The Great War has raged on for millenia on the planet called Cybertron. Now the conflict between Autobots and Decepticons has spreaded to new world with the ascension of Insecticons and Dynobots on Earth.

Will Earth be ravaged by the war of the giants like they homeworld or will the Autobots find a way to stop the conflict from escalating before humankind learns of the alien invasion?

Crash Landing Site in Russia

Having tested out his old rocket launcher and finding it still in working order the dinobot flamethrower just grinned from audio sensor to audio sensor. "Me Slag happy launcher still works," he practically moaned as he looked over at the flyer in their group. Swoop also come outside to test the weaponry. One thing was for sure, even though testing the arsenal wasn't as releiving as crunching decepticon cranium but he still felt better having released some ammunition. Now the shuttle bays were open and Jetfire gave the clear to launch in search of the bugs he turned from the mountaintop de-materializing his launcher at the same time.

[Atlantic Ocean(?): Hovering]

Apparently, Bombshell did not trust the electronic warfare specialist with the task of reviving the ship's systems and the rest of their bretheren. Especially Venom, he abhorred that loathsome, paranoid insecticon to death.. and easily figured he would either never reactivate him, or potentially terminated him on the spot. Terminating him would only prove disastrous, as Shrapnel did little to adhere to Venom's "leadership" whilst he was still active. So there was little reason for the stag beetle to exterminate him, other than being a nuisance once reactivated.

However, mistrusting and power struggles within the Insecticon ranks put aisde, there was work needing to be done. And comes the quietly begrudging sentences that allowed Bombshell the task of returning to the ship.

"Fine, fine... I will take Ransack and a few of these fleshlings with me to raid a power source for energon conversion, while you and Kickback return to our ship, ship. Is this agreeable for you, Bombshell, bombshell?"

Bombshell let out a long suffering sigh. What Shrapnel suggested wasn't exactly what he wanted, but it was better than nothing. And it wouldn't be a good idea to push for more.

Siberia – shuttle crash site

Grimlock watched as the Dinobots tested their various weapons. It seemed that the cold climate had helped preserve everything over their long period in stasis. They were now fully ready for combat. Now they just needed to find some enemies to smash.

Grimlock received a signal from the shuttle’s computer. He had left it on with instructions to continue scanning the planet as best it could for other Transformers. Apparently it had detected some. The Dinobot commander walked back into the ship and accessed the first computer console he found. The sensors had picked up a group of Transformers, Decepticons by the look of it. They were situated under one of the huge masses of water that covered most of the planet.

The massive Dinobot rubbed his chin. They could go after them now, but only Swoop had any expertise at aerial combat and none of them would be any good in the water. The Insecticons, if that was who these Decepticons are, were probably going to be looking for some energon and a way off this mudball, just like they did. He doubted they would find either in an ocean. He just had to be patient a while longer, wait for them to land and then step on them like the bugs they were.[/b]

Jetfire had been working quietly on repairing the ship as best as he could. With the Dinobots outside fooling about with their weapons, he was allowed a brief respite to actually get some work done.

As he walked down a corridor, subspace communication equipment under his shoulder, he saw Grimlock accessing a computer console. As he passed, he looked over Grimlock's shoulder.

"Located the Insecticons, Grimlock?"

Kickback had to leap up and down from the ocean and just caught the last part of Bombshell and Shrapnel's conversation. "We could use the ships scanners to look for more energy sources." He said as he caught up to then and hovered using his wings. "This isn't exactly the tropics we first saw when we got here, but it looks much better then the ice ball it turned out to be. Sheesh, this planet sure goes through it's paces."

Grimlock glanced over his shoulder at Jetfire and grunted. “Found some Decepticons at least, but they flying somewhere. Not want to attack them while they on the move, especially when they over so much water. We wait until they land somewhere, let them settled down, get comfortable, then we stomp them.”

He knew the Autobot scientist likely wanted the Dinobots gone. He was a big thinker, and those types usually didn’t have much patience for warriors, at least while there was no fighting going on. When the fighting started though, they would be hiding behind the warriors, begging for their help. It was the way it had always worked, but it didn’t make it any less irritating.

"Afraid of getting a little rusty?" asked Jetfire, deadpan. He looked at the location of the Decepticons. He wasn't sure about Swoop's fuel capacity, but he knew that his own booster packs would allow him a much longer range without the help of the shuttle.

"If you don't mind... I think I could fly over there and keep an eye on them. If anything, I want to see more about this planet and it's technology levels. Maybe I can find something that I could use to cobble together a working ship or a subspace relay or whatever." He opened the door to the shuttle hatch and stepped inside, attaching his booster pack where he had placed it earlier.

"Don't worry, if the shooting starts, I'll make sure you'll be the first to know."

