Nope, but I feel that we may be in the minority. Had? As in past tense? Did you get rid of them?

I find their designs to be very cool and a lot of fun and they have a bit of a special place in my collectors heart because I played the WfC/FoC before I was into collecting TFs. At one point I had all the WfC/FoC figures on their own display, but because I got into the IDW comics a bit I started moving some characters in and out of the main line displays. Currently they are all over the place, but I've been considering grouping them all back up on their own shelf. That of course will make me want to finish the set though.

While I do like the figures quite a lot I do feel that the general criticisms are fair and justified. That can also be said about the CW and TR lines. There are high points and low points in pretty much all the lines. Nothing will ever be perfect or you could say that no Transformer figure/line will ever make every and all fans happy.

At the time, I didn't see the outrage over the FOC/WFC line. When the "hollow thin monstrosities" came out was actually the moment I went hard into C/G collecting (Having skipped much before it). I really rather like Prime, and Bruticus (aside from Blast-off).

You know how it is on the internet, we only hear/remember the vocal ones.

Which Prime ya got? I got em both and like em both for different reasons. I never planned to get the newer mold, but I liked UM so much I went ahead and nabbed it. I like Linebacker Prime for being a more complex and fun figure to transform and Final Form Prime just as a fun figure that is easy to transform. Also who doesn't like a robot fist on wheels. I picked up the gen legend Bee (that came with helicopter weapon guy that is now in my extra weapons drawer) just to scale with the new mold Prime.

I'd like to get the FoC Ruination set (I think those are the only molds I'm missing), but them dollar monies are always tied up on other purchases or silly pre orders.

Anyone seen these crazy things yet?

No, I've still got all of them, but Jazz is the only one I have on display (unless you count Skywarp and the Grimlock from the AOE Silver Knight 2-pack).

I find their designs to be very cool and a lot of fun and they have a bit of a special place in my collectors heart because I played the WfC/FoC before I was into collecting TFs. With me, it was almost the opposite. I had the figures first, and I got the game because I liked the figures. Sadly, I haven't gotten to play for a while, since our PS3 was having issues and we got a PS4 last year for Christmas (and I don't really want to pay $50 for it).

While I do like the figures quite a lot I do feel that the general criticisms are fair and justified. That can also be said about the CW and TR lines. Also, I've got a question for you, Cram, and Cobo in particular. Do you guys have any Nendoroids, and if so, are they any good? I've been thinking of getting one, but I'd like to hear some opinions on them first.

Yes I have a couple. I have Link from Wind Waker and Mega Man. They are made/sold by the Good Smile Company, the same fine folks who handle the Figma line (which I have Samus Aran, which is amazing and also Link from Between Worlds which is equally amazing). So if you are familiar with the quality of the Figma line, just think that but chibi.

They are very high quality and come with multiple parts and accessories. Most come with more than one set of arms and legs and a few faces so you can recreate your favorite scenes. The paint apps are astonishing and just kill what even Takara does. They have a nice soft matte finish and are really pretty much just perfect. The only down side is they tend to be a little fiddly and make for better shelf displays than something you could play with (arms and such fall out fairly easily). Of course you also have to keep track of all their parts.

So in conclusion, yes they are awesome and well worth the price of admission. I've even heard good things about some of the KOs out there. I'm considering a KO of Mega Man in Metal Man colors and maybe a SW Storm Trooper ;)^

If I can remember I'd be happy to post a few pics of Link and Mega Man tonight next to a couple TFs for comparison.

I have the Wind Waker and Mega Man as well. If you're looking for either, they are both for sale from me! They just aren't my thing. I figured I'd give them a try, but I just can't do it.

That'd be nice, for a sense of scale.

The one I'm gonna try to get is Mei, my favorite character from Overwatch:

Ah dems Overwatches. The "kids" like that game don't they? I've seen some Overwatch fan art that has caught my eye a few times on the internet. ;)

I try to stay far away from that sort of thing. Don't want to see something that I won't be able to unsee.

I'm somewhat the same way (in fact, my main issue with Overwatch is that it has no singleplayer features), since a lot of my favorite games (like Mario Galaxy, Mario Odyssey and the Pokémon franchise) are single-player. Although, single-player and online multiplayer games are very good, but a good few of my favorite games are local multiplayer games like Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart. Some of my favorite memories have been spent playing those two games with my brother and my two best friends.

I'm specifically talking about online multiplayer. Couch Co-Op is the best type of multiplayer with couch competitive coming in a distant second.

I've been gaming for a very long time and for the most part I've always felt the multiplayer segment was a waste of development time and tacked awkwardly on. Way back most multiplayer were just a weak under developed competitive battle modes. There are always exceptions to the rules, Super Mario Kart (SNES) comes to mind where the 2 player game is exactly like the 1 player game. Some games like fighting games are better with other people. Some of the older hardware actually suffered when trying to do split screen multiplayer. The worlds would be significant less detailed, the game would run slower or the playable modes were very reduced.

It's just never been something that has appealed to me and then when online gaming came around I just ignored it. I'm not very competitive, so Co-op is the only thing that interests me and even then I like playing at my own pace. Even though I like the idea of a large world filled with other players, I've not enjoyed most of the games I've played online cooperatively with other people. Just their presence annoys me. See for me a big part of the experience is escapism.

[/rant], if anyone wants to fire up some 2 player SNES games, I'm in ;)^

I suppose that I should clarify; a tacked-on co-op mode (like the co-op mode in Mario Galaxy) isn't what I particularly enjoy, but rather games that were designed to be played by 2-4 people sitting on a couch, like SSB and Mario Kart. If I'm playing a story-driven game then I'd much rather have it be single player.

It's just never been something that has appealed to me and then when online gaming came around I just ignored it. I'm not very competitive, so Co-op is the only thing that interests me and even then I like playing at my own pace. I play online multiplayer less for the online part and more for the game itself. Take COD Black Ops 2 for instance. I played that game a lot (at my house and my friend's house), but I can only remember one time that I actually played the online mode. Most of the time, I played the campaign or the Zombies survival mode.

With Overwatch, sadly, the online mode is really the only thing you can do. There isn't a campaign mode (which is a shame, since it has the potential for an amazing story mode), or is there any PVE or that type of thing. I still enjoy the game because of all of the different characters, but it could definitely have more stuff.

Judging from these pictures, it looks like the Mei I'll be getting should be about the size of a Legends class (which is pretty nice, since I like that scale).

Thanks guys :x , I was pretty happy with the Hod Rod/Link and Mega Man vs Mindwipe pics. I've since spammed the HR/L pic in the AP&P thread and Instagram.

I forgot how much I like setting up shots and taking pics. I almost have my room back to a point where I can start taking pics again. Right now that couple of inches in front of a monitor is all the free space I have

Cary builds some ****

Postby no-one » Thu Nov 09, 2017 9:51 pm

So even though I still haven't finished my Gundam I picked up a Sprukit of LBX Hunter at Ross for $5 a few months ago. Over the last few days I've been working on the kit during my lunch break and just finished it up. Hunter is some kinda Robo-wolf from the LBX game series that I know next to nothing about. I enjoy these types of models and have been wanting to give the Sprukit line a chance. Most of what they carry isn't my bag so finding this wolf was a win. Funny story is that while I was building the kit I was getting a serious Gundam vibe. About halfway though I spied the Bandai logo on the instruction sheet. Derp! How bout some pics yo!
