Autobase Nu - Command Center

Leaving Archangel in the capable hand actuators of Minerva and the rest of the medical staff, Kup departed the Med Bay and headed forthwith to the Command Center. Upon entering, he saluted Prowl and gave Gears a nod of acknowledgment as well. He had heard the last bit of Prowl's talking to Gears, and none of what the strategist had said sounded positive. Ambush on the moon? Tagon fell? Omega Supreme pulled back? Hmm. Just like that. Momentum shifted again.

"Reporting, Prowl," he announced with little formality. "Several friendly casualties, no enemy. Clench and his slaggers fell back, right on cue, I'm sure. They could've made it uglier if they'd wanted to, so I'm guessing mission accomplished for them."

He frowned and crossed his arms over his chestplate. "So clear even Sludge could figure this one out. We've been duped, and good...thanks to me, especially."

Kup barely restrained the urge to put his fist through the nearest monitor.

Autobase Nu - Command Center

Prowl's focus quickly shifted from Gears to Kup as the latter entered the control room and made his succinct report. Though terse, it was sufficiently informative, for the moment--more details could be gleaned later by checking on the status reports from the Repair Bay. Besides, it looked as though the old warrior were just about ready to take out his frustration at the Autobots' recent string of concurrent misfortunes on the nearest inanimate object that came to hand.

While that was certainly better than exorcising his anger upon the carapace of one of his comrades, as was the habit of some Transformers, ultimately it was certain to prove counterproductive. Particularly now, when they needed their equipment all in more or less working order.

"That has yet to be determined, Kup," Prowl returned concisely. "Moreover, establishing culpability in this matter is, at best, a tertiary concern. Far more critical is the fortification of Nova Cronum against further Decepticon incursion and coordinating with Iacon to maximize the effectiveness of whatever counter-strategy Optimus Prime and the rest of the High Council devise."

Provided Prime still functioned, of course. But that particular worst case scenario was going to have to wait until after he had seen to the security of the city-state.

"The Decepticons have achieved a series of successes within the last cycle, it's true. But now they will need to consolidate their newly-gained acquisitions, repair, and replenish their fuel reserves. Granted, that will be a great deal easier now that they control the Heights, but with their losses in Polyhex and the inevitable strain of initiating such a widespread offensive to consider, it seems improbable that they will appear on our doorstep or at the Hub Capital any time soon."

Prowl then received Omega Supreme's call for landing instructions. His response was clipped, but it seemed unlikely that the laconic Guardian would take any umbrage at the forgoing of the usual niceties.

>>Omega Supreme, you are cleared for docking at the Sirpicus Launch. I'll dispatch repair personnel to your location just as soon as they complete their present duties. Welcome home.<<

Autobase Nu ~ Medbay

"Huh? What?" Orpheus muttered as he heard his name mentioned by Minerva in relation to helping out with repairs "..Wait, I don't know if.." He began, before Brewer asked him to assist in Wheelbar's recovery. Even though he wasn't required to actually help with the major repairs, the young Warrior looked down to the incapacitated 'Bot, still unsure of what to do. He was clumsy enough when he was fully functional, what damage might he do with only 1 functional arm?

Looking to Brewer, Orpheus struggled to articulate his worries "I..Uh, OK.." Was about all he could put together, before he took a step closer to the table and began looking over Wheelbar for bits of armor that had been rendered useless, quickly finding a few smaller bits that were easily removed "I hope I'm doing this right" Orpheus thought to himself, more than a little nervous.

Autobase Nu ~ Corridors

As he and Springer entered the base, both heading towards the Medbay, each for different reasons, Silverbolt could feel that something really wasn't quite right with his body. As he walked, his vision kept going momentarily blurry, and he periodically lost some feeling on his right side, most likely from the wound inflicted on him by Weirdwolf's bite.

Shrugging off the feelings once more, Silverbolt turned to Springer, the Wrecker Commander quite selflessly had stayed with him all the way back from the Rust Sea, something that couldn't be let go unthanked "Hey Springer, thanks for sticking with me on the journey back.." The Aerialbot Commander patted the Wrecker on the shoulder, as he felt his right side weaken again, still ignoring it, he continued speaking "..If you want to head off up to the Command Center and report to Prowl, I should be able to make it t..."

