By which you mean, surely, that you're tired of being proven wrong continuously?

You're right that what you state are, by and large, your own opinions. Yet there are such things as informed opinions. Yours don't come under that definition and instead meander from one ill-judged statement to another..

Oh and I'm stoked for this movie!

This issue had died, until you brought it up again. You're more than welcome to discuss the actual topic at hand, but this part of it was over and done with. We both said our piece and there's no need for you to come along and jump on the bandwagon and stir up something that doesn't need to be.

By which you mean, presumably, that you've had the final say? I'm afraid that the concept of a public internet message board seems to be beyond you. Thanks for your permission to discuss the topic of the thread though. Love you.

Whoa. Now wait a minute. I said nothing of the sort. I never, ever uttered those words. He posted, I posted, no one kept it going. It's had no life in it for 6 days. Not my doing, not his doing, it just came to be. Instead of taking the discussion in another direction, you decide to be antagonistic for no reason and come after me. All over my opinion, which I clearly stated I should've clarified?

I don't know what your deal is, but it's not appreciated.

You don't seem to be understanding what a public message board is all about. I could go as far back as two/three years ago and post in a topic and 'reignite' the debate and it wouldn't be a problem. The reason why I chose to post in this thread is because I'm looking forward to the Superman/Batman movie. A movie that you chose to post your negative opinion on. This is a public message forum - which means if you post an opinion you might just get more than one person disagreeing with you especially when you use such confrontational language as "you're getting on my last nerve." Alright, Elmer Fudd. Calm down.

If it was a private duel with Shadowman over this that you were after, might I suggest that in future you take it to PM rather than spitting your dummy out at the first sign of anybody else daring to have the chagrin of getting involved.

Have you honestly gone trawling through old threads to specifically find an example of a mod locking a thread because of 'necro-bumping'?

I think we all know who the real winner is here.

Haha you think you won? I know a good amount of people on this site would disagree. How does it feel to be proven wrong?

Also, if you don't want this thread locked, we had better get back on topic. Would you like me to find an example of that as well?

Actually, I went over the rules list. It didn't say anything prohibiting necrobumping. So, more likely, it's not against the rules, but simply frowned upon when used improperly.

So...no, prowl123, you didn't prove anyone wrong.

Whether its actually against the rules or not, threads do get locked because of it. I have already provided proof if this and I don't want to hear any more about it.

So... Batman/Superman.

Threads can get locked, sure, but it's not absolute, because as I mentioned, there's no rule against it. Not to mention, I necrobumped this thread a page or two ago. I noticed it didn't get locked down because of it.

True, but he wasn't arguing that. Even so, anyone have any idea who's going to be playing Batman? If they're going to use Christian Bale or Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

Also, they've confirmed a live-action Batman Beyond movie, and I think I'm starting to stretch what qualifies as on-topic at this point.

Actually that is what I was arguing.

BATMAN BEYOND????? YESSSSS. I personally would love to see Christian Bale back but I doubt that would happen. Other options would be the guy who played Rorschach in Watchmen.

Both sides are right, necrobumbping used to be against the rules, then it was changed in one of the rule updates, now it's just frowned upon.
And it's only necrobumping if the thread's been dead for so long that it drops off of the first page and is pretty old.

So, anybody agree that the best scene in the movie was the final scene, the one in which we see young Clark looking into the sunset while his dad realizes what his destiny is?

Why do some people feel the urge to just jump in and join in on an argument when they know such things are not welcome on this site?

I thought the best scene was when he was talking to the priest. Because I don't feel like typing it again, if you look at my first or second comment on one of the early pages of this thread, you'll see my reason.

that was a good scene though.

EDIT: It's page 10

I thought I was getting involved in the spirit of the topic of conversation: Batman. I saw a wrong that needed righting and even though I bent the rules to get the job done, I feel that justice was upheld.

Because I'm the hero Seibertron deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, you'll warn me, because I can take it. Because I'm not your hero. I'm a mouthy poster. An obnoxious Englishman. A Dark Knight.

One love, y'all.

It's safe to assume that I'm just taking the piss.

You are forgiven just for that last paragraph.

Also, who would be playing Batman in Batman Beyond? My money's on Joseph Gordon-Levitt but the issue I see is the space in time between Batman's involvement in the Justice League and Terry's discovery of Batman's identity.

*Deep breath*

You may want to sit down, perhaps pour yourself something strong and alcoholic.

Batman will be played by...Ben Afleck.

Yeah. Sorry to break the news to you.

If I may reiterate my post from the other thread: Now Matt Damon HAS to play Robin.

NO, it has to be the Matt Damon puppet from Team America.

Well, we can give him a try as Batman, it's not like anything of value will be damaged.

People complained about Heath Ledger as the Joker, as well as the Joker's design, and about Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. And they both knocked it out of the park, so anything's possible.
