While it's nice seeing new things on the shelves now it's going to be really hard finding the next wave with this much overstock not likely to sell out by then. And there's likely more to come since that's all Siege and there's probably more Studio Series stuff coming.

Also got a bit of a laugh at the wording on the Target sale tags.

Well the next wave isnt scheduled to hit retail until after black friday fir siege and after the new year for studio series so I dont think there's a problem.

Weapon: Sword
went yesterday to the shopping mall of my town, hoping that, with the Christmas coming soon, they started to prepare the shelves for the holidays.
Well, they did, but the TF part was really underwelming.
Just a few Cyberverse figures and some Bumblebee (movie) toys.
Nothing on Siege or Studio Series at all.

Looks like I'll get my Christmas presents on Ebay/Amazon. As always.

Really wish I would remember to take my phone in with me when I go to my local Walmart. There is literally 1 deluxe Siege Hound on the Pegs, and on the bottom shelf 2 of those big Bumblee Cyberverse toys. The most pathetic Transformers section I've seen.

Rung is one of those characters with divided reception. Those who are huge fans of the 2005-2018 IDW comics love him and want him, but most other fans don't really give a toss.
WANT:
* Cybertron Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Cyb Jetfire R gun and missile
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* DotM Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* ROTF Jetfire R JTFR panel

Di Bonaventura is not a credible or trustworthy source. And most fans do like the diversity push, thanks.

I walked over to Target (I live across the street from the only one in town) on a whim this morning, and they had nothing but Siege on the pegs. So I asked a worker to scan the deluxe and voyager to see what's in the back, and she brought out a single Wheeljack. Of course I got him, but I was surprised that there were no voyagers in the back, seeing as how the shelf was overflowing with Thundercrackers, so there was no room for any others.

As for Rung, I saw him in the wild a few times, passed on him each time. I don't care for the character, but he had a unique design, and if he had been a deluxe, I would have gotten him.

I don't know why, but I never have any luck finding people working at Target when I need them. There's never anybody in the toy department and only occasionally someone at the electronics counter. Back when they did the BOGO sale I did a lap around the store trying to find someone to check the back for me and the only employees I saw were on registers or the service desk, all tending to people. Where are these people hiding? I probably could have pushed the help button, but I was already pretty annoyed and had no idea how long it would take for someone to finally come out of hiding. Monday was basically the same, but I wasn't hunting for someone and nobody was in electronics so I just grabbed my stuff and left.

Went to Target today because I got a 10% off coupon for my 1 year Red Card anniversary. Hoped they had finally gotten ER Deluxe in, but no, still haven't seen any of them in person. All they had for ER was some Battle Masters and Micromasters and an Astrotrain. Looks like they've gotten in a few cases of the Siege Thundercracker wave in the last few weeks so that's annoying.

20200530_175853.jpg

In Maine there's only 5 Targets in the entire state and they're all between 30 and 70 miles apart so the chances of someone frequenting more than one store is unlikely. You'd think they'd be better about keeping stock current. Still a long way from any kind of ER retail saturation around here.

So I was recently able to go on a TF hunt to my local Target and Wal-Mart for the first time in a couple months. I was hoping to find SS Roadbuster and possibly Netflix Hotlink, as well as at least seeing wave 1 of ER, but...

Wal-Mart was pretty much barren, with only a few Netflix deluxes mixed in with a few shelfwarming 35th anniversary figures. The only ER figure was a lone Grapple, and there was no sign of the Netflix voyagers.

Target was a different story, but not a better one. The shelves there were just as clogged with Siege as they were 4 months ago, and somehow the number of Shockwaves has multiplied to a whopping nine. The only ER figure was one leader Optimus. As for SS, I still have yet to see the last 2 waves of deluxes, but at least Mixmaster and Megatron have finally turned up.

Maybe all the new stuff came and went, and I just missed it...

The display set up at my Wal-Mart has been wiped out, with only a few Siege deluxes and Grapples remaining, as well as a few Netflix deluxes and Megatrons. Hotlink is almost all gone, seems to be very popular. I wonder if there are people who couldn't get Skywarp subbing Hotlink for him because of the deco being similar.

Went to my local Target today to see about asking the people that work there if they have any Earthrise stuff not packed out yet in the back. I brought a dude one of the figures from the shelf so he would know what I was talking about, and I asked about Earthrise in general, not just the figure I was holding, and mentioned to him the new wave was supposed to be coming out. Literally all he did was scan the figure I was holding and said no, everything we have is out.
Looks like it will be continued ordering online.

