Look what came in the mail. An impulse pre-order done months ago that I now have to deal with: Digivolving Spirits 04 Angewomon:




If you are not familiar with Digimon, think that they are to Pokémon what Gobots were to Transformers. Except Digimon is enduring for years and is still going strong. We have here a rabit-cat thing that will digivolve into a female angel. An angel...womon. Sigh, more akin to Gobots that I initially realised!

Anyway, she come packed exactly like that. Guess what kind of transformation she will have?



The figure itself look very good from the point of view you are not supposed to see. She's made of a very rubbery material all over.



The shell attach to her exactly like a flight stand. With a lone tiny peg. Look at her funny and she come undone.



Still, DAMN she's sexy! BTW, I didn't knew I had to raise her head plumage up.



From the back, she look li......... oh boy................



Appart the fact that she unplug too easily from her shell when "digivolving", the transformation is very akin to what you can expect from a Beast Wars shellformer.Not too complicated and very straightfoward. However, the manual warn at every steps that parts can have the paint rub off or tiny pegs might break. Scary. Also, the tips of the wings are SHARP and POINTY. Be careful.

Looking like this, Ange look like someone who work at an amusement park and is now on break.



And here we have the rabit-cat thing that I don't bother getting the name. It's cute, yes. But it's a brick. Appart the arms and tail, nothing move.



The arm panels barely try to cover anything. Hello, furry going to a convention!



Taking the figure out is easier than cracking a nut.



Overall, she look GREAT.... from the front. She have too many fragile parts and have too many weird things going on. Plus I can't tell where is the promised die cast on the shell. Worth importing? HELL NO. Not for more expensive than a full priced leader Transformers.... With taxes.... plus shipping. (5200JPY + shipping) Better pay double or triple that and have a decent Angewomon statue instead.

The only Digimon game I ever played is Cyber Sleuth on Vita. Amazing graphics, SEXY anime tiddies galore, and a nice story. My only complain is the blandness of the digital world. Never watched any anime. Angewomon being one of my fave 'mon, I preordered her as soon as she poped up... before any more info was available. A preorder that couldn't be cancelled. Still, she do look good in her place in that last pic. Unfortunately, I may never transform her ever again. Unless is to insert another figure inside her shell for funsies.

Yup, I knew it. Jobby confirmed that Angewomon is trash and he have the exact same beefs as I have with this figure.

Angewomon follow the same pattern as the old Angemon. But I feel that Angemon is way better looking overall. Even from the back. Plus he look SOLID and NOT fragile. Like a toy is supposed to be. Too bad a 100% complete one is so expensive now...

It's not just expensive. It's RARE. On the 'Bay, only ONE unbroken and complete is available and it's over 80$CAN shipped.


Even if I do want it, I'm not paying that. Maybe 40$CAN shipped youlb be okay, but no more. I have anime figures and transformers to pay for afterall.

For this we will have to wait for reviews. I'm not preordering anything for now.
