Blackstreak wrote:Some of those transformers didn't seem to be on Earth long enough to scan for an alt mode. Most of them 'ported in and went straight to work laying waste to everything. The scene where they did scan and transform were the ones assigned to reaching far places of Earth to set up batteries (or whatever they were called, I forget).
As mentioned before, Transformers using ships that didn't transform is nothing new to the live-action movies. The original Ark didn't transform, and neither did the Nemesis.
Pillars. But not all the cons with alt modes went around the world, I saw many in Chicago, notably a Chevy Silverado, and that green dump truck one. I suppose the only reason an alt mode was necessary was for a surprise attack, which I didn't really see...

Why did a Decepticon ship, piloted by a very large robot have a hatch that a human could open and was just the right size for her (Carly) to emerege from?

I think this was the only one they actually made for that scene. (the rest are probably CGI) and nobody thought about it honestly. Or didn't want to /think it was important to fix it. Lazyness perhaps?
