You didn't miss anything. Bumblebee is part of the "A Level" assortment that will be available in stores for 9-12 months. Hasbro's gonna flood the shelves with him.adamage1 wrote:....aaaand Bumblebee is already sold out everywhere, and I saw this news late. DAMN IT.

I wonder who that yellow hand belongs to. A comic edition Jhiaxus?
Pretty sure it's Rodimus.
Personally, I'm dissapointed to see so many retools and redecos, Hasbro is really keeping tabs on their budget like never before. The only new molds revealed were Bumblebee and Steeljaw, and the only new mold coming in the 4th wave is Optimus Prime.

What do you want to talk about?
I knew when I saw Steeljaw that Speaker was meant for Blaster, which makes that SS86 version all the more desirable. I'm impressed that the wings and side guns can be stored in alt mode, which looks less like a tape and more like a USB drive.
They did all they could to the Siege Springer mold to make it more G1 movie/toon accurate short of a new mold. I appreciate the new accessories which seems to include a toy/show-accurate rifle. I like the new sword that becomes the rotor blades in helicopter mode but the thrilling 30 version still has the best sword. I do think if they just did the remolding and left the accessories as is, this could've been sold as a voyager.
While I like SS86 Bumblebee it doesn't look as good as the Walmart release and nowhere near as good as the MP ver01 figure. I can see how they're trying to work in the inevitable Cliffjumper retool and a possible GS Bumper figure.

Comparison Images Between SS Leader Springer and Siege Voyager Springer Mold
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
Images of Transformers Studio Series leader class Springer are being shared online, coming from an e-bay listing. They show a comparison between this new Springer and the voyager mold it's based on (specifically the Amazon exclusive toy based redeco). We can now see how much retooling or new tooling is involved, such as the head, chest, ect. We also see that the new one has articulated hands and comes with more accessories. You'll let us know if it's worth it to get this new one or not.

Nope. Not worth the extra $$$. I would get it if I didn't have Siege already, but he's good enough.
And do you really think we're getting a comic edition Rodimus? Out of the Kingdom figure? Or a new mold, since the box will most likely be for a leader figure?

I was holding out a little bit of hope that we'd see TLK Drift who we had a listing for a while ago in this wave, but got reportedly delayed. Nothing for me from today's stuff, but we should see that ROTF multipack in July so there's something to look forward to before 2025!

The SS86 Springer is not ugly but it looks nowhere near as good as the Siege version. It has too much grey and a blue Autobot symbol.

Is the SS86 Springer better? Absolutely! Is it worth the extra $$$? Doubt it. But even if the extra $$$ is not a concern (say...a gift). I don't feel I will like SS86 a single bit more than the Siege one. So why pay for ZERO excitement? A bit more screen accuracy is not worth the waste of money & the energy to figure out how to handle the old figure.

I agree, but I will get the SS86 as I currently have no Springer.

Well then it's gotta be someone heavily retooled, because I can't picture Xaaron being a reused mold, and I doubt they'll give us 2 brand new molds.Sabrblade wrote:He turns into a tank.Rodimus Prime wrote:And Flame is a UK exclusive character, correct? I'm told there have been some really good fan customs of Xaaron made out of Cyberverse Deluxe class Megatron.Rodimus Prime wrote:Well then it's gotta be someone heavily retooled, because I can't picture Xaaron being a reused mold, and I doubt they'll give us 2 brand new molds.Sabrblade wrote:He turns into a tank.Rodimus Prime wrote:And Flame is a UK exclusive character, correct? Though, it remains to be seen if Hasbro would be willing to use a Cyberverse Deluxe mold for a Legacy figure even if those Deluxes were largely on par with Legacy-styled engineering.
Then again, no one expected them to use a Studio Series Bumblebee movie mold for Legacy Javelin, so who knows? Guess we'll just have to be surprised.

I agree, but I will get the SS86 as I currently have no Springer.
If I don't have Siege Springer, I'd PO this SS86 version. If I can find a redeco scheme to repaint the Siege version, I'll probably get the SS86 if it goes on clearance. But I don't know TF lore deep enough to know what redeco character is there for it.

Only other deco that makes any realistic sense is toy colors and we got that in the Wreck N' Rule collection at Amazon.
Incidentally, Entertainment Earth has the case packouts. Not really sure why they're just repeating the same figures from the previous wave instead of trying to cycle in some older popular figures that may have not been easy to find in abundance in stores.
Core wave 10
Actual breakdown not given but an 8 figure case includes
SS86 Steeljaw
SS86 Ratchet
Bumblebee Movie Rumble
Deluxe wave 25
2x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX TF7 BARCELONA (ROTB Wheeljack)
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX MV6 SUNSTREAKE
2x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC SIDESWIPE
3x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC DECEPTICON
Voyager wave 25
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY MV6 SHOCKWAVE
2x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY MV6 SKYWARP
Leader wave 15
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR MV6 MEGATRON
1x TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR AST TF86 SWOOP
They really should reissue Noah, Rumble was just released this year. But who knows, maybe he's in the wave with Starscream.
The early leak for the Deluxe wave showed a new The Last Knight Drift and ReActivate Lifeline, but I guess those guys are in limbo so they just gave us Sideswipe and Sunstreaker two waves in a row and Wheeljack from the wave before that (which in his case may have been the plan all along, leaks didn't include repacks).

I may be in the minority, but I find BOTH Springers to be uninteresting. Those will be an easy skip.
The SS86 release I'm really exited about is Bumblebee. Not only does the bot look PERFECT, especially compared to the previous Netflix, the vehicle is very G1 toy accurate. Overall, it's even way better than the second MP.

Repacks Confirmed for Studio Series ROTB Wheeljack, WFC Sideswipe, BB Megatron, 86 Swoop and More
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
You probabably noticed that yesterday's reveals did not seem numerous enough to fill a whole wave of Studio Series toys. Well that's because the wave will be made up mostly of repacks, and we now know their contents thanks to listings on Entertainment Earth. You'll notice that 86 Bumblebee and TF One Prime are not there and that's because they are in their own specific case that retailers can order all year round.

With regards to the reveals, they were very disappointing. I can't believe we are to the point where I am only going to buy a single figure from a wave of Studio Series, and that is the 4th use of a mold.
Springer is not a leader, sorry, that level of retooling should've kept him at a voyager, and those accessories are not enough for a leader.
In other news, I do really enjoy Sunstreaker

Re: Transformers Studio Series General Discussion Thread
I like both versions a lot, and can't choose a favorite depending on the angle. The siege version looks better from the side and back, but the SS looks better from the front IMO. I think I will likely pick this up for the accessories, and the lack of battle damage. I like having multiple versions of the same character if both versions are good. I still want to go back and get that CHUG springer from years ago. It was a really neat looking one and I liked it's redesign. It also looked good as sandstorm, and I think there was a hot rod repaint?
Anyways, ramble over. Cool figure. Nuff said.
