Surely you knew it was too good to be true?
I didnt expect it to come out BEFORE the states, it did expect it to come out at the same time though.
And we have had non BBC movies come out over here before you guys. Its rare but it has happened.
Jane Austen movies don't count!
They count as a blessing, though. Period dramas are about the only thing the BBC can do right, and even then they mess up sometimes.
It's only just that we get this on July 4th, I say.
There you are.
I just sat through The Importance of Being Earnest with Firth over the weekend with the wife again. I thought the new Pride and Prejudice was more enjoyable, although I think I liked Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoniette better (different countries of course, same genre). I also saw Notes on a Scandal... Dench again... don't you have any other actresses?
None were quite as engaging as an episode of Two Pints and a Packet of Crisps, but one can't expect miracles.