Silverbolt's sentence was cut short as his right leg buckled under him, his left arm gripping at Springer's shoulder as he slumped to the ground, his optics dimming quite drastically, before brightening again moments later, leaving him staring up at the corridor ceiling and Springer, trying to work out what the pit was going on.

Autobase Nu ~ Medbay

Sub-Zero nodded absently to Minerva’s order.

“Yeah the door.”

He looked at Forte then followed her. Shaking his head he tried to clear his thoughts. He was a soldier, he needed to show strength not weakness. Standing straighter he stopped at Forte’s shoulder.

“Did I ever mention how much I don’t like war?”

He was making idle conversation with the fembot, but it was better than stewing over anxieties.

Springer walked at Silverbolt’s pace. In the middle of their conversation Silverbolt collapsed his knees hitting the floor. The Wrecker steadied himself as Silverbolts weight went down. Springer gritted his teeth as he watched his fellow bot’s optics dim. This was not good something was severely wrong. Kup and Prowl could wait.

“Hold on buddy I’ve got you.”

The triplechanger shouldered the aerialbot leader. Taking care not to injure him more he lifted Silverbolt to his feet. Springer assisted him to an empty table, hoisting Silverbolt up.

“Lay down, I’ll go get Brewer

Springer also decided he would contact Skydive. Being a team leader himself he understood how important it would be for the Aerial bots to know about Silverbolt.

Brewer, I just brought Silverbolt in. He was walking just dandy when he suddenly went down just inside the doorway. ….. “

Springer paused, looking around the med bay was getting overwhelmed.

“I’ll start some drones on him, he really doesn’t look too good.”

Springer ushered two of the medic drones over to Silverbolt then opened a private channel to Skydive.

>>Skydive as soon as your done I think you should come down to medbay. Something is wrong with Silverbolt but the medics haven’t checked him out yet.<<

Finally, Minerva connected the last power link in Archangel’s body. Whilst he was now little more than a simple circuit, Energy was now flowing through him. Minerva increased the amount of Energon flowing into the damaged mech, attempting to jumpstart his auto repair systems.

Whilst this was all well and good, Minerva was now faced with a complete set of repairs for Archangel, most of his armour was ruined, and several of his articulation systems were damaged beyond repair. Removing the armour was a simple task for the drones, what Minerva had to do required more delicacy. Slowly Minerva began to detach Archangel’s left arm, cutting with micro precision around fused areas or broken servos. Arm removed Minerva set to work on the other on, until it to came free. Setting these limbs aside, Minerva opened up Archangels chest; it would be much easier to work on without the damaged arms in the way.

A brief look at Archangel resulted in Minerva needing a few moments to steady herself. She wouldn’t stop now, and so she began to complex repairs to Archangel’s microchips, connections and energy processors. Minerva was soon lost in her work, oblivious to all around her.

Autobase Nu ~ Medbay

As he was carefully placed onto one of the examination tables, Silverbolt was still trying to work out just what the Pit was going on with him. Yes, he was feeling pain from his injuries, but he'd been in more pain before, and he hadn't started falling down then, there was something definitely wrong. Although he could hear Springer talking to him, the voice sounded somewhat distant, almost blending in with the other background noise of what was going on around them.

As Springer signalled for 2 of the Medbay drones to come over to him, the blurry haze obscuring his vision began to slowly clear once more, and some feeling began to come back to the Aerialbot Commander's right side, enough to allow him to struggle back up to an upright position on the table, and pull his right arm across his body, albeit with a lot of effort. Looking at the first drone, Silverbolt nodded as it asked if it was OK to proceed with a scan, before looking over toward the Wrecker Commander who was standing a short distance away, looking like he was on the commlink to someone.

"Hey Springer.." Silverbolt began, pausing only to wince slightly as the other drone began looking under the wound "..Thanks for getting me in here. Primus knows what's going on with me, I was fine one Klik, and then, well you saw what happened to me just then.." The Aerialbot Commander trailed off, concerned at just what was wrong with him, hopefully it would only be a consequence of his run-in with Weirdwolf rather than anything more serious.

------------------------------------
Nova Cronum ~ Over the Maximus Line

As the huge form of Omega Supreme quickly closed the distance between Polyex and the safety of Nova Cronum, Skydive sent out orders to the other 3 Aerialbots to take up escort positions around the Guardian, while he made radio contact with him.

