Psychout wrote:2 other quick questions though: Is the holomatter/avatar tech limited to Autobots only or can the 'cons duplicate and equip it as well, and if I assume changing/updating an altmode requires a medical/engineering procedure and not just movie-type 'scanning' ala Bayformers, would I be right?

The first part of your question is a good one. I had to do a bit of searching and this is what I found: "Holomatter can be detected by devices called holomatter readers. Both sides regularly equip their bases with these devices. The avatars do have a limited range, and the further it gets from its controller the more energy it takes to keep it functioning."

Based on the bolded portion of that quote, I'm assuming that both sides utilize holomatter avatars since both sides also use holomatter readers to detect them.

And for the next part of your question: The only medical assistance required for updating/changing an alt mode would be to ensure that the Transformer is relatively the same size of the intended alt mode chosen.

If the Transformer is sized appropriately than acquiring said mode would be to simply scan the vehicle(or whatever is intended to be used) and take on the form.

Hope that helps.

That's brilliant Ember, thank you. The avatar thing will come in handy, especially as they can be solid.

I would assume the land/air/space distinction remains though. A ground based character (eg a Stunticon) couldn't reformat as a helicopter or jet without drastic alterations, correct?

The characters from Armada except one that is very important to me! coughsidewayscough

I actually have been working on him, and I think I have him down.

One version is he has DPD (Dual Personality Disorder) and his alternate self manifests itself in mirrors and such. I never got over Heroes.

The other version is where he is a psychotic maniac who only seeks to destroy both sides so the war can be over with no victor. As, in his eyes, there must be in every war.

Ugh. How much I would like to play him.

Anyway, wouldn't it be unwise to fly on LV-117? Creatures literally leap from the trees and snatch things out of the air. Hm. Maybe I should post that...

Ummm, let's see here. That would be a no, no and why?

I wasn't serious. I just have him for the LOLZ.

Wouldn't they, though? I mean, if LV-117 is as volatile as it seems and some of the creatures fly, wouldn't things in the trees leap up and snatch things out of the air?

I remember watching an animal TV show, it had some lizards leaping into the air and snatching some insects on their way down. Perhaps like this? It would also make the taking off of a shuttle interesting.

Just some thoughts.

Well now. In that case, don't forget about that glamorous, streamlined, perfectly polished mech known as Knockout!

Meh, Knockouts a mechanic.
When we need some wheel's balancing or a steering column fixed, we'll call him ;)

Serious question this time: is he based on the TF:Prime knockout character? I've not kept up on it (being in the UK and all :BOOM: ) and only found he existed via the news article about his toy yesterday...

Must admit, I do like the blending of genres in this game - Animated, Prime and Armada all in a G1-esque universe. Just wish I had the time for more characters.

(EDIT: Tell ya what Em, Knockout can do the chassis, Mal will alter Con's 'internals' and Baneblade has to play whatever we come up with... )

I like it! MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Prepare to be gussied up!

don't make me drop large rusted hulks you both your afts!

Havok isn't a damned preener like Starscream, or Knockout, I mean spit dust on knockout and he'll have a damned fit! Havok's an offroad/4x4 configured Humvee H1 in a gunmetal colour. Plus he's as foul mouthed as he is foul tempered (very)

but yes, knockout can make the body work, and the off-road configurations, and Mal will do the dirty work

I am announcing my return, sorry all. it's been hell. First we lost one computer and since both of them are my wife's she has first pic. Then we had issues with keeping our cable for a while...and when I go and tell Sid I'm coming back a month ago, I get a third degree burn on my right hand by a coffee machine who might be a reject from the appliance mob from ROTF. It's healed enough so I can type so...I am back. Give me some time, we're still down that computer and we got company in house for a week so catch up will be slow.

Hey Psych. How's things with you?

As for my guys...who is free?

I had as I recall:

That ice seeker you guys made
The G2 Cyberjets (Skyjack, Hooligan and Space Case)
Horri-Bull
Highbrow
and I'm not sure if that's it...it's been some time.

EDIT:

I also had Dead End.

I think they all are. I currently have Dead End. Breakdown appears to be the Stuntie in need of a permanent home now, according to the char list. Ember will confirm. She's been dabbling with both here recently.

If I have reasonable assurances that you'll give him the attention he needs, I suppose I could be persuaded to toss Dead End over and take Breakdown full-time instead.

Ehh, not a big loss with Dead End.

I'd be content with just the Cyberjet's truth be told. Maybe Highbrow too as I like where he was going. The rest...ehhh...

Alright.

Though where would you recommend the Cyberjet's go?

Given hints I think Skyjack'd thrive with Shockwave...but would the old old one, two horned flying purple people shooter tolerate Space Case and Hooligan? They are kind of a package deal as far as Jack's concerned. They are his meat shi...eer...close friends.

With everyone just after Megatron was seemingly killed when that base on Earth blew up way back when. Last thing thy did is watch Dead End pick that fight with Ramjet i think in the med bay.

Sounds like they would have evac-ed to the Ultrax. That's the impression I got from the last post of theirs that I found in the HQ thread, unless they just went off in to the air, in which case they'd probably be in the Korean area with some other 'Cons.

If they want to find their way to Shockwave eventually, I'm sure that can be worked on in-game. Just can't believably happen right off. Get comfortable. Enjoy the 'Con politicking. The muse may shift ;)
