Looking at my GDO Megatron, I might have been interested in a G1-colored version... but that head sculpt leaves much to be desired.

We get our first look at the Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime and Megatron via a tweeted magazine scan. This look at the upcoming toys comes to us from @nakigao_san on Twitter. As previously reported, Optimus is a repaint of the Classics/Henkei mold exclusive to TakaraTomyMall and Megatron is a repaint of the Generations GDO Megatron exclusive to eHobby. As a bonus, we also get to see the Transformers Go! G25 Black Leo Prime. The image is mirrored below for your convenience.

That Optimus is even more G1 show-accurate than the Henkei! Henkei! Convoy figure. :ic$:

And, HELLOOOOOOO, Go Prime! He is totally a Blade Liger. 8)

If I hadn't picked up ToyWorld's Optimus Prime, I would've grabbed this in a moment. However now that I have a new Prime, I don't need this.

lol, this is hilarious. Henkei is much better. Not only does the Windtop thing match in red on Henkei, the chrome legs are nicer. But for anyone that doesn't have the mold it's good I guess. One of my favorite molds. Megatron though? ugh.. Still not a good enough Megatron for Classics. Can anyone stand up to Hegemon? :BANG_HEAD:

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Unibrow Megatron.

We still get Soft rubbery plastic for Megatron's swords... I'm not happy.

I do prefer the neck-down mold for Bludgeon over Megs, and I'm not quite sold on the whie face, it almost looks too makeup-y to me... but a little extra paint, and that wouldn't be a bad earth-mode version of his War Within Tank mode. A US release, I'd have bought it.

Is that Megatron supposed to be a KISS tribute?

I like that Optimus, it's a great mold plus the cartoon accurate white is actually pretty nice to see on a toy for once.
Although it's pretty odd to have show accurate colours on a mold that's vastly different from the actual cartoon model. If it'S not too expensive to get I might get it for my Classics Prime collection.

The arm panels are still made of translucent plastic, thus not worth the premium. Pity... I like the classics Prime mold, but with the panel plastic being a major design problem It's getting harder to justify each subsequent release.

Looks like Optimus's black wind vane is a reference to G2 Optimus Prime's black soundbox. In that case, it's a nice touch. :D

G2

And all of the Animated versions, basically all that are based on G1 Megatron. Especially the cartoon model which mistook the gun kibble as being his helmet, while the things we know as "eye-brows" are likely meant to be the crest of his helmet and not part of his face. :-B

So why are people surprised that this thing as a uni-brow?

Oh also, the body of Megatron looks great as always, but damn that head sculpt looks even crappier now than it did in G2 colours. WTF Takara?

Man I hate the head mold on Megachin. It looks so bad! I think the rest of the figure looks great. I also like the look of Prime. G1 fantastic!

I really don't want to buy either one of these molds yet again, but Op is looking like an easy sell. Stay Puft Marshmallow Megatron(seriously, look at that horrible face) on the other hand... no thanks.

I was sold on the Megatron until I saw that face. The color blends in too much. Looks like a big marshmallow head :(

I still have no need for another one of that Prime mold, but I completely agree on Megatron.

This would really work if they made a head that worked with the mold.
As it stands, Megsy looks like a bad kitbash.