>>Omega Supreme, this is Skydive of the Aerialbots. We have been assigned to provide you with an escort back to Autobase Nu and to ensure you have no further trouble from any Decepticons that may have followed you<<

"I don't know why we're out here anyway.." Slingshot spoke over a commlink exclusive to the 4 Aerialbots "..It's not like the Seekers could take him out anyway, I mean they can't even take us out, and they outnumber us by at least 2 to 1"

"Let me guess.." Air Raid chimed in "..That's only because of your superior ability in battle though.." Sarcasm clearly evident in his tone.

"..Well, I don't like to brag about my skills.." Slingshot was cut off as Fireflight stifled a laugh "..But that's kind of you to say so Air Raid.." The VTOL jet continued, ignoring Fireflight "..At least someone recognises talent when they see it" Slingshot finished, his trademark smugness ever present.

"Enough guys.." Skydive interjected, copying what he'd heard Silverbolt do on countless occasions "..Whether Omega Supreme needs our help or not is irrelevant. Prowl gave us our orders, and we're expected to carry them out, what we do here directly reflects on Silverbolt, and I for on..."

Skydive was cut off as his commlink recieved Springer's message, the Wrecker Commander sounded quite concerned about Silverbolt.

>>Copy that Springer, it's going to be a little while yet before we make it back to Nu and get to the Medbay, so could you keep me informed if and when the Medic's take a look at him please?<<

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Maximus Line: Bunker 23

Nova Strike stood on the observation tower with the comm terminal at his side. He didn't need any affirmation from Prowl, the bunker commander knew what to expect. With Tagon gone supplies were going to be even harder to comeby. Which meant once more he'd have to rely on older technology and good ole fashioned line of sight confirmation. But that wasn't the biggest issue dancing across Nova's processors, even with the dated equipment his squad had managed to do alright so he was not in any rush to force that particular issue. Instead there was something else.

The squad commander climbed down the ladder into the heart of the bunker as the remaining soldiers stood down from the alert. None of the members of the bunker crew shelved their weapons, expecting the worse should they do so. A few gave salutes to their leader as Nova Strike passed through the mass of metallic bodies and then went on their way.

A clunk of the hatch lock was the only indication of Nova's return to the command center. Placing the portable transceiver on the map he activated the computer terminal. He entered commands ordering the system to begin compiling reports and intellegence of the Polyhex borders and interior, possible distance the maximum known range of Decepticon artillery and supporting supply grids. The terminal beeped twice and transmitted the data to the primary screen. And thus the review and plotting began, Nova began to pour over the data the best he could, hopefully find some sort of explaination of not only Omega's forced retreat, considering the seekers alone were no where near enough to cause it, as well as find some sort of way to hurt the cons badly.

Autobase Nu - Medical Facilities

The sudden urge to hold a light conversation startled Forte a bit. She wasn't sure how to react to Sub-Zero's comment of war. A simple nod was all she mustered up for the moment, only agreeing so she wouldn't be questioned as if in a trial, which reminded her - if she had suddenly found herself in the medical ward, she must have gone into bezerker mode. Could Forte have done something harmful to the Autobots? If so, when was she going to be questioned for it? It had happened a few times before, and the lavendar femme expected trials of some sort to occur not long after her awakening in the medical bay.

Finally deciding to respond, the small fembot answered softly, yet loudly enough for Sub-Zero to catch it, "If... If you don't like war, why are you a warrior?"

In the meantime, Brewer had his own hands full with Wheelbar, watching Orpheus to make sure he was doing fine with his one functional arm. As Springer explained the situation of Silverbolt, he nodded, still working on getting his current patient stable, and said, "The drones should be able to get some of the work done for me. Their scans will quicken our process on finding out what's going on with him. And if you aren't busy with anything else, could you keep a watch on the drones? Just make sure that they complete their tasks efficiently and we get the data correctly." Not once did he actually look up to Springer, but only flash a few glances to make sure the triple-changer hadn't run off in the middle of his talk.

He was almost done getting all of the tubes hooked back up. Once that was done, Brewer would be able to have Wheelbar set on an energon tank. The green mech planned to begin further repair once his patient's fuel levels were back to calmer levels.

Autobase Nu - Medical Facilities

Zero looked over at Forte, his visor giving off a soft glow.

“I never intended to be one, but there wasn’t much choice. Truthfully I don’t like killing. And I don’t like seeing friends die even more. I was equipped with a powerful weapon and sent on a dangerous mission, as my first assignment. Of course it was a mistake to send a rookie but I was all that was available. That’s how I got my wonderful alt mode.”

