Awesome!! Pretty seamless? How does it feel compared to the stock plastic?RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Got it today! I haven't had a chance to do anything with the hands, but everything else is really solid and snaps on easily. Great enhancements, all of them. And I really love that the cannon barrel's got a hole for the missile to fire through.
It's the little things for me.![]()

Hopefully tomorrow I can try and figure out getting the forearms open and switch out the hands. Well, switch out one hand and replace the other with MP-Megatron's mace.

Admittedly no expert, but the plastic feels really solid. Not thin and sturdy overall. I'd say it integrates well into the robot mode. Haven't tried alternate mode, but I bought it for the robot mode.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

And pardon the double-post, but...

Okay...The feet provide great stability. The shins are nice. The cannon pegs in tightly and looks cool. The cannon barrel bit doesn't impede the missile in any way. Honestly the only 'problem' is the hands, and it's not DX9's fault. The screw on the inner side of the forearm is easy enough to get out. The one underneath the arm plate, though, is. You need a special screwdriver to get to it, something long and thin. Again, NOT DX9's fault.
Oh, and the mace? MP Megatron's. Not easy to get on, though. There's a plate behind the hand that I had to trim out, and I also cut off the ball the chain's attached to and just left it inside the forearm when closing it up. I didn't lose anything since IMHO MP Megatron is a piece of $#!+.
And yes, that's Perfect Effect's Laserbeak pegged in there. Perfect.
So with the exception of two screws that are kinda hard to get to, this upgrade kit is really easy and definitely enhances CW Megatron. I am fully satisfied with my purchase.

Sorry to revive a year old post here. I do have something to add and some questions/curiosities.
I've seen some pictures, reviews, and all that and I kind of know what I'm in for on the if and when I buy it. Like how hard the hands are to install for example as it is possibly the most difficult part. I am mostly happy with CW Leader Megs as as he is though. He's by far my favorite iteration of the character made thus far and that's what I like. I very much love the figure and everything about it. Don't mind my gushing. I stepped in it a bit when I came in to post. Heh. Apologies.
What I want to know is basically, is this the best upgrade set out there for that particular Megatron? I've seen an additional one that doesn't look quite as good/nice in my opinion, but where I looked it seemed to be more expensive than this one. That said, I am leaning more towards this one because I feel it does look nicer. How do you all feel overall with the manufacturer and specifically how the overall quality is in and on these parts overall? Are they cheap plastics where they are prone to issues? Are they on a decent level with decent craftship? I know it makes certain aspects of the figure a "partsformer" of course. Personally I only want the enhancements for the robot mode and not the alt-mode. I feel the tank is mostly adequate in my mind. So the partsformer stuff I'm alright with. I mean even the original Megatron is a bit of a partsformer too with the stock and silencer parts of the gun mode.
Thanks! I appreciate all of your feedback if you can provide it.
