I'm just rewatching the Key to Vector Sigma parts 1 and 2, and, Cullen sounds exactly like he does in the *live action* Movie...

And yet, I remember a few months ago remarking that Cullen's voice sounded starkly different to the cartoon voice.

Either it's tinitus from continually pressing the phrase buttons on the voice changers in Tescos, or the Nero Surround mix, or...

Magical things are happening, and somehow transwarp technology is being used to layer a new voice dub by Venger, errrr...

Cullen...

Jebus, was Cullen Venger too?!?

Him and Welker really did voice EVERYTHING in the 80s...

My friends were watching D&D and I was in the kitchen thinking they were watching some episode of Transformers where Prime turns nasty or something, I go into the front room to see the voice of one of my heroes coming out of the mouth of let's face it...

Satan!

The thing I don't get is they say Welker was too old to voice Megatron, yet he's still voicing that young fella from Scooby Doo?

I think it's because he bluffed and asked for a ridiculous fee...

Still at least he got the game. eh?

He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

I noticed that early in G1, Cullen's Optimus Prime voice was not quite as deep as it is now. As one gets closer to the 86 movie, it became closer to what it is now. In a few episodes that came out just barely before the movie, I was like this sounds the same as the new movie, but then I listened carefully, and it was just off by a tick.

I think you're right.

Post movie Cullen is the best though.

Everytime I hear:

"Yes Sky-Lynx and this time no force in the universe can stop me!"

I get a quaint little spine rush of pure *Joy!*

LOL! wtf! its like ripping of so many things, Alpha Trion?!! Azeroth?! (world of warcraft)

LOL but yes, cullens voice sticks out.

In "Coop D'Etat", Zanzor and Guyvan resemble Mazinger Z and Raideen. They are also voiced respectively by veteran voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, who performed mortal enemies Optimus Prime and Megatron in the original Transformers series.

Venger kicks ass. Look at my avatar, no I didn't make it just found it on a DnD toon site. Another Megas XLR fan right here. That show so needs to be available on dvd. Any show that has Bruce Campbell(as Magnanimous ) appearing in it gives it cred. on the thread name dude. ;)^

Well, the title of the thread is good, but shouldn't ventures be 'Vengers' and then it would really be spot on?

Just wondering, but why is Cullen and Welker standing in front of a wall of TMNT animation cels? I don't recall them voicing any of the characters in the old TMNT toon :-? But I was born after the TMNT was popular

Cullen was in TMNT. Not sure about Welker though. Might be best to check his website.

They have been... in fact they've been in the same body!

In 'Go-Bots: Challenge of the Rock Lords', guess which two actors voiced Sticks & Stones..? ;)
