I'm a Transfan with roots that run deep into G1, and now I'm starting to bud into the IDW universe—and loving it! I bought WW vol 1 and 2, Infiltration, Stormbringer, Escalation, and SL vol 1. I finished WW 1 and Infiltration—to very different story lines, but both supremely written. I keep going back and reading my favorite parts.

The fact that the art is breathtaking and a joy to look at is also part of the fun! I keep finding new things, like the shot of Prime's mudflap during his battle with Megs in WW 1. Just wanted to share my excitment with everyone!

Hate to Burst your Bubble, but the War Within stories are not part of the IDW Furmanverse. They were originally published by a company called Dreamwave (DW). DW went bankrupt and ripped off many of the people who worked for them, thanks to a fella called Pat Lee. IDW has only re-published the DW War Within and G1 series Trades.

So nothing that happens in the War Witin series has any ties or implications on the IDW stories released thus far: Infiltration, Escalation, Stormbringer, or the Spotlights.

So while they may be good stories, War Within is now officially dead, as is the not so well written DW ongoing G1 series.
