C'mon, everybody has a favourite pokémon, what's yours?

Had a rather bizarre conversation with a friend of mine the other day. I came up with a theory that, regardless of how old you are or how lame you think Pokémon is (trust me, I think it's plenty lame), everybody has a favourite Pokémon. Honest, I started asking around some of my University friends who told me stuff like "Pokémon is so stupid and horrible, but man, I always liked the little turtle guy" - it's actually pretty funny.

Now it's time to test the TF fan community, to see how true my theory is. Remember, it's all in good fun!

For the record, my favourite is Porygon. :P he's so cute! He reminds me of Toilet-Duck.

I liked Scyther, Charmeleon, Blastoise, Blazeken, and Articuno.

Also there's this new pokemon from Diamond and Pearl that looks awesome. Fire monkeys FTW!

it's been a while, so I'm only familiar with original 151. But my favorite was always Gyarados.

A friend of mine at school has a huge obsession over Mudkip.

Can't really blame her, the thing's pretty awesome.

Same here, but a few years after, out of curiosity, I went back and played through the sequel (Gold & Silver I think?) with the next 150 on the Gameboy colour and found that I actually had alot of fun with it, despite my being much older and past the "pokémon" phase of my youth.

People can say alot of bad things about the franchise, but the old school videogames of Pokémon were actually pretty fun.

Also, I've always wondered if Blastoise was a rip-off of Snaptrap... even when I was like 8 years old, I remember seeing Blastoise for the first time and thinking "hey, this guy looks alot like one of my favourite transformers"

I think you're on to something there. :-? I've also played through some of the newer games, I think they're quight good. My favourite has to be koffing or lickitoungue out of the originals, but I also like shroomish out fo the newer ones, because it reveals to us all how pokemon are designed....

I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one. Never understood the appeal of this series.
