Soundwave at TRU was not the SDCC exclusive.

Erm... that "crappy G2 colored one is teal, just like the G1 version. G2 Onslaught is yellow...

Is it merely because the other one simply has a brighter shade regardless of color?

Yeah, I guess that's what I meant... it's practically neon. But I do think the blue Onslaught is pretty good.

Am I seeing things or do Bruticus's proportions not look so out-of-whack now? Could be the camera angle. I know the left arm looks weird at least.

Correct transformations do wonders.

Seems like the SDCC one to me... Or am I missing something.

Woah, not a huge TF collector, but I might just spring for that gift-set... Do any of you more seasoned collectors know when (and how) this gift set will be available so I can keep an eye out for it?

SDCC is in July. The following Monday after the convention, they'll be available on HTS.

Provided they have some left.

G1 Soundwave was reissued twice: in 2006 as part of Classics, TRU exclusive, and again as a SDCC exclusive in 2009. Here's the Classics one:

The Color differences are so significant.

(Figure)-------(Retail)---(SDCC)
Onslaught---Blue-------Grey
Brawl----------Lime------Forest Green
Swindle------Yellow----Gold(ish)
Vortex--------Red--------Bronze
Blast-Off----Purple-----Copper

...So for CLOSEST video game accuracy, you need:

Standard Retail:
Onslaught and Swindle

SDCC:
Blast-Off, Vortex, and Brawl

Oi Vey!

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I owned the one you pictured. 2 years later the SDCC one comes along with the G1 chest and 2 extra cassets for $15 more. :HEADHURTS:

So Hasbro hasn't released the price of the Bruticus set? And no boxed figure on display? Hows a guy supposed to plan ahead?
I'm going to the convention and if Bruticus is in my price range I will buy him, but I don't know if I'll be able to carry him around if his box is huge like ROTF Devastator, or if I'd even be able to get it home on the plane.

I got Prime last year and he was no problem to get home, but I dunno about Bruticus. I have no interest in CJ, even if he is a zombie transformer.

[-( I guess it still isn't that bad, since the exclusives are probably going to go on hasbro.com for a good price. Hopefully.. [-(

And lets hope they don't sell out in like 5 minutes like Starscream did last year...

I have a feeling Cliff will hang around, like Optimus, but I question what will become of the others.

Looks mistransformed. The crotch guard.... crotch...guard...scotch guard....
the crotch guard piece looks like it has been unpegged and is sorta hanging forward off its hinge.

I'm more interested in the MP-10 displayed with FOC Bruticus. Does this mean the Hasbro release of MP-10 is SDCC exclusive?

Edit: Never mind, answered my own question saw that it's going to be exclusive to TRU...

No, they're just displaying the various exclusives together in the same case. MP-10 is going to be a TRU exclusive.

Edit: Which you figured out yourself. ;)

I wonder what significance, if any, the "2059" has, that's tampoed on Onslaught?
