardboard boxes.

I think I might need an out doors hobby or something.

My favorite depictions of Starscream are when he's a snivelling underling to Megatron. Despite the issues, Transformers Prime Starscream is my favorite version of the character. Like a robot Mr. Burns! Second would be the movie version of Starscream! Pretty close to the same personality, except with small bursts of competency! Animated Starscream is a distant third. My most hated is every version of Starscream from an anime. I don't need Starscream to be whatever the hell THAT was.

But I digress.

Starscream's Dark of The Moon figure is a great example of how a transformer could have good vehicle AND robot mode! The articulation is good, the paint is near perfect (virtually nothing on the back, grrr), and the details are pretty spot-on. I can manage to get him in all the promotional art poses, so that makes me happy. I wish there was a way to get him to hold his double-ended steak knife though, but strapping it to his arm is fine enough.

Now that I've reminded myself of that terrible Armada/Energon/Cybertron version of Starscream, I'm going to go watch Hoist Goes Hollywood. Megatron slaps him for absolutely no reason, heh heh.
