I doubt a minor could order from an online store. Plus I'm not to sure any parent would buy there child a Master Replica Gunblade as the have a real edge on them. Also Vincents gun has three Barrles.
But alas, I do see your point.

They're 1/6th scale. You wouldn't even be able to fit your finger in the trigger guard.

It also says they're 6" long (15 cm in most other listings I've seen them in) so I'm assuming that's an error. I could see a 1/6 sniper rifle being 6" long but a handgun with a 3' long barrel would look more like what the Joker pulled from his trousers in Tim Burton's Batman.

Somehow, I'd rather not hear the details.

I don't see what the problem is. Most stores that I have seen are getting MP-05 with the orange tip.

Considering it's a replica, that means that it's not a toy and, therefore, toy laws and regulations do not apply to it.

A replica is a display piece like a statue or a bust. You're not supposed to play with it.

BBTS can peddle these to unsuspecting minors without so much as an orange tip, but MP-05 Megatron, who is too large to be mistaken for a real pistol in gun mode and resembles nothing of the sort in robot mode mandates such an addition?
Yes, I am aware the community contains nuts.
Have you actually bought anything from BBTS before? They are one of the most respected, if not THE most respected, online toy store out there. They run a top notch organization. The reason they are adding the cap is to ensure that the figure gets through customs. You wouldn't want to order something and then have it get seized in customs because it violates US toy laws would you?

That's news to me. The MP are very nicely detailed, but I never saw them maketed as anything other than toys for collectors.
Back to the topic, like Siebs and Wheeljack 35 said, BBTS is the best out there. I never had a problem with them what so ever, and Joel is great to deal with.

Dude, my original comment was in reference to the Final Fantasy replica in the link.

Heh. No problem. I probably should have made my first post a bit clearer, I guess.

I understand the rationale behind the placement of the orange cap. It is still disappointing that the rule is unevenly applied to various products rather than adopting a uniform policy.
I'd still order unadulterated products from them at an appropriate price, which I am actually considering at the moment, but there are still flaws apparent in the organization.

Nevertheless, BBTS is in the right as any gun listed as a Replica or Antique does not require the same marking as a gun classified as a toy. Nor do these items require the standard waiting period or age limits or other guns. This has nothing to do with BBTS but again is a government issue. Place blame where it belongs and take the issue up with your local congress representative.
Now, if you really, really want a clean Megatron, just wait until ebay is flooded with them.
