You have no idea, just got into NYC for Toy Fair.

I'm sorry :( Hope you'll make it out there alive.

I have RotF Dirge and Gen. Sergeant Kup right here next to eachother, and Dirge is short! I don't think he's the worst jet mold out there, mind you. Makes me wonder who they'll pick for Megatron/Megaplex.

O, Thundercracker as Freebee :D

Okay that's 2 for 2 not so impressive Botcon releases so far, but there is still hope says I! :VEHI:

With that paint scheme he looks very G1 Jetfire-esque?

Just a bit, even the original looked like that:

:-x Complete garbarge man! None of the fan-club exclusives are ever breath taking let alone worth the price they ask. Machine Wars was a terrible line like G2 was in my opinion.

could've picked a better mold, dont get me wrong ROTF dirge is a great figure but out of all the jet molds we've had over the years there are far better ones to use.

Wow. Very shiny.

With 2 figures out now, what I thought would happen might be. The "Machine Wars" having Movie style robots versus "Classics" style.

I'm quickly becoming less impressed with this set.

However, per the Botcon and TFCC Twitter feed, they said this one may not impress. Look for the 3 - 5 molds.

So they say.

MW Skywarp was repainted to BWII Dirge, now Movie Dirge gets made into MW Skywarp. clever.

I remember this being one of the more enjoyable movie molds play-wise, so I'm not terribly upset.

I would have liked some retooling to make it a bit less 'movie-esque.' At the very least, some normal hands.

I'm holding out hope that Thundercracker gets his own unique mold, even though the original was a Skywarp repaint.

Overall, it is a good looking toy and I really dig the head sculpt. But please, no more retooled movie as classics figures. (Especially Breakaway!)

Looks fine to me. It's a mold I don't have too. He might not spend his time in bot bode but I bet his jet mode is nice. I'm actually surprised at the mold choices so far. I kinda like that.

That is one mold that does not deserve to be in a box set

Definitely not impressed. But I'm calling it: Souvenir sets with Megaplex and Thundercracker Repaints of this.

Ugh...this is not very good. Not very good...

I don't hate it but it does nothing at all for me. Thing was, I thought movie molds might make for interesting MW figures.

It isn't a bad figure but it is by no means a "good" toy either.

Thank you.

I love the original Machine wars stuff.
I avoided this toy originally. This was a weak choice. I would have preferred a ROTF Thrust(I actually like that toy) repaint over this.

Honestly I would really have preferred Animated Activators Starscream etc..
That toy does the automorph so...

Whatever, I only get one or none most of the time anyway.
This would not be the one

I don't know about you guys, but I loved that mold when I got it as ROTF Dirge. I like it just as much now. Honestly, this one impresses me more than the first reveal. :CON: :KREMZEEK: :CON: :G2CON: :MR-T: :G2CON: :TRANSCON: :RENEGADE: :TRANSCON:

Its funny that my first experience for this toy was from someone who posted on this page, as I think Counterpunch just threw this into one of our deals when he was selling off his movie figures. Same thing essentially happened to me as I only have a few remaining, and it took awhile for me to realize why I'm off put by the Dirge mold, and it's more or less because the main three seekers are always about symmetry. Obviously it sucks when there's only one gun, but overall the majority of seeker molds have body symmetry, such as Energon (which would make for a great Machine Wars Skywarp... but that mold is probably dead in the water).

Out of movie molds ROTF Breakaway would have been a better choice I think. That's probably hindsight bias because atm this MW Skywarp is a big turnoff from getting anything else in this set.

Shoddy photoshop job is sh... Wait, is he supposed to Bepaintedlikethat?

I love the Dirge mold, perhaps because I love the Harrier jumpjets, of which the mokd is based on. I am Not sold by is toy thouh, and I think, looking at pictures, the breakaway mold would've looked more better. On the plusside, if the club now has access to the Harrier alt, maybe its high past time we poke them with a stick to get a G1 Slingshot (yes, i know, this is a machine wars set, i thinking down the road) out of it, because he too turned into a harrier jump jet, or something different enough to avoid the licsencing for one, anywat

I remember that...

Also, agree on Breakaway, would have been much better.

With the Dirge mold, the jet is great.

Any one of his problems could be overlooked. However...they start to compound.

Asymmetrical, lousy arm kibble, too much clutter all over the legs...

This is the type of toy I buy to explore new designs and engineering. It isn't the kind of toy that I want out of a Botcon set.

Suddenly the missing crane on MW Hoist isn't the biggest letdown for the set. The mould choice is terrible. Botcon is a massive letdown this year. I was really looking forward to Machine Wars being the theme (I've been waiting for someone to do something with MW since 1997). But honestly, articulation aside, these actually seem like a downgrade on the original figures.

Pity, this would have been the first Botcon set I would have moved heaven and Earth to get had it been done right...

I think we can all agree we like the head sculpt. Aaaaand that's it.

Seems I was optimistic thinking the three Seekers would be the army building 3-pack this year... :BANG_HEAD:

I'm guessing we'll probably get Thundercracker either in the box or as the attendee freebie, and as both of the announced molds are new variations on existing MW characters, I'll bet there will be very few new characters in whatever the club's story ends up being.

I don't mind that. Never got into MW, so the history behind it isn't a factor for me.
