Sorry Denshy. I still think Surge is the winner. The only real thing Spinout has is the amazing side profile (seriously, gawd dayum!), better car mode, and classic transformation (if that's a plus?).Denshmark wrote:Damn you. Now I'm torn again.

I don't but it sounds like you're calling MP Ironhide fat.megatronus wrote:Also, I think his slim profile makes him a better fit on an MP shelf (see what I did there?).

SS is quite the sleekness!

MP Ironhide is pretty slender himself.
Well, in that case Spinout seems to be the bot for you. His door windows are actually more accurate too.Ironhidensh wrote:I switch my display figures between modes pretty frequently.
No official MP's have done faux chest pieces. And I was under the impression that the Hotrod 2.0 was just a retool of the original(?) so he should transform relatively the same.Agamemnon wrote:I don't recall, but are there examples of MP using a false chest? I think the upcoming Hot Rod might, but I don't recall any of the other ones doing that.
True... it's odd that they would strive for cartoon accuracy in the bot mode but basically ignore the finer details of the car mode. Sunsurges car mode looks like a yellow Sideswipe in cosplay. And honestly, the less than sleek rear end of the car mode matching the cartoon model seems more like a coincidence.Mykltron wrote:Spinout does look rather good in these pictures, but in car mode Sunsurge is almost exactly the same as Sideswipe. Same details, same length, same width. Differences: engine parts on roof, moulding on rear including lights (see below), doors don't stick out slightly, wheel arches are slightly different.

That looks like Sunsurge!
