DOTM 2 disc special, not happening?

All I want is quite simple, the DOTM 2 disc edition with transforming case (Megatron or whoever). Why? Because my first movie and ROTF DVD are the transforming Optimus and Bumblebee cases, so I want DOTM to be that way also. Seems like it's not happening.

Me too, my DotM DVD seems so out of place.

I have the 2-disc edition for the first film, the single-disc editions for the sequels. I bought the 7-disc Blu Ray set as a gift for a friend, and considered getting it for myself as well. I'm glad I didn't as there really isn't anything special about it, other than the extras for DotM and the 3D Blu Ray, for which I have no use, as I don't have a 3D TV. And the packaging is kinda bulky. Takes up a lot of space. I'm perfectly happy with the versions I have.

I never got the "buying it for the extra bits" thing with DVDs or video games. When I buy a DVD or game it's generally for the movie/game, not the box. Makes me want to rip my hair out cause most of my friends online are hardcore gamers in a large clan.

"DUDE WHY DIDN'T YOU BUY GENERIC MMO SPECIAL EDITION! SURE IT'S $200 AND COMES WITH PURELY COSMETIC CRAP YOU DON'T EVER NEED BUT I THINK IT SHOWS YOU'RE NOT COMMITTED TO THE GAME!"

Kids these days. Of course I did shell out $80 for the Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe edition. Still regretting that financial frak-up. #-o

So did I. But I would have gladly paid more.

I like extras in the things I get, it makes them feel worth my while.

I guess I have an "anti-salad" philosophy. Think of it this way: When I go out to eat, do I go for the salad or the steak? The steak, naturally. The DVD/game is the steak, the extras are the salad and unless I have to I'd just avoid it all together.

Or, conversely, the restaurant uses the EA Games method: You buy a steak, it comes to the table cut in half with the extra half cut into pieces and they charge you extra for the other half of the steak piece by piece.
