Anyone remember this? It was a mod they started, after Half-Life: Source didn't look nearly as well as people hoped. But that was many, many years ago. The mod is infamous for not only taking far too long in development, but also for the lack of news regarding it's development and release.

Ooh, I'm forgetting something. What was it? Oh, right. Official release date is September 14th.

Get your crowbars ready.

still didn't finish Half Life 2 but soon...we are only 11 days from release of Black Mesa, it will be awesome to know the events of Half Life because i didn't play it, long development time means that it MAY be as good as what Valve could do.

Gmod uses Source, the same as all of Valve's games these days. (Ever since Half-Life 2, although Counter-Strike: Source came out first) Black Mesa will also be using that. Valve's early endeavors (Half-Life 1, the original Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, etc) used GoldSrc, a modified version of the Quake 1 Engine.
