Autobot insignia should be in middle of steering wheel too.

I've been saying for years that they need to put the :BOT: on the steering wheel. It would make it sooo much more official!

the logo on the steering wheel WOULD be cool, but is it shown to be on the newer model cammaro anywere in the movies? I only saw the steering wheel on the old one. I wish that they would release a sideswipe, but seeing as how he's one of like, what was it, two or three of his kind on planet earth because he's so damn customized? :???: IDK What I'm talking 'bout I'm like half asleep, but hey, I heard the sideswipe thing somewere....
now were was I..... I-)

I'm disappointed in this for selfish reasons. I have the 2010 Special Edition and I love it. Not only will I be jealous of it, but it feel like it will de-value mine. Don't get me wrong, I'm keeping mine for probably the rest of my life, so selling isn't an issue. I just like that there are only around 1,500 of them and this is just adding to the total even though it's different.

This sounds like fun, but I wonder if it's a new correct shade of yellow, or the previous not-quite-orange-enough shade. Also needs a body kit like Bee's; maybe the aftermarket will come through on that.

I hate GM for killing Pontiac, they could have made a Jazz version of the Solstice. We need a fist-shaking smiley.

The 'vette Sideswipe was based off of in ROTF was a one-off concept car, not a production model like Bumblebee. DOTM Sideswipe is some hideous bastardization of the concept 'vette. The chopped the roof and put a ricey spoiler on the bad.

At the moment Sideswipe is one off, but they are basing the next generation corvette on on Sideswipe's stingray concept mode. So soon enough, you will be able to have a Sideswipe "clone", or at least one close to it.

Someone also meantioned about BB it being the wrong shade of yellow. Yup, i doubt they are going to release BB in the correct movie shade of yellow, as that was a special paint job that cost upwards of $4K. Not to many people would be willing to pay that, on top of the extra $1,500 for the TF edition. Just eaiser to offer it in the factory rally yellow.

Dude, its a new car. If you want a collectible car, invest in a 1969 Camaro or something around that time era.

So what's the cost on this? I don't know how, but I'm going to try and get it.

Also, will it be available in automatic? I can't drive manual. (I know, I suck)

While I agree with Rated X I'll also say that you can take solace in the fact that since yours is older than the 2012 special edition, it will likely hold value longer and better than the newest run. It won't be valued as much as the first limited edition 2007 run but let's face it, most folks getting this car aren't getting it for resale value, they are die-hard fans who want to get and keep a kick-ass tribute piece to an iconic franchise. It doesn't matter what year the car is, you roll by in "Bumblebee" and every fan-boy will want to be you and every fan-girl will want to jump in the back seat with you.

hmmmmm....hey, can I borrow your car Saturday night? :P 8-}

Good points, both. I'll love my car no matter what.

Borrow it? Hell, I barely let myself drive it! 8)

I think the TF kit was about an extra thousand bucks or so on the past models, but don't quote me on that. And dude, learn stick if you get this car!! I have the six speed and it is very, very fun and would actually be pretty easy for a beginner. Very forgiving shifter and smooth. Plus more hp.

During a Camaro meet up I met a guy that did some work outside of the typical package. Got a big black Autobot insignia on the hood, stitching on the leather console, couple other touches. I'd like to get the split stripes added to mine.

Remember the Transformers Special Edition Camaro that was announced back in June? Back then we only had mock ups to drool over, now thanks to the Camaro5 forums and Faces of GM have images and video of the actual vehicle. The Transformers Special Edition Camaro is due to hit dealerships next month.

It’s the little details — like Cybertronian symbols spelling “Transformers” on the spoiler, Autobot logos on the wheel caps and front quarter panel and an awesome interior with black leather seats and bright yellow stitching — that give this Chevrolet extra attitude.

“When you see this car,” says Barry, “you’re not going to think it’s a car, you’re going to think it is Bumblebee… and you’re going to be looking around for the other Autobots. How cool is that?” Plus, if any Decepticons show up, you’ll be able to handle them

I love F bodies (Camaros and Firebirds) I have owned one or the other since I was 17. I'm 32 now. My Seibertron name ends with 98ss, which is what I was driving at the time I made my name. I just can't get into this one though. The stripes are to far apart the wing is very 2000 ricer and the black rims are to bland (the autobot symbol in the middle is a nice touch though)

The last Bumblebee looked great. I would have to pass on this one. :-(

I would rather have that black 1959 Impala sitting behind the Camaro if I had a choice of cars. Camaros are cool, but since there are so many of them around, they are kind of played out. How come Pontiac never made a special edition Jazz Solstice ???

Rated X wrote:How come Pontiac never made a special edition Jazz Solstice ???

I wondered that as well.

I guess they never really had time, as they have been shut down for the past few years. The latest model coup Solstice was a great looking car. They always reminded me of a Lotus Elise... =P~

Don't feel too bad...this version sucks by comparison. I mean, I'd take one if is was given to me, but I wouldn't even consider buying one of these. The other version, the thought at least crossed my mind at one point.

Sorry, but this Camaro ain't nothing special to me. Solely because on the way into work five days a week I see a specialized Camaro like none other. It's basically this one, but a dark grey w/black paint job, a very 'Knight Rider' Kit treatment on the hood with the back & forth red lighting, a Decepticon symbol on the back and the Barricade movie phrase "To punish & enslave.." motto on the sides. If I can snap some pics or vid of this thing at any time on the way into work I will, but not having an accident has always been more important to me. Been looking for a pic or two of this DFW-area thing online to share for ages, but no luck so far. THAT car is worlds better than this thing.

Why won't GM restart the manufacturing of Firebirds? It was always the better-looking of the 2, and if they could do this to Camaros, how awesome would new Firebirds look?

We've known about the 2012 Transformers Special Edition Camaro for a while, but it now has an official product page on the Chevrolet website complete with a photo gallery highlighting it's special features. Click here to visit the 2012 Transformers Special Edition Camaro page for the full run down.

Just as the "Transformers" movies have become a blockbuster series, the Camaro Transformers editions are now an iconic series in their own right. In conjunction with the summer 2011 release of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," Chevrolet announced the 2012 Transformers Special Edition. Offered on the top two trim levels — 2LT and 2SS — the 2012 Transformers edition only improves upon the already immensely popular 2010 model.

The 2012 Transformers look starts with a stripe design consistent with the actual "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" Bumblebee model: Rally Yellow exterior paint with exclusive Carbon-Fiber-like Weave rally stripes that travel on each side of the hood bulge, roof, decklid and spoiler. In addition, this model also includes side gill decal stripes, a look borrowed from the iconic 2011 Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica.
