Broken Anniversary MP Prime

Hi all,
My MP Anniversary (MP01/Mp04) Prime broke the other night during transformation. As per the photo I have tried to show below the plastic holding one of the tanks onto the leg has snapped. These tanks lock the legs in place when transformed and therefore without it the leg is liable to collapse.

Has anyone experienced this before and is capable of recommending the best approach to repair this? I am considering gluing (with super glue first and the plastic glue if that is not strong enough) the tank back on, without the spring behind it, and then just wedging the tank in place when transformed and hoping it holds.
Another option is to grab some spares of Ebay and try to replace the part, although if the above gluing approach will work well enough then paying £20 for the spare legs will feel a bit steep.