His last comment held some sarcasm since he really did hate being a wolf-bot. He paused and decided to change the subject.

“I’m glad you’re alright now. I was one of the bots that helped bring you in. How do you feel?”

______________________________________________________

Springer was on the same thought waves as Brewer, he figured the drones would need supervision.

“Will do.”

After Springer had gotten two of the drones to start scanning Silverbolt and his transmission had been sent the triplechanger returned to Silverbolt.

“Yeah…….”

Springer trailed off looking at him in a curious manor. He was no medic but to the wrecker the aerial commander’s damage was not of the obvious type. Springer wondered just what exactly had gotten inside Silverbolt’s casing to make him so weak.

“No need to thank me, I know you would do the same. Hey, do you feel like anything is leaking internally?”

Springer directed the drone who was not scanning to check Silverbolt’s fluids. He would have to wait for Brewer or Minerva to give a real diagnostic but with the assistance of the drones Springer would try his best to keep Silverbolt online.

"I could feel something leaking just after the skirmish ended.." Silverbolt began in reply to Springer "..But the feeling slowly disapeared while we were walking back, I didn't really pay much attention to it to be honest.." Silverbolt paused as he nodded again as the 2nd drone began the check of his fluids at the request of Springer.

"..You thinking perhaps I've got a slow leak? One of Weirdwolf's teeth maybe nicked one of my internal fluid lines? Or maybe one of Clench's shots hit something?" The Aerialbot Commander continued, thinking out loud as much as anything. He was as lost as Springer, neither of them possessed that much medical knowledge, what little they did have mostly came from what they had seen in the process of the war.

As the drone continued with the fluid check, Silverbolt was jolted as the 1st drone, seemingly finished with it's scan, began cutting away the armor around the wound on his shoulder "Hey, a little warning would be nice" Silverbolt commented, which prompted a series of noises to be made by the drone, as it ignored his protestations and continued to cut away damaged and mangled armor "Slagging drones" Silverbolt mumbled.

Skies Over Nova Cronum

The giant form of Omega Supreme continued his flight over the city state, slightly adjusting his course towards the landing pad he had been directed too. >>”Message: received. Escort: Appreciated.”<< he replied to Skydive.

The giant rocket began to reduce his speed and changed his angle. He began to ascend, until he was directly over the Sirpicus Launch with his engines pointed straight down at it. He gradually reduced the power and his rocket from gradually dropped to the ground before coming to a final, and a bit hard, landing. The rocket quickly opened up and after considerable unfolding and twisting, the injured robot form of Omega Supreme sate on the launch pad, awaiting repairs.

Autobase Nu - Command Center

"Well, we're all hoping you're right as usual, Prowl," Kup responded to the strategist's point that it was unlikely the Decepticons had the mechpower or resources to continue their offensives into Nova Cronum or Iacon itself. Momentum they had, certainly; but as for energon and numbers, that was a different story.

For a moment he studied the consoles and the data streams that funneled through them into the Command Center. Bunker 23? Fantastic. Seems as though whatever young fool's in charge out there almost identified Omega Supreme as an unfriendly and opened fire. Seems like we're all looking silly this orn. The old warhorse looked back to Prowl and Gears.

"So I guess we sit back and wait to see what Optimus and the other extra-big 'Bots cook up as a response to all the 'Con shenanigans." Kup crossed his arms and frowned.

"'Course, we could try getting a little thicker intel for everyone to work with." He smiled slightly at Gears, knowing that the grumbling Minibot was frequently employed to great effect as a scout. "Feel like taking a trip out to the Maximus Line, old pal?"

Prowl gave a noncommittal nod. True, his assessment was logical, but past incidents had demonstrated that the Decepticons did not always follow the most logical course. In truth, he would have preferred to probe their present capabilities by launching a punitive raid into Polyhex, but he recognized that their present lack of able-bodied Autobots made that option unfeasible.

Kup's suggestion was not without merit--but likewase also not without considerable hazard. "Up-to-date intelligence would be a valuable resource at this juncture," the strategist agreed. "Certainly more useful than my best estimates and projections. But the Decepticons retain overwhelming aerial superiority in Polyhex. Any land-based units dispatched into their territory would be placed in enormous jeopardy. Even so, I'm more than willing to listen to suggestions, at this point."