Grimlock didn’t appreciate Jetfire's comment about being rusty. He wanted to catch the Insecticons on the ground so the Dinobots could actually fight them effectively. Hanging out the door of a shuttle and firing his gun at them didn’t sound like a very effective strategy and Swoop was the only flier of the group.

“If you think you can keep eye on Decepticons without them knowing then go ahead. Keep away from planet inhabitants though. Me have no interest in having to deal with millions of flesh creatures. When you find out where Insecticons based at, contact me and we come and take them down. Maybe they have something we can use to fix ship too.”

Grimlock wasn’t completely sure he could trust the Autobot flier to carry out the mission. He wasn’t a warrior or even any sort of scout or spy, but he was their best chance of keeping tabs on the Insecticons. The crashed ship’s scanners could be counted on to keep working like they were. They needed someone out there with an optic on where they were going, and Jetfire was the best candidate.

Slag turned to Grimlock a little hot under the horns, "Why we not go instead?" He really wanted to go kick some 'con shaft. All this white stuff was ticking him off being so difficult to traverse in either modes. "Me tired of white stuff, go where footing good."

"AH!" Kickback suddenly shouted to the other Insecticons, "I'd knew I'd find it!" He detected the homing beacon from his ship coming from the north of his current location. Kickback hovered besides Bombshell, "Let's get going and let these chumps do all the hard work!" Kickback laughed a bit. "I bet we reactive our ship and find more energon before Shrapnel gets back."

Siberia-Shuttle Crash

Jetfire had finished equipping himself and looked over at Grimlock. He wondered how the Dinobot Leader felt, was he feeling inadequate at Jetfire taking charge in scouting out what could be potentially a combat situation? Jetfire's advantage of flight gave him the ability to fight in any situationg or enviroment, something that Grimlock didn't.

"Don't worry, Grimlock, I don't want to be trapped alone with a group of desperate Decepticons."

He indicated the shuttle.

"It's working and it's fueled up... Hopefully when I contact you, I'm not going to be in the middle of an air battle."

Jetfire didn't really like Grimlock that much, too much bad blood after that little incident with the Cerebro-shell. But he trusted Grimlock on the simple principle that when it came to helping out a fellow Autobot, he wouldn't turn his back when it was needed.

"I'm off."

He transformed into his Cybertronian Jet Form and shot out of the ship and into the shining skies.

Grimlock silently watched Jetfire take off. He still didn’t like the other Autobot, but he would prove useful here. He didn’t have any desire to chase the Insecticons all over the planet. He was happy to send the scientist to go do that.

The Dinobot commander turned to Slag. “Insecticons flying around right now over Ocean. Swoop only one who can fight them in the air. We wait for them to land at whatever base they have, then we stomp them. Me not like waiting either Slag, but me not like Insecticons getting away from us anymore. We get them on land, we finish them once and for all, then we can get off this planet and back to Cybertron.”

Siberia: Crash Landing Site

The shuttle carrying Jetfire soared off into the horizon as the dinobot flamethrower looked on. Grimlock was right about one thing, maybe two: Chasing the Insecticons all over the planet wasn't wise- time and energon consuming. "So we wait for them to land", he thought out loud. He didnt' realize he said it but it didn't matter. "Good plan," he agreed. The itchy finger was craving for action and scratching it was getting harder and harder to resist. Turning around he looked inside the landing bay of the ship and noticed there was a shuttle in there destroyed beyond repair. Flexing his fists he stalked into the bay with a grin on his faceplate. Abruptly he landed a solid punch on the smaller vessel hard enough to move it. Then he just let loose and started to give the vessel a beating to make the crash landing seem insignificant.

Earth Air-space

Jetfire shot over the clouds of the planet Earth. Everything was so different to Cybertron, it was amazing! This was a planet of new oppotunities, new scientific breakthrough, if they made it back to Cybertron he could potentially be seen as an Autobot Pioneer!

He looked down to see a small aircraft flying low down. A small fighter type like he was, but of Earth style and manufacture. Jetfire realised for the first time that he had never picked an alternate Earth mode millions of years back and decided to rectify that. In a few minutes, his sleek cybertronian fighter form had reconfigured itself into a shining white equivilent of the jet below him.

Jetfire shot off towards the source of the Insecticon signal.

Due to lack of players, primarily on the Insecticon side of things, the staff has decided to go ahead and shutdown this thread than to try and drag it out by NPCing the majority of the Insecticons. Both groups will be moved to Cybertron at some point in the near future. It will be assumed that the two teams met and fought, with the Dinobots and Jetfire proving victorious and taking the Insecticons prisoner. With the combined remnants of both ships they cobble together a working one and leave Earth bound for Cybertron. I will make a post with Grimlock and announce when they are approaching Cybertron. Until then I ask that you all continue to be patient with these characters.
