Hey, Alpha Trizer has Kenzan's swords, just like GO! Go Prime... in addition to Thundertron's regular sword on his back?
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

I'd Like Shokaract more if he didn't have the Pirates Faction Symbol. Argue about how it's appropriate because of the fiction if you want, but I think it looks off, considering that the original didn't have a faction symbol, even a predacon one, on his chest

He just needs L.P. and he'll be the ultimate Thundertron!
Kind of strange that such a pirate-y looking mold is being used in a year when Pirates are a Thing and isn't one of them.

BEST BOTCON TOYS IN FOREVER!!!
But I'm sad that the unpainted Primal Prime doesn't look so good.

The phrase doesn't mean "These are the best ones we've ever gotten." It means "these are the best ones we've gotten since the last best ones, which could potentially still be better than these new best ones."

As for Primal Prime, I really want him, especially if there's no painting required which, save for the silver, it doesn't appear that there is because all the blue, red and white appear to be colored plastics.
I don't have the mold but going by photos of 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal the blue parts of the chest and calves are painted.
Damn, right you are (and now the pics confirm that as well). I may still pick one up on the after market, but hopefully he'll come with the paints, otherwise I'll have to go through the pain of trying to match colors on Testor's site which isn't always the best (though I have had good luck in the past with most colors).

Here ya go, Xyl:
Can't help you with Testors versions of the colors, none of the conversion charts I have cover non-acrylic cause I hate them.

Frequently, the customs class is the same mold that is in a set (or otherwise being used that year) so my money is that Apelinq is a convention baggie exclusive, or the freebie door guy

There's actually two themes this year: The Box and the Botcon anniversary. All the non-box figures fit the second "theme" but are still slotted into the first because they needed to be.
I kinda wish they'd just not done fiction this year and had the theme be the two anniversaries.

I gotta say, even the box seems to be wandering off-topic. Neither Ginrai nor Devcon really strikes me as particularly knightly, and Scorponok doesn't really seem that piratey either. Scorponok, in particular, seems more meant as an "anniversary" figure.
