I am sorry for my absence! Cas called me today and let me know I am missed!

Things got really busy with life and, if course Earth Wars (had a big event that took me forever to get the alliance ready for!)

But things are going to be busy until after the New Year. Between the holidays and expecting another Leaderboard event before the end of the year probably.

So I'm going to get Acid and the Rainmakers moving to the ship so where they can just be ready for anything that happens.

Now, I have 3 characters in the RP. 2 in the Convergence thread and 1 in the Thanatos thread. In this way, I spread myself out a bit.

In terms of your suggestions, they are valid and I could break away from ctrlfrequency's characters but she has a character that is pretty tied to my two. If I had my characters break away from Acid Storm, then their main ability is essentially gone; they create acid rain together if it ever needs to happen in the RP. So, I opted to apply for Nacelle, who is canon. I figured to put him in a different thread from my other two seekers.

So, Patchwork, an Autobot duct tape medic has been approved and I've been told one possible place where he could be of use is the Kol System and Thunderclash' crew. Any pointer to that direction and/or players active in that area? Sorry, new here.

Kol is here. I'd recommend reading the last five or so pages at the very least, but to recap: The Nemesis, under Skyquake's command, is acting weird, malfunctioning and speaking to those on board (pretty sure I know who's doing the talking and whatnot). A group of Autobots have escaped the ship in shuttles and have just by hyperdrived away. Your character would be on one of those shuttles. Since your guy is a doc, he'd be quite useful to the injured. Hope this helped!

Well, just make sure to have the location at the top in bold, but rest should be relatively self explanatory. If you're quoting someone else, I would either put it in italics or use

Replace the Name and text respectively. If you're putting a comm-link (i.e. Radioing someone else) you would put italics and a >><< before and after. If you have multiple characters in the same area, but different places, some members like to use faction symbols with an arrow. If you're mentioning someone else's character, bold their name so they know if they need to respond. Otherwise, if you don't need them to respond, leave it as it is.

Here's a little sample. I just whipped this up as an example.

Acid Storm has been posted for to get the Rainmakers in the air (pun intended)

Also, going forward, Cas has permission to move/dialog/action Acid Storm whenever need because I did this:

to hubby's baby on Wednesday. (I wasn't hurt, even though the other driver hit me hard and I was practically stopped) and have had all my time taken up by insurance adjusters. First accident in over 20 years :-(

In terms of playing Acid Storm, I can certainly play him since I have been since...2011 (other than on this board). So, he should not be a problem to do.

As for your husband's car, ouch. The car looks like it took quite the hit. I am just happy that you are fine and well. Hopefully, the car gets repaired soon.

Thanks Cas. Yeah hopefully it will be soon. Because, fortunately, we now have 2 cars (we just got his baby in July to have a second car) that means he is driving around my Soundwave! Not that I NEED the car most of the time... But he doesn't treat Soundwave nearly as well as I do.. (I had to clean out my car yesterday because of him.. damn messy man)

Gotta admit that, now that I have a character approved, this whole thing does seem a bit..intimidating to get into. Especially since I don't want to do something wrong by accident.

Every time I’ve joined an rpg, it’s tough to get rolling, and I’ve done this for a while. It still is. It’s the nature of the beast, I think.

Now that you’ve got a character approved, an idea of what thread you want to start in and some advice on how to get rolling, the best thing to do is dive in. If you mess anything up, it’s not serious. You can edit. And eventually you’ll get your flow and find your footing if you stick with it and treat people nicely. No reason to believe you won’t, mind you. Everyone gets the benefit of the doubt to begin with. Good attitude will overcome a multitude of errors.

So in your situation, I would just have your character ask the others on the shuttle who’s the most critically injured. Some character will likely speak up and it will roll from there.

I do have much experience with roleplay, be it in person or PbP it's just...this is a big game which has been ongoing for years now with a lot of people playing a lot of characters. Mildly overwhelming, I suppose? Its a little hard to get in and not feel like some weirdo who barged in the place.

That will go away once you start to interact with some characters and feel like you’re making your own contribution, along with everybody else.

There are a number of us who will help in a lot of different ways to help someone new find their niche. I enjoy writing with people who I’ve known for years (I’ve known a few since 2003) and people who’ve just applied. The variety keeps my skills sharp.

Oh, very minor question: I'd assume a character who is in such location mean he's never been on Earth and thus never acquired an earth alternate mode, correct?

I’d say that’s a safe assumption. Earth is only a very recent battlefront in the 4 million years these robots have been warring.

You're fine.

I would just try what I mentioned above.

Basically, once we see what you toss up for your first post, we can see what to tinker with to make it fit. And that might be nothing at all, then you just wait for your reply

If there's some specific information you need, I'm happy to answer questions, but in terms of general pointers, I think we've covered most of 'em.

Hey Skritz! What's crackin'?

I know Smokes already had Roadrage call for attention at Hoven, and Boss is losing consciousness currently of course. You can choose whomever you want to work on first, or even how much time passes between Patchy's repair of Roadrage and noticing Boss. So it's all up to you.

Anyways, hope ya have fun! As long as you're better at playing than I was when I first joined (which obviously is the case), you're in great shape! I was horrible, and I'm still floating around here, so ya know. :lol:

Hey, I just wanted to let you all know that I'll be out of town for 2-3 weeks from the 10th onward. I don't know if I'll have internet access, so if you need replying to a character of mine, you can push them along if need be (don't go crazy with them though, haha).