Their best bet for ensuring the security of Nova Cronum--and making the city-state's forces sufficiently viable to adopt a more aggressive posture in the ongoing hostilities--lay with the recently-returned Omega Supreme. But Prowl still had no idea just when their maintenance personnel would be able to attend the Guardian. To gain a better perspective on that, he commed the Repair Bay once again.

Inside the small central hub, affectionately termed "The Box," by the young squad stationed inside, the lights began to flicker off then on, after a slam to a power box just behind the benched table they stabilized for the time being. It was the sign of where the resources had gone in this war, his team was not exactly on the cusp of Decepticon aggression and thus had been deemed by many as a place perfect for young guns to either get used to life on the front or... rust piles to turn to dust. At least that was the legacy before Nova Strike had been assigned to the facility from Wastelands after his promotion. The squad had shaped up and even drawn a few potshots from Decepticon's across the border, but still the stigma had remained as a place low in importance and low on the materials roster. Almost firing on the big guy would probably either cost Nova his rank, well if he had fired it would have, more than likely he was due for a good fender chewing by Prowl at some point down the line. It didn't matter however, it brought the repair up as an issue for the bunker itself, lacking a true medic, engineer and most materials had been salvaged time and again and jury rigged into service. Make due with what you have available, it was a motto he had heard somewhere before and it had stuck.

However now repairs or repremand was on the back burner of his mind as Nova Strike attempted to find a way of to make amends for himself. He skimmed through several catalogs of past and present intellegent reports of Polyhex itself. He was not totally sure what he was looking for... yet, but he was sure he would find something. There just had to be something close enough, strategically important and easy enough to get to with out being turned into Decepticon abstract. Satellite snapshots revealed alot of terrain that looked nearly useless save for killing fields of potential would be invaders. But where would such a kill originate?

Minerva jumped at the sound of Prowl’s transmission, she had been so absorbed in her repairs to Archangel

‘Prowl, all the wounded are secure in the Medbay, but I’ve got several patients still in critical condition, not enough hands to go round and one of my key medics is offline. So whatever you want is going to have to wait unless its about to die within the next astrosecond.’

Minerva turned back to Archangel, the mechs chest beginning to look like a functioning piece of equipment, she was now also aware of something being wrong with Silverbolt, but had no time to look at his problems, leaving Archangel unattended was to much of a risk. Minerva hated these situations, nut worked on. The quicker Archangel was repaired the quicker the shorthanded problem would disappear and she could deal with Prowl’s problem.

Autobase Nu

Topspin watched as the huge form of Omega Supreme touched down, battle scars all over his form. At least he looked like he’d had an interesting couple of breems, Topspin thought to himself. There had to be something he could do around here, the base was so understaffed at the moment. Topspin again opened a comm. to Prowl.

‘Prowl, give me something to do, re-enforcing the frontline, scouting, juggling whatever just something.’

"I'm fine now. Much less confused than I usually am when I wake up from a CR chamber," Forte replied to Sub-Zero. "You were on the medical table... What... had happened to you?"

Almost complete with Wheelbar's troubles, Brewer sealed off any and all interior tubes and circuitry that he found damaged. He soon finished that task, and moved on to closing the skin-like metal that closed in a transformer's innards. "If you can handle with the rest of the scrap armor," he suggested to Orpheus, "I'll get started on seeing what's going on with Silverbolt."

"Uh, OK Brewer" Orpheus replied, dropping the last of the smaller bits of armor onto the scrap pile. So far, his usual clumsiness hadn't surfaced, possibly because the young warrior was concentrating as much as he possibly could, possibly because he only had the 1 operational arm as opposed to 2. Regardless, as he moved his attention to the few larger pieces of Wheelbar's armor that needed ot be removed, Orpheus felt pleased that he had done what was asked of him without mistake.

As the young warrior set to, yanking off the armor with somewhat carefree abandon, a few tables away, Silverbolt sat, listening, watching and waiting for Brewer. Both the initial diagnostic scan and fluid level check had been completed by the 2 drones, and as the 1st drone continued to cut away some of the Aerialbot Commander's armor, the 2nd drone moved over to Brewer to hand him the results of the 2 scans.

