To all you TF uber-know-it-alls, (or anyone who knows) can you tell me any Decepticon leaders through all the series/continuities who joined the Autobots either temporarily or permanently?

In Armada,Galvatron formed an alliance with Optimus and the other autobots in order to defeat Unicron.

Similar thing happened with Megatron on Prime. Thats all I can remember for now.

To my knowledge, no Decepticon Leaders has outright joined the Autobot, but temporary alliances have been made to deal with a greater threat, mostly done by G1 Megatron:

- in Countdown to Extinction, Optimus Prime used Megatron in gun mode to shoot the Exponential Generator into space.
- in The Revenge of Bruticus, Megatron and optimus Prime once again joined forces to deal with the Combaticons' plot to guide the Earth into the sun.
- in The Core, Megatron joined with the Autobots again when a plan involving the Earth's Core went awry.
- another teamup happened at the end of the Marvel G2 comics, in which Megatron famously stated his foolishness with his infatuation with Starscream

- In the Japanese G2, Optimus Prime and Megatron from the Cybertron Alliance, which quickly disolved when one of Megatron's friends was killed by humans on accident.
- In a bit of a cheat, in Robot Masters Megatron used the guise of Reverse Convoy to infiltrate Autobot ranks.
- In the Stargate Battles, Optimus and Megatron again joined forces, to stop Starscream.

Alright, thanks. The Japanese stuff I had no idea about. But to specify further, I'm basically looking for a reverse of Sentinel's situation from DotM. A Decepticon leader/prominent high ranking character joining the Autobots to fight Decepticons.

If memory serves, I believe Sixshot defected to the Autobots.

However, I'm not sure of actual leaders. Skyfire was the first TF to actually defect though.

Cybertron's Scourge, the Leader of the Jungle Planet, was his own faction. Because of various sircumstances, he became a Decepticon. He even became their leader for a very short while.

Still, in the end, he understood that pure streight is not all that matter and -kinda- joined the Autobots and Optimus Prime to save his world and the universe.

The Bumposaurus rex is being exumed!

Starscream did not switch sides, he just wanted Galvatron away. Not the same thing.
