Touche'. Maybe I'm weird, but finding stuff in the shelf was always more fun than finding it online. Unfortunately, Hasbro distribution is so spotty and anemic that the shelves are almost always empty, or full of the same RiD dust catchers.

Dont worry about Nightbeat, he is part of the second 2017 wave so you will find him then at the latest.

Yep.

I hope they don't skip his wave as the new ones in that wave are rather nice - It did cross my mind to wonder if the wave after that somewhere (or one of the refresh ones) might contain Wave 3 Titanmasters and the 2 new ones and skip Nightbeat's reissue for the UK release.

As it looks like that has happened to Optimus - he's sold out all over and most places got the Double Soundwave case not the Optimus and Soundwave shared case.

So It seems they have outright skipped Sixshot (except as an import in comic shops) and so no more PM Optimus Leaders here either - even though he's all sold out and yet still in demand. (2nd time they went and done that now after previously not making more CW Optimus of any colour available - accept as import derived stock).

Hopefully Toymaster might find some stock down the back of a sofa - they usually do in pre-easter time..

I think the UK is going to get the Sky Shadow and Sixshot shared case and not the Sixshot & Soundwave case - (as Soundwave is a bit of a glut so it makes sense to skip him).

If I have to I can always find a Nightbeat on eBay I guess. But i'm happy to have actually found a Terribull at all.

--

I did order Chromedome after all as a lamentation for being an idiot and not ordering Triggerhappy when I had the chance. But I hear The Entertainer is getting some more in Feb - I just hope they are not £20+ though. Not that I trust them as they tend to tell tall tales sometimes about what they think they are going to stock online and don't - like Stunticons or Later RID Minicons.

--

Argos are crap - I don't even have to go into detail - Argos is crap is enough.

------

I'm tempted to say - forget it for a while and play Catch-up on Eaglemoss Starships for a bit instead.

Just so you know, there are no shared cases. Sixshot ships with only himself (twice) and so will Sky Shadow.

And its too early to see if they are skipping sixshot, he;s a first quarter release and the first quarter just started. Even the US doesnt have him yet.

I think the idea is Waves are "supposed" to ship at the same time - I'm being a grumpy trousers as the Voyager and Deluxes are out and the Leaders and Titanmasters are not - Legends are sorta out a bit - but still mostly missing in the UK.

No one I ask in retail seems to have any idea sixshot exists he's not showing up on their internal store systems at all - likewise Sky Shadow.

If I find some dipstick has done a Stunticons with them and skipped them - I won't be happy - I can see some numb-bolts thinking they had a slow uptake on Soundwave (who is essentially a repaint) and take that out on the 2 new moulds.

After all they managed to pretty much fail to sell Fortress Maximus in the UK too.

The only way I can see them releasing them at all is either in a joint release or a new shared case (remember Soundwave has a shared case with Optimus and a case with just him in).

I certainly don't want to be waiting until June for wave 4 Deluxes when the Wave 3 ones have been hanging around a while already.

The retailers I speak to say they are being told by Hasbro that they will restock in Feb - so I hope that whatever shows up gets on shelves quickly.

As boy is it embarrassing when joint incompetence of Hasbro and retailers leads to an Easter of Empty shelves - that has happened way to many times.

Though what I expect will happen due to toy buyers being idiots is that all the retailers will find the least appealing item in the Movie-sub-line and order a tone of that and prevent anything decent showing up at all for the next 3 years - I have so little confidence in UK retailers having the balls to make a competent choice that I could easily believe that every Transformers line will be horribly miss-handled for at least the next 3 years. Rescue Bots has been misshandled for years so I expect RID will suffer and likely die off completely very quickly and Generations will be barely ordered even by TRU - but I can't say it this is due to Hasbro not allocating boat space and factory numbers or by doing incredibly stupid things like sending all the Sixshots to Canada.

They'd done that sort of thing before when great gluts of Alternators Hound and ROTF Longhaul got slapped on Australian retail.

I suspect the lack of interaction with UK retailers caused by not actually going to the UK Toyfair is also biting them on the backside.

That idea hasnt happened for a while. Even combiner wars was out of synch. Its because the ship date is independent of when stores will stock the toys, that cant be predicted. The only thing we can expect at this point is that wave 3 comes before wave 4. Aside from that, I wouldnt bother seeking for the classes to coordinate perfectly.

I guess it's time to say the lament that rises like Dracula from the Grave.

I miss Woolworths. Woolworths functioned as one of the largest Toy Importers and even if (usually when) Hasbro made a hash out of distribution they offered another source.

What was particularly strange though is this - when ASDA wasn't owned by Walmart they had more imported toys than they did when they were. and that was when they were a smallish supermarket chain.

Now they have many many more stores and they still have zip in the way of toys - some of the 3/4 size stores which are 4 times the size or larger than most shops about 1/5th larger than say a Poundstretcher and equal to most Wilko stores - and they have not toys at all - except maybe some blind bag stuff shoved by the magazines or sometimes a standee with hotwheels in it.

All that floor space a yet non for toys - and then what is classed as normal size store gets one isle and 2/3rds of that is tat the sort of things chinese wholesalers sell by the crate for $400 a crate. They once had a 12 foot section of nothing but beach balls in a town that is 45 miles away from the sea.