Autobase Nu - Command Center

>>Acknowleded, Minerva. Keep me apprised of your progress. Command, out.<< Prowl deactivated the comm and went back to reviewing the status reports coming in from Iacon; since Autobase Tau had gone offline, this was now his principle source of information concerning the present status of the planet. Fortunately, it appeared that most of their personnel had managed to evacuate to the Hub Capital, though few had escaped major damage in the withdrawal. It didn't exactly mitigate the loss of the Heights, but at least it meant they might have the mechpower to retake the lost territory, when the time came.

Optimus Prime had returned from his sojourn to Moon Alpha relatively intact, as well, a fact that caused the strategic analyst more relief than would have been immediately apparent, given his stoic nature. Weighed against one another, the loss of even so significant a resource as the Tagan Heights was less fatal to their cause than the termination of the Prime would have been. Grimlock had also reappeared, though Prowl was inclined to view that piece of data as a mixed blessing, at best. An effective field officer and frontline combatant the Dynobot Commander may have been, but he rarely had much patience for the intricacies of long-term military planning.

Which reminded him: he was going to have to have a talk with Minerva later. He understood that repair personnel required a great deal of leeway if they were to be expected to shoulder the often impossible workloads pressed upon them by the war. But he couldn't overlook her previous disregard of his direct orders, even if the situation had not escalated quite so precipitously as it might have.

Topspin's communication went unanswered for a handful of nano-kliks. It wasn't at all logical; did the Wrecker think that he was some kind of clerk, dispensing assignments on command? Finally, he replied, >>Report to the Command Center. We may be able to find something to alleviate your boredom.<<

OOC - NPCing Gears for a sec because I didn't realize he was no longer being played...d'oh! IC-

Autobase Nu - Command Center

"I'll sit this one out, if you two big shots don't mind," Gears frowned, dour as ever. "There are resupply reports just begging to be filled out, and I would have a hard time doing them if I were full of holes from Seeker lasers. No offense, Kup."

Kup smiled, knowing there was no better way to stick it to the little complainer than to put up a positive, cheerful front. "None taken, Gears. Enjoy the resupply reports, good buddy."

"Oh, I will," Gears mumbled as he shuffled out of the Command Center to go about his business. Kup looked back to Prowl as the Minibot exited.

"Sack full o' starshine, that one is," Kup rubbed his chinplate. "I still think I'd best do a little recce into Polyhex, though. Peak over the Maximus line and see what's happening on the other side. I don't need much of a team to do that, but I won't turn away a little backup."

The old veteran waited for Prowl's verdict on the mission. A little hunting on the other side of the lines would be just the thing to clear Kup's primary processor.

Or so he thought, anyway.

Motto: "I what?... HELP!"
Weapon: Dark Saber Sword
Autobase Nu - Medbay

Minerva closed the last panel on Archangel’s chest, internal systems once again functioning within acceptable levels. Briefly Minerva considered waking him up. Whilst he’d be unable to help physically, he could offer some advice and direct a couple of drones. Suspending judgement of that particular issue for the moment, Minerva went over to inspect how the drones were doing on Archangels damaged limbs. Satisfied with the progress, Minerva turned her attention to the face of Archangel. Prying off the faceplate, Minerva was relieved to discover that his internal working had survived reasonably intact. The faceplate itself was cracked and dented. Minerva began the delicate operation of repairing the visual sensors, which appeared to have suffered some jarring, and a couple of broken connections.

Autobase Nu - Command Centre.

Topspin charged through the corridors of the Autobase, bursting through the command centre doors and skidding to a halt behind the figure of Prowl. Without even greeting the senior officer, Topspin began to speak

‘Thank primus, what have you got for me Prowl? Something dangerous? What? Is it a secret mission? I can be pretty sneaky if I want to you know. Ooh! Maybe it’s a deep recon mission behind enemy lines!’

The mech continued on in this fashion and unfortunately for Prowl it didn’t look like Topspin was short of ideas on how he could help.

Motto: "Feed them to the Sharkticons!"
Autobase Nu - Command Center

With only the slightest hint of reluctance, Prowl nodded his consent to Kup's suggestion. As loath as he was to risk the other Autobot's functioning by sending him off into enemy territory where he'd probably spend so much time keeping an optic on the skies that he'd fail to notice the Predacon sneaking through the rubble, there was military necessity to consider. They needed accurate intelligence concerning the Decepticons' capabilities, and reconnaissance was their only way of getting it at the moment. He might not like it, but facts were facts.