Today I checked target online and saw that my store had 2 Skylynxes in. So I rushed over expecting a big TF to play with today, and they said they didn't have any. :-( :-( The guy checked in the back because his scanner said they had him, but nothing. I am disappoint. I will be checking again, they had just redone the shelves and I even saw the price tag for Sky Lynx. What did surprise me was seeing the price tag for MPM-10 Starscream next to Sky Lynx. $149.99. Isn't that an exclusive, being a Masterpiece and a Bayverse one at that?

Target is such an epic fail right now it's not even funny. It's seriously a miracle that I was able to find Pounce and Wingspan at my local one this weekend.

I went to Target this evening for a couple non-TF items, but checked out what they had... And it definitely wasn't much. Also noticed that the ER endcap display was gone, but it's been almost two weeks since I've been, so who knows when they took that down.
But it seems like there are other sections that are thin right now too.
The Lego section was really sparse; looks like they're waiting as long as possible to put out new product. Not saying Lego and TF are on the same release schedules, but I bet in the next 2-4 weeks a lot is going to be happening.

Btw, stopped at Walmart as well, and the TF section was pretty thin there too.

Yeah the Lego section in my Target has been annihilated since basically April when I picked up the Mandalorian AT-ST. Since then, the Star Wars/Marvel/Friends aisle has gaping holes that have not been filled.
The Earthrise end cap has been up this whole month but nothing new with the exception of the other day with the twins magically showing up, and I was able to snag one of the three on the shelf. Otherwise it's all Optimus, Astrotrain, and Siege Megatron. The other Target that I check out, which is about 40 minutes away, near where I work has like 8 Shockwaves on the shelf and nothing else.
Wal-Mart is even worse. I've tried three stores over the last month and a half and no change. The only thing that's been good, is one of them is in a nice quiet town nearby, its never busy and nice and clean, and its been good for finding some Siege figures which are harder to find in store right now. I was able to find Brunt, one of my three Refraktors, and Springer, so the trips haven't been a total waste.

Target is getting ready to reset their toy aisles. Walmart is also, a new Masters of the Universe line exclusive to Walmart is coming out 8/1.

The Target I fought at today to get Scorponok was doing the reset, also why they have deluxe's on sale for $17 this week, trying to clear out what they can. The Problem is, some stores near me still have Leader Shockwaves. They just need to bite the $10 clearance bullet on those and get them out of there, or ship em to TJ Maxx....

Target.com shows a few new things as being in "limited stock" at my local Target, but I was there today, there wasn't anything at all new on the shelves. Sky Lynx? Nope. Cyberverse Seeker 4 pack? Nope. Hiding in the back room I guess. No sign of a shelf reset at this store, but a lot of clearance tags around so it's probably coming.

Here in the UK, The only Transformers products I see in my local retailers any more are Cyberverse one-step changers, BotBots, Seige Lionizer, and a few leftover Last Knight things. I've seen a couple of Seige Deluxes in some specialist toy shops, but they're not exacty common. I've yet to see anything Earthrise or Netflix anywhere.
I did visit one such toy shop for the first time since March when my country turned into a George Orwell novel because of Covid-19, and while it was mostly old shelf-warming Rescue Bots they did still have a lot of Power of the Primes Deluxes, including Moonracer, the first time I've ever seen a PotPie Deluxe past wave 1 in a brick-and-mortar store. Mind you there were quite a lot of Moonracers there so perhaps she's a bad shelf-warmer too, and I don't really care enough about the character of Moonracer to justify buying one.

Man, I am never going to see Earthrise Battle Masters at Target again. I haven't seen any there since May and when they did that big end cap display over a month or so ago they filled up two pegs with Siege wave 1 Battle Masters and then tried to pack them all onto a single peg when they removed it, which are all still there today. :roll:
20200915_185135.jpg

The TF section is a bit of a wreck anyway. They put all of these DC Multiverse figures in the space Cyberverse Troop class is supposed to be in, but two wide so it takes up the space the ER Seeker 2-pack is supposed to be in (currently occupied by a Cyberverse Officer class Bumblebee on the wrong shelf). The Cyberverse Seeker 4 pack is full of 6" Ghostbusters even though they have a dedicated (and empty) peg of their own in the Transformers section. Nothing else is really in the right spot either. There's a bunch of Ironworks and a single Siege Impactor in the movie Voyager space (and no Movie Voyagers at all), but only a Wheeljack in the ER Deluxe space. Nothing in the Studio Series Deluxe or Leadfoot space and the WFC Voyager space contains two ER Grapples and two Siege Megatrons. SS and WFC Leaders are both nothing but their respective Shockwaves. This is why I've been buying most of my figures online these days, just can't get what I want in stores anymore. Wish I could blame COVID on this, but this has been the norm for a couple years now.
