Agreed, I use my Note 5. Though it seems to not be working properly lately...eh, probably just the lighting in my room.
There is quite a good bit you can't do with a cell phone well. The auto settings just get in the way, but for simple snaps they work fine. With the right lights you can push them pretty close to professional looking results.

Let me rephrase that "with some lights". Desk lights, led work lamps, colored lights. Anything that you can use to light up the subject really.

This was taken with a couple poopy $5 desk lamps. You just have to control the distance (brightness) and the angle. I was using my wife's nice camera though because of just how low the lighting actually was. Using some trickery to make the background go away. I can't remember the name of it though.

I just took a fun trip down photobucket lane. Such a shame. They really can suck it.

How are they not bankrupt? Are they at least losing a lot of money/users?

Thanks and about photochumbucket - I know right?!

I have the "hard" copies, but all my pics from the height of my photography adventures are there. I just don't have the energy to back track. I do plan on picking back up where I left off though and start upping my photog game again 8-)

There are some color changing LEDs with my name on them... :ic$: well ****

Kup Kup Kup.... I think he's my Hasbro toy of the year. I even got a second one for my work office

Topspin and Twintwist..... they're great toys don't get me wrong, and they have a huge following, but I think I'm incapable of getting excited for them. I don't even know what it is. Maybe because I had G1 Topspin and he was the most boring piece of plastic I owned as a child? An update to something I don't love might just leave me "meh" no matter how well it's done :-?

YES, KUP! He really is a super fun and posable figure. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bot mode is so clean you'd be forgiven for thinking it doesn't transform. I dig the Hasbro look over the Takara look. The bot looks better at the sacrifice of the alt-mode. Them rounded shoulders kill the side of the truck. If the Hasbro one had painted forearms he'd be damn near perfect. I also like the Has head over Tak's.

I despised the G1 Jumpstarters. Just so damn boring and dumb. I wanted more from my toys even as a dumb kid. The TR versions are really very good and easily some of the best deluxes of the line and it was a very strong line. They have a little kibble and bits on the shoulders, but I'm digging it. I don't seem to mind **** hanging off the bots anymore. They're just not as clean as Kup. He really set a high benchmark. The new Jumpstarters have redeemed themselves. I mean they are deluxes with forearm panes to hide the parts. They could have just as easily left them hollow/panel-less. So both the arms and the legs have panels that completely cover the inside of the limbs. That's just awesome.

They are a couple of tough thugs that I can't wait to take pics of. I got a little project in mind for them already ;)^

Kup and the Jumpstarters, easily some of the best figures of the line. Kup is loads of fun, and I love his guns as a jetpack! And the transformation is the best part with him to me!

And the jumpstarters are really cool too. Topspin is my favorite of the 2, but they are both really good, and look great on my Wreckers shelf

Glad you noticed jetpack mode. I went caption free and was wondering if anyone picked up what I was putting down. The TF is great and so is the posability.

That's where mine are going, once I find a larger area for them all. My Wrecker crew has grown quite a good bit.

For us IDW folk, let's talk Wreckers. I've got a bit of a dilemma. I'm pairing down my collection to not have dupes (with-in reason) so what's the best Wrecker crew? Trying to decide between Gen Kup and TR Kup; Gen Perceptor, TR Perceptor and Mugan Scope; Gen Blurr and TR Blurr. This may be their last stand or my final sin ;)

Others I have include: Gen Whirl, Gen Roadbuster, Gen Springer, Gen Sandstorm, Gen Scoop (he's a Wrecker right?). Who are some other good Wreckers we have available in plastic form that I've forgotten about?

Their gerwalk is delicious.

I like the color of Tak Kup, but I don't like the face or the shoulder retooling. The shoulders look good in bot mode, but kinda funk up the alt-mode. I do wish Has painted his forearms though [-(

I think all of the Wreckers are available in some shape or form in the last few lines, right? Just not the ones we want or "readily" available (TFCC exclusives and such). That TFCC CW Impactor looked great. As for Wreckers shelf..I think the older designs for Perceptor and Blurr and since you have the upgraded head for Kup I'd go with that one too. Why not? I really wish I had that upgrade. He looks so whiny otherwise

That iGear head upgrade is goats awesome. Of course I'm using the cy-gar version. I like that figure a lot and I like his old busted down alt-mode. I will probably go the Prime Kup route and make TR Kup background Autobot #2 ;)^

as you know outside of having a "neo g1" collection, I just like cool toys

Also, Tak's face is the same raisin face as the gen figure :-x

Forearms all day!! That's where I wanted my Autobot and Decepticon (one per side, maybe some circuitry/metal around it) tattoos that I never got. I figured, if I was gonna get something, might as well make it noticeable

I like the iGear head and the Takara Legends head, I don't like the Generations or TR

Alright Cary, let's talk Wreckers.