Modern Supermarkets are idiots and that is just my feelings as they apply to Toys I spend a modest amount of my time ranting about other areas too on Twitter like Yogurt [laugh]

https://twitter.com/Red_Rescue

Mean while in Tesco it was an event worth of much rejoicing that I found Legion Class Springload and Starscream in a Tesco recently.

Where as in the other big store all they had was blind bag and one steps (though I did get a large Thunderbird 3 with smoke tech for £12.49 - which was nice) and in the 3rd large store the had nothing but blind bags and one leftover blue Optimus legion all on his own.

Annoyingly they always used to sell Voyagers - I don't think I've seen a Voyager in a Tesco near me since Sharkticon Megatron was out.

It's exasperating stuff. and even the local Toymaster doesn't sell Titans Returns "at all" in fact it also doesn't sell Rescue Bots or RID either. all it has is Legends & Voyager Class Combiner Wars - same as B&M does.

If you see Transformers in a clearance place it's ALWAYS Mashups. and anything else is a minor miracle and usually something like Hexbugs - Home Bargains being especially egregious there. especially when they sell a lot of Hasbro toys - just none of them are Transformers.

The TRU nearest to me isn't that near it's a 50 mile round trip.
But last time I looked they had.

2 Wave One Titanmasters (which I bought) That was why I still need Nightbeat and I just got terri-bull to try to fill that gap.

Wave 3 Dekuxes (no Triggerhappy) no wave 1 or 2

Large Bumblebee the huge simple hollow one

Wave 3 Voyager 3 of each

Leader Soundwave - about 8 of them

Wave 1 Legends about 6 of them.

As well as their usual RID warrior exclusives and some Minicons - I also managed to finally get a Deployer Fracuture there too

I forgot to check Rescue Bots - but no they are not great when it comes to Transformers - they do have some stuff - but it's most the same stuff they list online so it's usually not worth a special trip.

--------

Oh and Supermarket insanity of the day has to be the £1.00 Titanmaster Deluxes.

Yeah stock a bunch of Toys no one can find then reduce them when you have had them less than a month to £5.00 and then £1.00 not long after.

If there wasn't this £20.00 Deluxe foolishness they sell them constantly and have good sell through at £12.99 and not have to reduce them at all.
I know that as that is what happens in my local ASDA with RID Warriors as soon as they lower the Prices a bit they usually have to restock 3 times when the offer is on and each time I go in ASDA some more have gone.

As soon as they put them up to something like £15.99 they just sit there.
When they put them at £8.00 they didn't even last 3 days.

And last time they got a card standee in the whole thing was stripped bare in less than a week bar a couple of Overloads which got put in the clearance section.

So if they get them in and they are not price gouging they sell and sell well - so why are they not getting them - they don't even sell Titanmasters in any of the 4 ASDA closest to me when they do sell them all over other ASDA even smaller ones.

I hope the Feb restock is legit - but my complete inability to find Wave 1 TR Deluxes & Wave 1 & 2 Voyagers & PM Optimus is pretty annoying.

And Argos idea of what to put in their catalogue is a cause for mirth.

Your TRU seems to be up to date and with a decent selection, similar to mine. Your situation sounds better than the US actually.

The TF section at my local Target has lots of misplaced Power Rangers figures and Voltron toys, but hardly any Transformers. Then again, I'm not sure how many TFs they could even fit in the two feet of shelf space they've allotted to TFs. Meanwhile, TRU has decided to only stock RID toys, and several Fort Maxes that no one is ever going to pay $149.99 for (but which will never go on sale, because TRU).

Wave 4 all in as restocks. Blaster and Soundwave all shelf warming. Sixshot just got hammered (sold out very quickly), same with Hotrod and Perceptor.

Same list from my previous post. Leader, Voyager and Deluxe.Only replenished. The tablet 'cons and Autobots are also shelfwarming since Christmas. No "PMOP" though. Lot's of Blackshadow's.

Makes me wonder why no one seems to dig Soundwave. Blaster I kinda understand. Also, there are a lot of TF Adv but, not so interested in their stock replenishment.

Just came back from ice creams at Baskin-Robbins (I missed my chocolate hazelnuts :x ), and a little trip to Walgreens. Still had some Brainstorms and Wave 1 and 2 Deluxes, plus some RiD One-Steps.

Walmarts here have yet to restock: one only had RiD Scorponoks and a single Windblade, tons of One-Steps (the "quick gift" trays during the holidays didn't work!), some Legions (Springload and Starscream) and 3-Steps, and Power Surge Prime. Combiner Force packs have appeared tho. No Generations except for Wave 1 Leaders. Another has Wave 1 and 2 Legends, Wave 3 Titan Masters, a single Scourge and Wave 1 Leaders again. More RiD Combiner Force packs than the first, and more 3-Steps.

Target has more variety, but still not quite up-to-date. Kinda the same as Walmart, but with Wave 2 Voyagers in the mix, and some leftovers like Wave 2 Titan Masters, RiD Battle Pack Sideswipe (the first one) and maybe a stray Mini-Con 4-pack.
