What does this mean? Are they saying that we have to re-register for the convention after having already payed the Primus Package price back when it was first up?

Or, is this for those who weren't able to register at all the first time?

I think this translates to, "enough people canceled where we re-opened registration."

Why'd they cancel? Wasn't this well before the credit card issues with Over-Run/SG Drift preorders?

>:oP Forgive me, it's friday evening, a quarter to midnight, as of the time of this post and I've had a drink or two this evening so I apologize in advance if this comes across as relativly coarse...

:BANG_HEAD: Dude, what do you mean "why did they cancel?" ??? Have you been paying attention to the news threads this past week? This has nothing to do with Over-run and SG Drift (although the seeds were planted there). I suspect this is a reflection of the overall lack of confidance toward the Hasbro team giving the wishy washy ebb and flow of jerking around that they've demonstrated in previous weeks as Botcon approaches....I mean hell, I considered cancleing because of all of this indecisive arrogant crap myself. I'm just saying...

But canceling is basically saying that one doesn't want to go to BotCon anymore. Despite whatever hard feelings one might have towards Fun Pub, why would they want drop going BotCon?

Sure, I can understand "boycott" feelings and such, but then one would miss out on not only the convention but also hanging out with online friends that don't get to see each other at any other time.

That's almost like saying one wouldn't go to their friend's birthday party due to not liking the parents of that friend, which is ridiculous.

Aw, there are still sweet and innocent beings out there (no Autobot032, that was not condecending lol). Sabre I want to buy you a drink of your choice upon meeting, seriously....beer, shot, wine or a rootbeer float, it's on me LOL.

Anybody else wanna jump in here (in regards to the why cancel question)? :D

Well said!

You know what, if it wasn't for the friendships I made since the first "official" Botcon I attended back in 2009, I probably would of canceled too. At this point, I am not going for the toys but to see my Transformer family. Even though I will be bringing my Armada Red Alert to participate in the "protest," I am willing to look past all this bullshit from FP and Hasbro and enjoy the company of my friends and share an awesome week together.

@Sabre Ah yes, good old compound CH3.....He just says "No" to alcohol, but the number one american addiction is just fine by him....caffiene (Mountain Dew). Relax, I too am guilty and I'm just picking on ya. Actually I think the number one negative addiction at the moment is porn, but alas thats a subject for another message board. LOL

And @ Joevill....you and I would no doubt get along at Botcon...look me up (and you too Sabreblade).

*Till all are one...drunken pile.

To be honest, that's probably the soda that I drink the least of (come to think of it, when was the last time I had a Mountain Dew? Image). Anyway, I usually drink very little soda anyway (usually only when I go out at some restaurant or on weekends at home or whatever), and when I do it's mostly Sprite, some orange soda, or strawberry soda.

Either way, water's my main beverage.

Still, regardless of all the nonsense that's been going on with Fun Pub, I'm gonna enjoy the spoils of my third BotCon wholeheartedly, and not let them go to waste by bailing out. That's asinine. I've saved up for toys in the dealer room and, darn it, I'm gonna by me some toys there, whether Fun Pub's been rubbish or not. I will not let some shoddy business methods deprive me of attending the biggest event I've looked forward each year since 2010. If others feel cheated enough to skip out on the Con this year, then so be it. More spoils (i.e. - toys) to go around. And that also leaves better seating available for the Hall of Fame too, which I refuse to miss out on. Their loss is my gain. Mwahahahaha! :))

Guys, BotCon packages never sold out in the first place this year so it's not that there had to be mass cancellations, there were just some packages still available. They had shut down registration shortly after the credit card issues hit so for those who couldn't afford it or were on the fence before, they have the chance to sign up now.

For the record, BotCon Primus packages have sold out every year since 2006, although in 2009 I believe they sold out at the actual convention. Also, in a bit of irony, usually they close pre-registration about a month ahead of the Con and now we're less than 3 weeks out and they're telling folks to "take their time." It does make me wonder how many packages are still left.-----

Here are a couple of notes:

You need to use your email and password that were set up in the Transformers Store (https://www.toyarama.com/store/transformers-club-memberships-c3.php) for you. The retrieval function at BotCon will not give you the correct information as it is not connected to the store. Please use the retrieval function at the store to get your password.

You can now go to the store and sign up for a membership. If you are receiving this email you have a membership. However some of you may need to renew. If you know anyone that needs a new membership or has allowed their membership to lapse, please have them go to the store. If you had a log in already, check your account for your next auto bill renewal date before you process anything as this can cause duplicate accounts. The app that will prevent you from doing this is not finished yet.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO REGISTER AS A NON-MEMBER WE CANNOT ADJUST THE PRICING so please sign up at the store first.

If you have any problems, please email us as we will take care of your concerns or issues. Please note that we are still experiencing a few software functionality issues as have are are tuning the security software. By being set very tight (security software) it breaks some of the application software functions.

We have also implemented additional security as you can see by the reCAPTCHA utility that you must solve before you log in. This is for everyone's security.

See you in Dallas!