*Takes a minute to go take a picture of his current wreckers shelf to use on here*

Image

Now let me start off my saying this is not my definitive Wreckers shelf. Some guys just ended up there because of space and others didn't make it for the same reason.

Now the backbone of my wreckers are the voyagers. T30 Springer, Sandstorm, Whirl, and Roadbuster all stand there, as does TR Broadside. TR Kup, Topspin, and Twintwist for the moment fill in the deluxe spot, while the FoC Ruination stands tall behind them. Roadburn kinda ended up there.

As I only have the TR Perceptor, he will stay with the LL crew (who are all pretty spread out right now because shelf space), and Whirl may go back there too since he is part of the combiner and I prefer him as part of LL. Your generations or Mulgan(can't remember how to spell it and don't wanna look) will go good with the wreckers though! Scoop is a good choice, though I intend to keep him in the Autobot shelf for the moment, but he will work as a Wrecker when I get the space. Blurr, the generations one may be the best fit for Wrecker material, the the TR/Legends one for another spot.

As for Kup, it is tough, but you could use the Generations one for the Wreckers with his hardened look and the TR one for a 86 movie shelf with TR Blurr

Yeah, I do have the Impactor ragrets. Very unlikely we'll see a mainline release of that figure. Wasn't he a Re-Rook-deco?

Come on man, name drop some bots for me to want? I'm not as well versed in IDW as I like to pretend :-$

Ah, Broadside. I forgot about him. I just don't have the space for him with the rest of the crew. Thanks.

So I've got a pretty close to complete set then.

I agree on pretty much all that. Gen Blurr is very close to the comic design, as is Mugan Scope. I agree with you and Cram about Gen Kup, he just looks battle worn (especially with the head upgrade). Again TR Kup will probably just become a generic Autobot.

I believe Scoop was a Wrecker at one point.

I wouldn't mind Ruination and even in the WFC molds. I think there are quite a lot of the misc crew represented in 3P land. There was a pretty niffty Ironfist/Fisitron out there at some point. I was a little too late on that one, kinda short and cute if I remember correctly. That's what all Wreckers strive for right? To be called cute?

Also this image makes my phone lock screen quite often.

On a side note: I've kinda abandoned the idea of a permanent LL crew display. I'll just set up temporary LL displays to enjoy and take pics.

Ah yes Ironfist. I do need him and the rest of the Last Stand crew. Pyro and Rotorstorm need new toys, and I need to hunt down the DotM Guzzle that looks a lot like his LSotW body.

Scoop was a Wrecker once yes, early IDW days.

And I do love the cover

Yes, Pyro and Rotorstrom! Seems Uncle Has is hell bent on re-releasing all the characters, just bide your time.

I remember seeing that Guzzle now. Yes, very LSotW... except that damn derpy squinched alien bug butt face. I think that's the worst part of the movie figs, the faces, them butt ugly faces. I was looking at Evo Prime last night bemoaning a 3P head swap never happened. I only got him because he was an over cab design and honestly quite a nice figure, but that face, that lip having face :-x

I need to find what ever special ed. has the masked face and do a head swap. ;)^

That cover, that was Sarah Stone right? Does she still do TF comics? I really liked her art.

Takara Legends Kup has his merits, but he (and Hotrod too actually) left me kinda empty. No feels. I loved the colors and new head, but the gap producing remolds weren't worth it. Hasbro's Kup just feels more fun.

The new Targetmasters though are pretty damn awesome. If not slightly oversized... dudes have a hard time holding them up

I'd like to seem all the Legends Targetmasters released as set(s). Maybe like the set of US heads that Takara released. It's be nice to just have them. But there was no way I was paying that premium.

Bummer the Tak Legends guys didn't do it for ya. Overall they seem to have nice deco's but non of them screamed buy them instead of the domestic releases.
