This is the 2nd thread you've started and continued an off-topic argument in within the past week, Rated X. I suggest not doing it a third time.

Let's get back to talking about Assaulter, not about e-tailer policies.

c/o FPC's site

Monday, October 1, 2012 - 4:01 PM
Thanks to all our fans for all the patience with so many projects going on. We have many announcements to make starting with this one. FPC will be releasing pre-orders soon for Assaulter and has confirmed with FP that members of FPC that order will receive a bonus with their figure.

This is FP’s thanks to FPC and it’s members for their support with Steel Core's first roll-out. We’ve done some refinements to the system as per feedback and will have those covered in another announcement.

The pre-order date will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

Looks like FPC will have preorders up soon! Hopefully shipping goes a bit more smoothly this time around.

As big as that guy looks in all the pics... I'm amazed he fits into the same sized box! The mini Steelcore & Defender are cute, but unnecessary. Carrier-mode's still just a tease eh?

The next 4-5 months are going to get really expensive. All these great MP and 3P figures coming out and finally getting into our new house. Maybe it's time to put my organs on Craigslist.

Still on th fence with this guy. As cool as he is .... it's going to be an $100+ Broadisde. I don't have any attachment to Broadisde! That's $100+ for a guy I have no feelings towards.

And yet he's pretty damn awsome.

Bah... doesn't really matter does it, just a kick-ass bot. No one had previous attachment to Steelcore... but I for one, am quite attached to it now! I also don't know where you're getting the $100+ from... pretty sure I heard he'll be around $80 before shipping, but I can't quote anything official on that. We'll know soon enough.

Yeah, I like how they're keeping everything very uniform... boxes will look nice on the shelf too. :p

Well, it matters to me and my budget. :P

I'd getting $100+ from looking at the prototype at TFcon. It's a large, weighty figure and far larger than Defender. But if it's $80 ...

Argh! The blue and yellow lines have been retained! Dammit!

He's so hench he looks like the box can barely contain him.

If the FPC exclusive free bonus is the miniature Defender and SteelCore vehicles then I think I can make-do without. I know the shelf price for Assaulter will be cheaper on FPC, but the flat-rate shipping and waiting a month for SteelCore to even ship really rubbed me the wrong way. I'm going to play it safe and go through one of Seibertron's sponsors.

Waiting for the retail release would make me uneasy too... I mean, how long has it been and there aren't even preorders up for the retail release of Steelcore? My only disappointment with the Steelcore preorder was only ordering 1. Had I bought 2 & eBayed one I could be owning the figure for free right now.

Anyone else getting a SDF-1 vibe from Assaulters carrier mode?

I feel you on that, I couldn't believe he was going for over twice the price.
There was a few that sold for 245$!
There's no way I'd sell Steelcore though, I feel he is possibly the greates Transforming figure to be released in a long time. Just nicely executed.
It's got me gunning for Assaulter.

Plus the boxes match! How awesome is that!

I haven't heard of a regular release for Steelcore. I heard he'd be released again, but I thought that would be at FP Core.

Nope, but that second one just makes me not want those leg stripes even more. I'm sorry to bang on about them but they really bug me.

The closest thing to an official word is that there is no retail release for SteelCore.

I'm pretty sure the original word was Steelcore only through FPC.
Higher price repaint would go to retailers.

Even still, a1000 eBay flippers just got a stiffy.

The Assaulter paint job i would like to see out of the two pics posted above is a mix of both. The legs with the stripping of the top pic and the darker toned upper body of the second one with the blueish purple in the shoulders and elbows along with the bright blue on the guns.

He has an extremely subtle painted job and muted tones. ANY contrast and "pop" is appreciated in my opinion.

Sure don't. Pretty sure they weren't posted around here. Until the new opinion change of 3P toys on this site I only came here for my TF news... blah, blah, blah

Who did these mock-ups anyway? They look great... though it just reinforces that I'll love that figure no matter how it's dressed... blue/yellow leg-circuits and all. This one has some unique, yet oddly attractive proportions.

I'm completely happy with its visuals so far... I just worry what it what it'll feel like in comparison to the other Warbots in this line. Hopefully Defender was a MAJOR learning experience and SteelCore was not a fluke.

You know the way Hasbro re-release their Masterpiece figures with an upgrade/retool, I wonder if FansProject fancy doing a job on Defender?
I would love a Defender in amongst my Classics!

Im warming to FansProjects Assaulter/Broadside the more I see him. I know in-package shots can be deceiving but am I right in saying hes around Voyager Class?

Not sure how that makes sense, I mean who doesn't own one of Defender or Steelcore? Who wants Steelcore if they aren't interested in TF homages? I guess the scalpers will go to town.

Just give us a damn pre-order for Assaulter on his own!