"All right," he said. "I'll authorize it. But I want you to take every possi--"

The strategist's (likely unnecessary) warnings were interrupted by Topspin's arrival. Optics darkening for a moment as he took refuge in the calm of his own measured, logical internal processes, Prowl listened to the enthusiastic warrior go on for a moment before holding up a hand to forestall him.

"Congratulations, Kup," he said, quite pleased that he managed to conceal any outward display of humor. "Your backup has arrived. Just try to come back in one piece. At the rate they're going, our repair staff might be offline for megacycles once they've worked their way through their current project. I doubt either of you want Springer working on your internals."

Autobase Nu - Medical Facilities

He walked over to next next patient, satisfied that Wheelbar was more than stabalized, and was in good hands. Already studying the physcial appearance of Silverbolt, Brewer noticed that he wasn't as in as bad a shape as most other bots - but that was only the outside. According to Springer, there was something worrisome going on within the Aerialbot's leg.

"I can't promise you I could do much with this, but I can give Minerva a heads up when she gets done with Archangel," Brewer gestured his head in the two's general direction. One of the drones hovered up to him and handed over the scan results. Looking over them, he made sense of what he could. "Huh..." The green mechanoid turned and walked over to Minerva, hoping she could at least listen to him, and maybe even allow him to aid in finishing Archangel. "Minerva," Brewer stopped just a couple of feet away from her, "I have Silverbolt's scan results. I can't do much with them, but if you'd like me to help you out here, I can get you onto him faster, and then we could get Archangel online as well."

Motto: "Anything worth fighting for, is worth fighting dirty for."

Maximus Line – Autobot side

Approaching the territory of Nova Cronum from the northwest, a flying blue streak could be seen angling down out of the heavens towards the rocky ground. Anyone looking up into the sky in that direction would be able to easily see it and extrapolate where its current trajectory would take it (the Autobot side of the Maximus Line between Polyhex and Nova Cronum).

As the streak made its final approach and dropped lower to the ground, its design as a space cruiser becomes apparent to anyone watching. Gliding in swiftly the blue craft banks slightly to the port side and lands amid the rocks. A few astroseconds later the sounds of a transformer changing shape comes from the area where the space cruiser landed.

Walking up out of the landing area a blue mech heads to one of the taller piles of rubble scattered around. Climbing to the top, the individual takes in his surroundings before looking down and fiddling with something on his forearm plate.

Finishing messing with his arm, he begins to scan the area and wonders idly if anyone has noticed his arrival.

Autobase Nu ~ Medbay

Listening to Brewer, Silverbolt could only nod in response, all he could do was wait, and hope that his problem was one that could be easily solved. The 2 drones had done all they were capable of doing and had already moved on "..To torture someone else no doubt.." The Aerialbot Commander thought to himself with more than a hint of humor.

Having finished with his menial task, Orpheus knew what happened next. Picking up Wheelbar as carefully as he possibly could, the imposing warrior walked over to the CR chambers and placed the young warrior into one of them, before leaving the rest to one of the Medbay Techs. Standing back, Orpheus looked on as the recharge procedure was initiated, he wasn't taking a step inside one of those until he knew Archangel was going to be OK, no matter what anyone said to him.

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Maximus Line: Bunker 23

Hours had passed since Nova Strike had locked himself into the box, figuratively speaking, and sat down to up date his own files and plot a potential responce against the Decepticon forces. Most of his work was spent going through the reports from Omega Supreme's fly over scans as well as accessable intellegence from various satellites. He compared the latest details with the known and came up with specific answers to his initial questions, all while raising several more.

According to the updated reports, the guns that had caused the killing field effect in Northern Polyhex had been taken out by the retreating Sentinel. However that nugget of information did not exactly explain why the area was so heavily defended in the first place. Most of the territory was nothing more than waste and slag, so to put a battery out in the middle of no where made little sense.

The warrior commander leaned back and yawned as he rubbed his optical visor. The holographic map of Polyhex had been brought up to date through the net link and flashed with skirmish points across the various borders, obvious signs of quelling resistance. Still he was stumped as to where to go next. Typically Nova would have taken a group to the nearest battlezone and helped the engaged autobot squad. But each battle was too far across the border for any attempt to be made. So it left him with the problem of near uselessness.

Nova Strike forced himself to his feet after pushing himself away from the map generator. He grabbed a blaster cartage and rearmed himself with a remote scanner and binoculars. He needed some new perspective, thus he departed the chamber, leaving it to his XO and headed towards the back of the bunker facade.
