thats as very good point, but it doesnt explain Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett Johansson appearing in a dc film.

I probably should have said "No appearing in DC movies from now on." That's probably where you got confused.

"Chris Evans and Idris Elba are the only two I might have a point with"?

did you miss the 2nd to last name on my list?
or can you explain Samuel L Jackson appearing in a dc film?

Same as the previous two; filming for The Spirit took place before he was hired for Iron Man. And also filming for the Spirit took place three years before Scarlett Johannson was cast for Iron Man 2.

And the crazy thing is that I clarified what I meant and yet you're still arguing the same point. (That you think, for some reason, that I meant they can't be in an MCU movie if they ever appeared in a DC movie, when in fact I meant the other way around) But since I said this applied to MCU actors, and you then rattled off a list of people who appeared in Fantastic Four and X-Men, I can just chalk that up to you not paying attention.

except thats not the case

filming on Ironman began in Marc 07 and ended in the last week of June 07 ,SLJ's cameo scene was filmed the last week and with a with skeleton crew , so to try and keep the scene a secret, there is some info indicating the scene was re-shot in July

SLJ was cast for his part in "The Spirit" in May 2007, Filming began in October 2007.

And also filming for the Spirit took place three years before Scarlett Johannson was cast for Iron Man 2.

I know, thats why i didnt ask you to explain her case

And the crazy thing is that I clarified what I meant and yet you're still arguing the same point.

YES
because i knew what your answer was going to be..........and i also knew you would be wrong.

or do you think i wouldnt look up the filming dates of both films before posting anything?

S.L.Jackson filmed and appeared in a DC film after signing up for Marvel.... paying attention?

At what point was Samuel Jackson cast in iron man though? It's easy to assume before filming but there's always the chance it was after March.

Also given the amount of films Samuel Jackson likes to put out, he probably has a clause in his contract saying you can't stop him getting work :)

i remember plenty of talk, some may say rummers, that Jackson accepted the part months before filming got started.I recall first hearing it just after x-mas or new years.

Jackson spoke of wanting the part for some time

Apparently some new rumours about supes v batman that have been going on is that bizarro superman is the villain, created by lex of course, to fight batman, and it's him who we see unmask batman as well. In the finale he devolves to doomsday so the 'trinity' can fight him.

The other rumour is less convulted but just as silly as it's simply that batman dreams the aforementioned unmasked section.

There is also a rumour that Jared leto is actually playing as Jason Todd, one driven crazy by the original joker.

Can't say I believe any of these mind

I find some of those likely.
i think the unmasking scene can very well be a dream or one of Bruces "worse case situation", basically a visualized telling of one of his plans for what might happen .Looking at the costume Bats is wearing suggest its not a normal event

based on his younger appearance, and the idea that Joker has been around in this universe for a bit, the idea that he could be Jason Todd or even Tim Drake gone crazy seems to fit

He's supposed to lose his hair by the end of the movie. Also, "un lex like" is a silly thing to say, he's gone through a lot of different characterizations in the past 80 years.

I recently read what was apparently a overview of the movie by someone who willingly broke the NDA at a preview of the movie. They had many things to share but like all things of this nature, I'm not sure how much was real or just guesswork.

First off, Doomsday is only the middle fight of the movie, after two bats v supes fights (first one supes wins, second time batman wins with kyptonite powered gauntlets). The actual final fight of the movie is justice league vs Lex (in power armour, as revealed by new toys) and his drone army. Apparently this is our first sight of the new green lantern though I can't remember who the source said was playing him but it was supposed to be Hal Jordan. Also Cyborg is in the movie and is rebuilt using kypton tech

There is more but that's what has stuck in my memory.

B] if they try to force them together they will create continuity issues

Will this be a different dimension deal? Like how Jay garrick was introduced or is it taking place on the same world?

Also what continuity issues? Everything has been pretty self contained so far

short and simple.

if they connect the shows as 1 universe-1 continuity there will be 1 major continuity issue.

in the arrow/flash universe people with extra ordinary powers "meta-humans" are a relatively new development, that started becoming known within the last 2 or 3 years in the a/f universe.

in Supergirls universe the same is not so, Superman has been active for well over 15 years fighting super powered meta-humans and presumably aliens.

so the logical course would be to have this be similar to the Jay Garrick introduction

I spot a contradiction - or at least an oddity.

Supergirl doesn't have the same Superman as her well 'Rival'( I guess is the best description of her relationship to Kal El) as the Man of Steel Superman - it's a different person - different Universe to Man of Steel - it has to be as Metropolis is still intact and Superman isn't seen as threat to Man kind or some sort of deity. He's seen as he is in new Adventures of Superman or TV show Superboy (who was basically Superman - just not called that)

Yet I keep hearing it said the Flash is supposed to be seen saving people in Metropolis so either TV flash and Movie Flash are two distinct people or if they are the same Person Supergil should be seen with the TV flash as the Flash shouldn't really exist in both Universe with the same actor.

People might well 'Notice' that was an error. In a crazy sort of way it would almost have made more sense to say the Supergirl in Smallville is a fake and that this is the real one and the Superman she's Idolises is the Smallville one.

That has just as many problems though including how she's such a fast learned when it took Smallville Clark an eternity to do anything. so that isn't really going to work either.

So I guess The TV show Superheroes are best to stay in their own niche and well away from the Movies otherwise it's a big headache all around. If the Flash isn't in BMVSM then no such problem will arise.

I have no idea how truthful the rumours of the Flash in the Movie are though - or which version of him it is. But some Dimensional travel would likely help - and the TV flash does fit better with MOS than it does with Supergirl-verse as far as I can tell from my limited understanding of it..

Technically speaking that is still Superman existing in the arrow /flash universe. The shadow man's point is still valid.

Urm the TV shows are unconnected to the movies, as dc are pretty much double casting on flash with another actor playing the role of Barry allen in the batman v superman movie. Also smallville is also unconnected to...well all of them as well hence why it draws inspiration from past superman movies and TV shows.

Basically-

As from Man of Steel, all DC movies are connected.

Arrow/Flash same universe

Supergirl

Now with flash playing with alternative universe's, it seems likely that would be the route they play with a flash/Supergirl crossover, of course I could be wrong.

It would be nice to see them utilise the TV stars by an adaption of crisis on infinite earth's and really go to town on the multiverse theory.
