The article makee clear the exemption is for people of colour who are concerned they will face harassment and/or racial profiling if they wear a mask, which is the underlying problem. The other group it states are exempt are those with an underlying medical condition where wearing a mask may make it difficult to breathe. Cast your mind back to the dying words of George Floyd who's dying words "I can't breathe" and we're back to the real problem.
Cast your mind back further to 2012 when Trayvon Martin was shot by a guy who was later acquitted because he said he felt threatened by an unarmed w4 year old walking away from him.
So in answer to your question, no I don't want this because I don't want a high melanin content in the skin to have to be grouped with medical conditions which may make wearing a mask more of a threat to their health than not wearing it.
