I remember Beverly Hills 90210. There was a lot of press about Shannen Doherty's antics on and off the set. There was even an "I Hate Brenda" book.

I am not Lewis Louvhaug, just a fan of his.

He's an Internet personality who hosts the webshow Atop the Fourth Wall as the main character Linkara. Why, he was even a guest on one of the Twincast Podcasts here. '90s Kid is just one of his many characters he uses for gag jokes in his reviews.

Here's his site - http://atopfourthwall.blogspot.com/

Speaking of which, how many other non-educational cartoons can be used as a study guide? A legitimate one, which the teachers actually played in school to help us study?

And I'm sure we were all surprised when we first found out what "Goodnight everybody" really meant.

I'm sure every generation says this, but we had the best cartoons growing up.

I just saw American Reunion and it totally took me back to 1999 when I saw American Pie. I was a junior in high school, it almost felt like the movie was about me and my friends. The sequels, not so much...but if you enjoyed the others, this is definitely recommended.

Dude, these were some of my favorite shows when i was a kid. All you need to do is add in "The secret world of Alex Mac" (I was in love with Larissa Oneilex) and "Are you Afriad of the Dark?" and you had the best saturday night line up TV there ever was. I'm loving the current "90's" on Nick, but wish they played more "alex Mac". Doug is a regular, as is "Hey Arnold!".

Haha... I remember one day i listen to the radio for days on end to record Metalica's "Enter Sandman". Only went to the bathroom during comercial breaks!

The memories. :D Nothing was better than sitting in front of the TV on saturday morning with my big ass bowl of cereal, watching cartoons with a pile of Lego's in front of me. Good times.. good times. Cartoons just aren't what they used to be. That's for sure.

It was mentioned back on page 2, but to reiterate:

Image

Maximum Carnage was like my THING back in the day, even though I only had like four issues of the series. I got the game, the strategy guide even, and it's probably why I thought(and still do, to a certain extent) that Venom was a good guy...

And I have since collected the entire comic series. It's not groundbreaking and maybe a little too long, but eh, it made a mark on me.

But that wasn't my only thing...

I looked for the JP mark, I spent hours upon hours with the JP Command Center I got for Christmas. Dinosaurs are awesome as is, but Jurrassic Park gave a unifying identity to them for me, and made them easier to integrate into my toy universe, if that makes any sense. Jurrassic Park forever, even if the best one is still the original...

And now for something more somber but memorable:

That commercial didn't impact my descision to not do drugs any more than anything else, but I certainly remember the message.

Speaking of which, are there really as many blatant public service announcements anymore? I mean yeah they have a certain cheese to them, but hey if it gets a message across and people remember, is it so bad?

MiB, Godzilla, Big Guy and Rusty, and Ghostbusters (both "Real" and "Extreme") were some of my favorite cartoons growing up. I adore the art styles they had. Incidentally, the artist Fil Barlow worked on most of them.

Too bad movies don't get a spin-off cartoon anymore. Kinda curious as to how Bayformers would look with the above stylizing.
