AWESOME! Mach Kick looks amazing, Cobbes -- Link looks great on him. ;)^

On the weird factor, how does he compare to Longrack? iirc, I saw you had him in the Cobo-collection already -- this'll help me prioritize the next hunt. ;)

I'm also hoping KP isn't the new G1 Bludgeon for me on this BeastQuest.....

Oh Longrack is the better figure, by far. They are both kibble fests, Longrack wears it better and is just a great design. I would prioritize the giraffe 1st for sure.

I also hope this for you. He is the best, and I hope you can find him within reason.

And thanks for the inspirato to seek out Mach Kick. He was missing from my herd for far too long.

Agreed :D I love my Longrack! I'm still wondering why they made the feature with the tongue and his pupil, though XD Does yours do that, Cobo? Cracks me up every time. For how top heavy he is, he's pretty poseable, too.

Of course! I love that silly feature. I assume the tongue is just because giraffes have that crazy opposable tongue they can use to pull leaves off of trees. The eye thing, I'm not sure. The leaves are so delicious that his eyes roll in his head with ecstasy?

Wingz wrote:And grats on Mach Kick! :D That picture with Link is just awesome!
Thanks, and we like to have silly fun here in the Tron. If a mode has four legs, you can bet somebody will ride it! 8-}

OK! Mach Kick. Robot Mode. GO!

Image

If you are one of those folks who can't handle beast heads as hands, then you're in the wrong place.
I'm digging this robot mode. One cool thing about a bunch of the Beast Wars Neo figs is they have these subtle little design ques to different ancient civilizations and they loosely correlate to a region of the earth they were found historically. For example: Saberback, a stegosaurus, has kind of a Native American vibe, and Archadis, an arcapectrix, in his South American sarape. I feel like Mach Kick is putting off an ancient Asia vibe. Maybe Chinese or Mongolian. Maybe even Korean? I need to do a little homework, but I know I've seen a helmet with a face guard and long horse hair top knot like his on an Asian Warrior of old. Also his curled up pointy little shoes.

Image

But yeah, robot mode is cool. Crazy articulation due to some funky transformation needs. He has a ball jointed midriff for intense fat burning ab crunches. He has a neat design if not weird as hell, and yes, a ton of weird beast kibble, but I've learned to accept it with these Beast Era toys. I mean, he has a giant horse's ass hanging off his shoulder, and I find it thoroughly entertaining! :P

And then there's this ridiculous play gimmick.

I was wondering if you were going to show that  so entertaining! I've always realized it was a horse's ass on his shoulder, too, but never really thought about it until just now. I mean, if you're going to be ramming things with your shoulder, what better design? XD

Regarding the history, I never realized Corahda (cobra) was such a cowboy until I got the toy. I always thought it was just a strangely shaped helm. Nope! Definitely a cowboy

There was once upon a Geewunner-time I woulda said no to beast-head arms and horse-ass pauldrons, but no more! I really like the call-out regarding some of the Beast Wars Neo detailing on the figures. I especially see it with Airraptor/Archadis, and with Mach Kick.

Thanks for the pics, Cobo! ;)^

@ Wangz - I was thinking Corahda had a cowboy vibe, but you know, there's no cobras in North America. If he were a rattle snake then for sure. I don't have that toy (need it!) so I can't speak from experience, but looking at the Seib galleries, the hat and the smirk scream, "HOWDY PARTNER!".

Yea, he's definitely a king cobra, but his robot mode (lasso'n'all!) just screams cowboy. XD Possibly a cultural/geographical mis-perception, but I'd bet money that it's what they were aiming for.

You don't have the toy? The toy is so much fun. The gun even doubles as a water gun (you actually fill it and squirt water. Seriously). Doing this with him in turret mode is just hilarious

Yeah. You should. He comes packed with Saber Back right? That steggy is super cool. He has a goofy weapon but his transformation is really cool, and bot mode is dope with that Indian Chief headdress.

Or, wait. Does he come packed with Arcadis? :(

Sooooooooo. moving on to other pastures.

Takara Legends Autobot Clones.
Image
Along side their G1 forbearers.

I really like these guys. Simple n' fun. Always liked the Clones and the novelty/gimmick of sharing bot modes. I'm not overly thrilled with this Takara deco. It's kinda ugly with that soft tissue intestinal pink. I would have prefered the Hasbro toy deco, but it's worth the convenience of Takaras's two-pack to not have to hunt them down at inflated prices, or buy the entire box sets they came in.

Hey old men. give us dose dang sweet G1y way-pons!
Image

Image

I always liked there space aged alt modes. A tad simple, and a tad derp stix, but fun anyway.

It didn't even occur to me until I put them side by side, that Fastlane has those front wheels, unlike the G1 who has a little tricycle wheel hidden under his front end.

Hiya Billy!!!! :KREMZEEK:
Welcome back!

I have tried all modes. I think.
I do like walking fortress with the cockpit head. Reminds me of an old 80's robot series I had toys of called Dugram. But, my fave is robot mode with the torso spun 180 and the little moon buggy plugged in the chest. Don't think I have a photo of it. Don't even think it's an official mode. It's essentially fortress mode with the robot head up and turned around.

REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY GREAT TOY!!!!!!

Pelase take a pic of that fan mode when you can so that I can reproduce it if ever I get one of my own (a KO of course muahahahaha). Although I would wait for the release of the articulated hands version. I think what Interests me most aside from robot mode are the legs that can connect as trucks in various blocky ways. It looks just like the Return of convoy micromaster trucks.

And now I realize after searching online that no one has ever taken a pic of all those little microtrailers combined together. Anyways, the point is it is super similar.
