I have things from every line, but I have a dedicated Optimus Prime/Convoy collection, so I end up buying him for that particular part of the collection.

I have cut my movie collection down though. When the first movie came out I was all "gotta buy them all", then money and space became an issue, and I started to realise that some of the figures really truly SUCK. While others are absolute gems.

I still have no room to expand the movie collection though so aside from those two, I've only bought Zeus, Voyager and Leader Megatron, and Barricade.

So January saw the arrival of ... nothing.

No new (or even old) Transformers joined the collection this month. I paid for a few, one is still in the mail, the rest are still sitting in Japan waiting for me to ship them.

I thought I might have picked up a Power of the Primes figure or two, but nope, apparently when Hasbro AU said "mid-January", they were only talking small independent stores and not the big national stores.

Oh well ... lots more fun to be had in February then!

Through all the chats we've had here and there, I knew it was going to be a good size. Still though I'm wow'd. Nice work Burn. I can't even say I have half that many.

I have a January full of purchases that I deeply regret, but my kids loved.

Except for PotP Rodimus Prime, even my kids hated that figure.

As I was leaving for work this morning, I'm at the end of the drive way turning out, and there was a delivery van turning in.

So despite all of us getting a lecture yesterday about being late for work, I damned myself and chucked a blocky to come back and intercept the delivery driver.

Delivery driver was nearly set to drive off and leave me a "come get this later" card. Oh hell no lady! You're giving me that box NOW!

Oh and then there was this guy, this guy who it feels like I've waited an eternity for (no seriously, **** you PremiumCollectables), this guy who I had to watch everyone else enjoy.

He's finally here, he's finally set to join the collection.



It feels so good to finally have him after all this time. I know my experiences with PremiumCollectables was relatively smooth sailing compared to others, but to be dicked around on one of the most important releases last year pissed me off royally.

But he's here now. Yay!!!!

And do let me know how MP-36 turns out, I am finally getting around to be able to purchase a MP Megatron, and I want to be sure that MP-36 is a definite improvement over MP-05. I mean, it looks like it, and the reviews say so as well, but considering the prices, I have to take everything into account before I make a purchase.

I hear you, and I agree with you even. But, there's also a certain beauty in simplicity no? I feel that Shadow and Lord make some very generic robots, almost akin to SW Stormtroopers. They just give me that feel. But the mold is quite satisfying and solid. It's perfectly blocky, almost like a G1 brick just straight up given modern articulation.

Got a C/G figure, I think it fits the bill quite nicely.

It was a very quiet March. Mainly due to over-priced K-Marts and Targets combined with poor distribution.

Oh and my car needs new ignition coils.

Our K-mart went out of business, and the Target is usually +3 or so dollars over Walmart.

I like the look of the Skullgrin though I might have to go find it.

Pretty nice little spread there, Chief.

What are your feelz on them? I fear it will be hard for those little PMs to live up to your love for real Pretenders.
Do the Dino's do it for you? Could be better, but will do, or complete ****?

Still in his box. I came home and did Seibertron.com stuff.

I busted Dreadwind out of his packaging today and you know what? I like him.

Yeah sure the transformation is the same thing we saw plenty of times in Combiner Wars, but his colours really make him stand out.

I really like how you can plug his Prime Master armour onto the back of his jet mode which gives a nod to his G1 Powermaster self. And in robot mode, plugging it onto one of his forearms to give an over sized fist is just ridiculously fun.

My one gripe is the exposed screws and pin heads. They really stick out.
